after flash new rom install all old apps

When i flash new rom and run android market, then start downlaod and install all my app i have installed before flash new rom.
But i dont to that.
How i disable this feature?

If you mean apps you have purchased on the market is a feature that downloads the purchased apps automatically once you enter your gmail account. If that is bothering you uninstall them manually once you have the ROM installed

ok:
1. boot to recovery
2. wipe all (factory, sd-ext, dalvik)
3. flash new rom
4. start new rom
5. use wizard to config phone (local setting and google account)
6. run android market and this is critical point
7. after run android market start download all my installed apps from old rom (rom when i use before flashing new rom).
And my question is: How i disable it (download old apps in market).
I need have clear phone without any apps.

If you need a phone without applications what you should do after doing all you just posted is either login in with another google account that has not downloaded anything or uninstall manually the apps after login in

When you are entering your setup information you are selecting Google backup. If you do not select it, it won't download your apps. Which ROM are you using? Is it one of the hd ones?

How can we delete that backup now?

when i not select backup to google, is still same as i select this (backup to google). After start android market apps will downloading.
I test:
In old rom manual uninstall all apps from android market.
In recovery full wipe
Flash new rom
In wizard unselect backup to google
But when i start android market apps will downolading :-(
Where i search this backup on google ?

I too want to delete the existing backup that Google holds because it contains apps that I deleted ages ago because I don't want them (it even downloaded the CM background I used when I used an AOSP ROM a while ago). This happened after I flashed a hd ROM last night.
And I can confirm that regardless of selecting backup or not, the auto downloads occur.
Is the backup overwritten if you don't select it initially but then select it after you have configured your phone to how you want it? If so, how do you reset the backup option, can;t find it, do I have to re-run the setup wizard?
I'm currently back on a standard Sense ROM and don't plan on going to a HD one for a while but would like to delete whatever backup Google hold.

Seems like this only happens on Sense-based ROMs. I had a Sense ROM installed and flashed a CM6.1 Mod, and no apps were downloaded when I opened the market.
Maybe you can avoid this with the AppBrain App Market, which also synchronises your apps with Google to bring apps in your market list that have been installed outside the market via browser or sd-card.

Ok, this issue for me is now resolved having just reinstalled a hd rom (Alex-v 1.3 hd v2), basically I let the apps auto update then, once notified of completion, went into 'Settings-Privacy'-which is where I saw that backup wasn't ticked (as I had not selected it in the setup wizard) but that auto resore WAS but it was greyed out. I selected backup which then ungreyed the auto restore option and was able to untick both selections, once you do this you are given a messsage asking if you are sure and if you continue all data will be deleted. All sorted. Just means you have to go through uninstalling the apps you no longer want but it should be a one off from now. Happy days!

[Q] Android Market doesnt' work

hi, im new to rooting. i've just rooted my desire with cyanogenmod 7, and the android market doesn't seem to work? i can't download google map or any other apps from it. any help? thanks alot.

i guess you tried rebooting? that worked the last time I had problems with cyanogenmod, that being said i don't use it daily so I'm no expert

yup, i tried rebooting but it didn't work too..

Try wiping the cache, if that doesn't work, do a factory reset and wipe everything, do a fresh install and put gapps on.

does that mean i have to flash it back to stock rom and start all over again?

Have you tried to flash the G-apps again? Here's the link of the newest one: Google apps choose the CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread) version and flash it with Rom Manager or Recovery.

have you modified the .zip file , deleting some files for exemple?
I done it, and removed "Package Installer.apk" one time, so downloads were beginning but stopped each time immediately

Market download issues
I'm having similar issues using GingerVillain 1.9. Small market updates are downloading without issue, larger ones such as the latest Google Maps update are giving the message "download unsuccessful". I had similar issues when the market was updated from the old style, and wonder whether google are tinkering in the background.

i don't think i've removed any of those files..

I am having similar problems. I have installed the gapps, but it only installs a couple of google apps. When I try to install from the market some install fine but others (angry birds for example) don't. I see the downloading icon for split second then it goes away and the download stops.
Any ideas?

[Q] Desire with CM7.1 reporting “Your device is not compatible...” on market

I've got an HTC Desire GSM, previously on 7.0.0 RC recently updated to 7.1 STABLE, but have a problem with android market, loads of apps are coming up as “Your device is not compatible with this item” when I try and update them.
If I try to install anything new, same problem.
I've never changed the pixel density and I've tried clearing the android market data and cache, no change.
Also tried android market enabler app, still no fix.
Any ideas/suggestions? or is this a known issue?

have changed your HBOOT? I think that problem is due to the memory partition to just let r2 CM7 cache sometimes causes this error .... has a solution .... look in the search ....

I've been hunting through search results for a few days but am overwhelmed by the number of results that come back talking about pixel density... will retry searching for HBOOT related answers...

i have cm7 rom and cm7 hboot..no problems with any incompatible apps

Market reports that any application I try to apply an update is incompatible.
Market does not list *any* new applications to install...
Some searching suggests that I need apps2sd setup... so I was looking to install e2s... but I'd need the apk for that... and I can't install anything from market... fun fun fun.

Managed to find the apk somewhere, E2S installed and running... it's made no difference

Hmm, you're on to something there... when I log in my phone isn't listed... what could be causing that?
Just to clarify, the account lists all the applications I have installed (under my orders/my library).
When I go "My Devices" it just says "There are no Android devices associated with this account."

When you said you updated to 7.1 stable version did you flash it on top of your existing rom or did you make a full wipe?

Looks like a sync issue. Try to clear data for the market app and login again and see if that fixes it. Otherwise a full wipe and install is all that's left to do if you haven't yet.

did you open the market app on ur phone?

I think I flashed *over*... I did a nandroid backup, wiped data, cache, flashed cm71, then restored the backup.

The market app on my phone displays currently installed applications but I'm unable to apply any updates or install any new applications.

So just to be clear, the procedure for a full wipe and install would be:
1) Perform nandroid backup
2) Format the system, data & cache partitions
3) Perform a factory reset
4) Flash CM7.1
5) Flash the Google Apps zip package.
6) Restore nandroid backup

everything ok, except step 6!! DON'T restore ur nandroid..it restore everything (system and rom, data, apps, setting, sms, etc)..
if u restore it, its like if u never flashed cm7....restore ur nandroid only in case u want go back to ur previous rom if u don't like cm7
so after flash cm and the google apps, reboot ur phone (first boot may take a 5 minuts) and setup the rom..google account, apps from market, etc
if u like to restore ur apps (even sms and bookmarks for example) u can use titanium backup or other apps to restore a previous backup of these things

One more thing if you already wiped system, cache and dalvik then you wouldn't be able to boot to perform a factory reset. Unless I'm confused or didn't understand steps 2 and 3.

Got it, that was what I was thinking of, apologies for confusion.
I'll do titanium backup first and restore once the cleanup and flashing of CM71 is done.

try build.prop
Paste the build.prop in system folder. Then clear data of Google Services Framework from settings/applications/manage applications..... Restart phone...
this might not work on some roms and might corrupt the rom....
but u can always reflash it.... it worked with most of my roms...
after this ur phone vll be indentified as desire hd on the market...

So I tried flashing the rom and then restoring the backup wholesale... That caused the same issues to reoccur.
Tried flashing again and this time am restoring the backup one app+data at a time.
So far everything's working fine.

Not able to set default action!

No matter how many times I select an app to complete an action automaticaly - e.g selcting wapedia to open wiki links - it just never seams to stick. Pretty annoying! I am running ARHD.
Has anyone encountered this before? and how did you fix it?

On latest MIUI I observed the same behavior. No idea why... But I have to admit - didn't think much about solving it

Maybe the file is corrupt or left over from previous version and somehow incompatible with the the current version.
Could try backup with Titanium, reinstall ARHD with super wipe and then reinstall user apps and data, NOT system apps or data.

Yeah I was thinking that too... I think I did restore system apps... and I had other problems when I done that with the original desire... I’ll wait till the updated version of ARHD is released and only update user apps and data

If you want help, you will have to give more info than that. What ROM are you running specifically? Did you make any changes before this problem occurred? Is this a fresh install?

It's the factory TouchWiz rom and yes it was a fresh 4.4 kk install and I did root it could it be the host file? Cause I did another fresh install and all the apps work fine now except Google play store I've tried uninstalling it and then downloading the new version and putting it in system/apps giving full permissions for install then restarting my phone and nothing seems to be working. I did mess with the host file awhile ago but I did a fresh install again.

I don't see what a host file would have to do with all of your apps crashing, but then again doing a full wipe and reinstall should fix it if it was something you did with a file. Maybe you have a bad image? Could always just try going to your recovery doing a full wipe without reflashing and see if that fixes anything. Is the play store just force closing or what?

Yeah its just the Google play store and I've already done a full wipe first it was all the Google apps force closing literally now it's the playstore
