I found an Ink Pen Stylus to be very handy (when I had an iPAQ), since I never seemed to have a pen with me, but I always had my PDA. I found a place that has these for the XDA I, and they said they're tooling one up for the XDA II. So the more folks that bug them about it the faster they may bring it to market.
Here's the link ... let them know if you want one too.
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/ppctstylii.asp
Thanks
stylus
I also use the pen in my xda1 and would definitely want it for the I-mate I just ordered. How far off is the current pen from fitting into the xda-II? Is it too large around or too long? (can a somewhat handy person mangle/modify the current pen to fit in the xdaII  )
Mike
I sent them a note
I just sent them a note on http://www.pocketpctechs.com/contact.asp asking them when the ETA would be. I bet the XDA I would be close, but they said before they were tooling and XDA II up soon. So I would rather wait. We'll see what happens.
stylus
just for clarification... you said you had both the xdaI and xda II ?
Does your stylus from the xda I fit into the xda II slot? or is it too big in length or diameter? I sent a request to them as well since I love my littel stylus/pen/reset device.
Thanks,
Mike
I don't have my i-Mate XDA II yet, so I don't know if it will fit. Looking at the pictures, though, it doesn't appear it would work.
Also, I heard back from them and they said the following:
"Hi Tim,
I know it's in process, but asia is shut down for the next 10 days or so. I won't get an update until after their holiday.
Thanks,
leonard"
So it looks like we're close ... cool.
stylus
This is what I got back today
"Hi Mike,
"It is being designed now and should be released in the next few weeks.
"Thanks,
"Leonard
Fingers crossed
The XDA stylus is thicker and a bit shorter that the stylus for the XDA II. I seem to remember that it didn't fit.
Figured I would post this here... My thoughts on the Logitech Keyboard case for the Galaxy Tab 10.1:

I bought this at Target for 60.00. I am still working on getting used to it but so far I like it. The price was 40.00 less than amazon

No sorry but I am sure you could ask them at the web site somewhere.
on ebay, they are selling the refurbished units for $39.99.
Hello qbking77,
I just got a eWonder softkey silicone keyboard. It is great but i find silicone keyboard little odd. And I also find that keyboard can be very productive. I was wondering do you really like the logitech zagg keyboard. I think I can spend $99 for a good keyboard. How are keys? How does it feel? Do you like the size? How is the viewing angle?
I like you review on Youtube. Good work.
Thanks.
I wish Logitech makes the same keyboard with ITA layout but actually these dumbs only make ITA keyb for that damn i-thing
Target brick and mortar stores are carrying these for $59.99 new. Most of the stores in my area have a couple in stock. Thankfully their site indicates if a store has an item in stock or not.
A big YMMV on this. The Tab 10.1 16GB has also been marked down to $399.99 at local stores in my area. I picked up both and am quite happy with the setup. Couldn't imagine giving up my MacBook Pro but this has pretty much replaced it for light every day computing duty.
XT9 (spell check and word completion)
I received my Logictech Keyboard case for the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.I am very satisfied with it. There is one inconvenience that I am having. The XT9 (spell check and word completion) is disabled when it connects. I was able to get it to work by rebooting, but once the touch keyboard vanishes it no longer works. Does anyone know how to make it work?
Thanks
Any idea when the keyboard dock will be released?
I saw a thread on how to modify the keyboard for the Galaxy Tab, but I'd rather not do that if the Note keyboard will be out shortly.
Have no idea why Samsung doesnt release their accessories at the same time they release the product. To me they are just leaving money on the table. I mean all they need to do to release a keyboard for the note is change the size of the holder for the Tab keyboard.

Agreed. I have money in hand to buy the Samsung OEM bluetooth keyboard, OEM Bluetooth Pen, Otterbox case, etc. Unfortunately we are left with cheesy aftermarket crap and slim pickens from Samsung.
It would make sense if this werent their flagship product. I mean you would think they would want it swathed in brand name Samsung gear but no, nothing.
Its like hitting a home run but getting called out because you didnt want to run the bases.
All I can say is that Koreans are an odd bunch.

My feelings exactly. This is supposed to be Samsung's answer to the iPad. Unfortunately, the company isn't presenting their products in the best possible manner. And, I don't think the aftermarket crowd is going to lend much support with accessories until this tablet proves its worth in sales numbers.
What I'd really like to see is someone release a smart cover similar to the iPad's with a keyboard built into it like the Microsoft Windows 8 surface variety. But, maybe that's not a good idea considering the recent Samsung/Apple patent wars.

There's one being sold by HH Gregg online that is for the Tab, but seems to fit the Note, too. Several on Amazon have purchased it.
I migrated from the Tab 10.1 to the Note 10.1, I loved that keyboard, simply cause of the way it was designed and built. The tablet sits there locked in and you can have it on your lap comfortably or a table. Sadly, the tab's keyboard and the note are not compatible cause the note is a bite wider than the tab. Such a shame. Now I have to fork ~$80 for a new keyboard.

Please post a link not sure the exact keyboard you are referring to
I didn't post a link because I couldn't find it and by now they are sold out. Note users on Amazon snatched them right up.
Here's a BT That looks nice, I like the way the case tilts the keyboard and the Note

Anyone have this yet? Seems reasonably priced for what you get. Most BT keyboards I've found are in that 30 dollar range anyway.... thanks for the link.

If you care about whether it's real leather, and not PU, make sure to email them and ask the dirty question. They tend to not mention that it's not real leather.
Hi my name is Stefano and I have a Galaxy S. I know our smartphone is a little obsolete, but with the new jellybean-based ROM for me is still a great device. so I've build a cover with a built-in LED Flash for it, and I'm trying to reach the goal to give interested people the possibility to take pictures in low light conditions...
here is the link for Indiegogo's Campaign with all the details: http://igg.me/p/278277/x/1711899
I can produce it only if i reach 1000 items...

I would love to have one of these but my only question would be:
If you make your goal, would you consider the possibility of making an extended battery version of this case?
I only have a 3500mah battery for my vibrant

Hi, thanks for your interest... This kind of cover is only the first (I hope) model, as we write on the campaign description we would like to design coverlight for other device... If you aren't the only one in the world we can modify it's design based on that kind of cover, sure...
But first we need to reach our goal, it's very important you spread the voice in your Country, because I' m trying to spread this news in other Countries, but It's very difficult from here... Thanks and add @coverlight1 on twitter

Hi
It's a great idea ! it looks very professional.
I will spread the word.
will it be possible to lower the costs and the delivery costs ?
10$ delivery is not cheap you know, and back cover alone costs only a few bucks, so 30$ +10$ is not cheap to invest in an obsolete device such as SGS1.

I agree. that's a hefty price tag for old tech.
Hi everyone. I use my tablet with the stylus to take notes at college. It's been great, with some minor but notable inconveiences about palm rejection being a bit wobbly. Is there any good app to make the tablet stylus only when I decide it? TIA

I'm using Penly, it's pretty good
i am using touchnotes, it is really good in the free version,
it has many features and an one time purchase for the premium features.

thanks for the answers. for taking notes I use Nebo, and it's great, but what I am looking for is not a note taking app, but an app to turn the tablet into an "stylus input only" device, to prevent palm rejection with the stylus being wobbly. Something like that. It's confusing, I know. But thanks anyway
Hey, I tested many apps and I can tell that the best ones are xodo and notewise.
I think that xodo is the best on Android but is damn expensive with their monthly subscription ; fortunately, the free version is more than enough. Notewise is cheap with a one time small payment and has an amazing UI but has less features than xodo. And the free version of notewise is limited to 3 notes so if you're planning to using this one you'll have to pay it.
The one that works best for me was Flexcil, although the free version kinda sucks, the paid version is a beast like no other

+1
try also "MyScript Nebo" it has pencil support
Of course you can go for touchnotes or jnotes, they both have all features you imagine but till now, touchnotes is more stable with stylus pen, and cheap if you want to pay one time.

I don't think is possible what you want,. The pen touch part is the same digitizer for hand touch, yet different parts of the same driver, even you can inhibit the hand touch in the driver by adding a routine to disable at will the hand touch, your hand will still touch the digitizer/screen inducing touch events over the pen input, maybe you should ask Xiaomi MIUI developers to fix their drivers instead of finding a way to workaround that.
