Anybody have experience with the 1800mah Mugen Power battery? Are they any good? they are the same size as the regular one and fit the stock back cover.
The general consensus in other threads where this was already discussed is that it is a good battery. You might try searching for these threads to see some discussion

Is this the item?

This should fit the incredible 2 with the standard battery cover?
I have one on the way. Hopefully I get a few extra hours a day out of it. It would be nice to not be panic charging throughout the day.
So far not so good. Lasts til right after work for me on normal use. Reminds of the ****ty Seidio batteries

How long have you been running it 06? So my birthday present is maybe a dud then...
About a week. I've tested lots of batteries and this one is far from impressive. For $45 i feel ripped off

Great, thanks 06. I'll report back.
I've been using the Mugen 1800 for a couple of months now; I find it does last several hours longer than the stock battery. I am certainly not a heavy user of the phone but I do a lot of reading on it and a lot of google searches. I normally get ~30 - 35 hours between charges. I usually charge over night and then turn the phone off for a bump charge in the morning...works well for me. I especially like that the battery is the same size as the original and does not require a different back.
Great to hear. Familiar with the ole bump charge coming from Dinc 1

been using this for about a month now, on my days off when I turned off the 3G it can easily last for 60~hr on wifi with minimal usage, only a few voice calls, sms/mms, and browsing. But when I have 3G on, using BT and GPS navigator for two hours, I can get about 10hr before i need charging again.
For an accurate account of my battery usage I guess I could say I get about 8 hours out of it with moderate to heavy usage through the day. With the stock battery I'd average about 10 to 12 hours or so. Heaviest battery use is of course screen and everything else I've checked as very normal (<5%).
I'll give it another week then send it back. Every aftermarket battery I've purchased has been bullcrap. The best batteries I've tried are genuine OEM HTC batteries.
The stock Incredible 1 battery is a 1300mah and I purchased a genuine OEM HTC Touch Pro 2 battery at 1500mah for $15. HUGE improvement. Made my $45 Seidio look like a 1000mah. If I could find a comparable HTC battery with a higher capacity I'd gladly pay the same price as the Mugen for it.
I used the HTC branded EVO4G/Touch Pro2 in my original DInc too, and loved it; I tried it in the DInc2 for a couple of weeks without problems other than the back cover not quite closing completely. I still had good signal strength but it bugged me that the back cover wasn't quite right so I tried the Mugen and have been using it since.
I bump charged three times this morning while the phone was off. Haven't touched the phone until now and i'm at 77%. 2 hrs and 20 minutes and I'm down 23%.

Did you charge your mugen for 12hr as they recommended when you received it? I heard when they are new they need to go through 2 to 3 cycles before you see any improvement.

Me and one of my co-workers just got the Quickshippers version from Amazon... Maybe we just got a good batch but they are both working out great! New back covers that come with it fit like OEM too. Got them for $11 shipped... No issues so far...
i bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from this store. with minimal/moderate use, after 12+ hours, it was at about 74%.
finally got mine after more than 2 weeks..but they send me 3500 instead of the 2200 i ordered

my evo..i shipped it back today for a replacement. hope i get a better one
i can vouch for the 3500 battery. Bought it and have been using it. I figured the most accurate way to measure the battery life would be to leave it unplugged and just not touch the damn thing since saying i used it for 12 hours with moderate usage is rather subjective....
To my surprise, it discharges at a rate of about 1% an hour if not doing anything on it! On stock, running CM7, it would discharge at a rate of about 5-7% (i did used to have better battery life on the stock battery with netarchy's kernal and myn's rls 5 but i love gingerbread too much and realized i don't need sense [fyi it used to discharge around 3% if phone left on with wifi enabled and not doing anything) My results are better than expected because I did also apply the "lower havs -75mv havs edit" by viper in the development thread.
So in conclusion
3500 battery + savage-zen kernal + CM7 + vipers HAVS edit = awesome battery life
FYI: I did have to charge the battery fully and reboot once it reached a hundred to actually fully charge the battery. When I got it, it charged at a rate of about 5% per minute which I thought was really fast. Once it hit 100% I rebooted, it went down to 87% and slowly charged up to 100% (over 20-25 minutes). Then from there, I got awesome battery life.
I also tried to charge the battery with the phone off at that point and it didn't continue to charge; I also plugged the battery into an external charger at that point and it didnt resume charging either so I figured it reached full capacity.

Noice! I've got the classic one from Sprint. Works wonders with an SBC kernel.
My friend had gotten a Inc2 as a replacement for her BB and they sent her the extended for free as well as the regular. She didn't want it so I decided to try it out. I immediately noticed two things:
1) It adds negligible weight but a desired width to the phone, both are nice and work well with my large hands.
2) The backing for the extended battery actually makes clicking on the power button easier. Using the regular battery cover it was almost a chore to turn the screen on as the power button was almost flushed with the case.
So if you're thinking of shelling out moolah for it, it's a good bet you'll still love your phone afterwards.
But how's the battery life?
I have the extended battery also and love it! I just went to the lake for the 4th and didn't charge it from thursday morning until sunday around noon. Granted i didn't use the phone as heavily as usual i still spent around an hour a day on the internet, used gps, talked around 45 mins a day, and sent approx 50 texts a day. So i would say its pretty good!

it's b.s. though that the original Incredible had a 3500 mah extended battery where this one for the inc 2 is 2150 mah.
i'm waiting until a more powerful extended is available for the inc 2.
on a side note though, i used to have the thunderbolt and got the extended battery for that. the extended battery only helped a little bit but took twice as long to charge.
The only thing about other batteries is they may not work in the phone. I'm not sure about this phone specifically but my fascinate wouldn't charge one of the extended batteries I bought for it because it wasn't OEM. I had to install a custom kernel in order to make it work. In all honesty though, when I'm not on vacation I use the crap out of my phone and I haven't gotten it below 30% in a days time. And I'm sure if I HAD TO, I could go 4-5 days on a charge if I were away from my house/truck

How did she get one for free? I am about through with my 14 day trial and considering a return because of battery life.
Thanks
I just got a Dinc 2 for a replacement also. I was working on replacing my eris for the 5th time and I was able to talk them into this instead (note this does not happen all of the time). I think they have an abundance of returns on this phone so they are turning them into warr replacements.
Some people are getting new devices out of this, not just refurbs. I think they are using this one because it's one of their cheaper current models.
Anyone heard of or use these batteries? They sell em on Amazon pretty cheap and I'm thinking about ordering. Currently have the 3500 mah from seidio but gettin tired of the thickness.

Mine arrived yesterday
$28.99 for 2 plus a charger. I have a shift but same battery. Took about 3 hours to charge the first one then i stuck it in the phone. Been in there 13 hours so far. Light use last night before bed, some market browsing, couple text and a call. When i woke it's at 76%. Later today i'm going to let it run some movies. I ran 3 hours of movies yesterday with the stock battery and it was in the red so we'll get a comparison. I ordered the batteries thurs morning and they arrived sat morning using their regular usps shipping ca to nv.
post more later.
Yep, picked them up for my son's EVO and I periodically use them when I want a thinner look than my 3500. Put them both through two full drains and have had them a couple months, very nice. Charges take a while but prefer the trickle method. Read both pros and cons, but good experience for me.
Octiproc nvidgpu andrapple posted via the pocket...
comparison
2nd day with the Chichitec 1900 mah battery vs stock 3 month old battery.
Ran the same 2- 1.5 hours movie off the net (using 3g) back to back with stock and the 1900's. So 3 hours straight runtime for each. Also had location/gps checked ON to suck some more battery.
The stock beeped just as the movies ended and it was in the red.
The chichitec was in the yellow and showed 28%.
I've read new batteries new a few days use b4 they break in or take the max charge so i'll do a similar test in a few days.
Thanks keep us posted please

In the pictures on the website in the 1st post they show a "real" vs "fake" battery. Basically from what I can see, the "real" battery has a barcode on it. Then there is a picture that has a ton of batteries all stacked up which I assume is to show how many they have BUT they don't have a barcode on them! So they show you how to tell a real one from a fake one and also show like 500 fake ones in their add!
I noticed that the "real" one say HTC on it and the fake don't

OK been using 1 of the chicitecs for about a week comparing it to my stock.
Last 2 days results. Ran them both down till they quit. The chicitec had about 27 % left when i woke so went to work to run it down also. Easy winner. This on a shift 4g. I use cpu tuner (not for overclocking) so i get good battery life when the phones sitting idle. For $28.99 can't lose really for 2 batteries even if they didn't last a minute longer. I ordered mine thurs morning and received sat morning using their regular usps shipping from ca to nv.

ok heres the deal
battery life seems a bit better than stock. maybe cause the stock has lost a little capacity.
the battery seemed thicker than stock. but i removed the label from one of them, it might be thinner actually. stamped on the back is 1550 not 1900.
battery widget monitor says capacity is 1450.
if you're looking for 2 stock batteries ok. if looking for extended don't be scammed.
bought through amazon but my account there shows no purchase. not sure how htcexpress managed that. so i can't leave feedback (negative).
anybody who has these batteries wanna comment on the previous post?I was about to purchase these batteries but i dont want them if they're same as stock,1500 mah.
reading their feedback on amazon it seems very mixed.

u can the 1550 on the back of the one i removed the red sticker from. (In next post)
thickness is close don't have a micrometer!
1550
1550
false advertisement/htcexpress.com
also if you check the customer revies on this item it stopped months ago.
amazon is checking as to why. stopped by vendor after the most recent comments were negative?
In the beginning it gave me around 2-2.5 days worth of battery per charge which was fantastic. The extended battery weighed about 3x the stock battery for outputting almost 2x. I liked the fact that it lifted the phone up so it wouldn't damage the camera lense (since the lense does stick out past the back cover). It was the same plastic as the rest of the phone so it made the phone look stock.
But after about 5 months, the battery capacity greatly decreased to the point where I was getting about 7 hours until I received the 20% battery warning. This battery was preforming worst than the stock battery.
So in the end I went back to the stock battery. What was everyone else's experience with these extended batteries?
Thanks. I was just shopping for an extended battery this morning. My stock battery is still doing okay after 14 months, but I wanted something to counter the effect ICS has had. I saw Seido's on sale at Newegg and was about to pull the trigger, I'll hold off until I hear more.

Would you mind indicating exactly which 3800mAh battery you are reviewing?
Cell phone batteries and memory cards both suffer from a large amount of poor-product masquerading as quality. Reviews of this type of product are not actually helpful unless they identify the specific product, brand, and even seller.
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if I purchased an extended battery for $10 and it started to go bad after 5-6 months. As comparison, my stock battery went bad after about 13 months. While paying more doesn't guarantee that you'll get something great, it is generally true in my experience that you get what you pay for.

Yeah, after three trexcells, two that need to be thrown out because of bulging, I just got a qcell 4100. I know the number means nothing. It said to do 6 full charge and discharge cycles in the beginning, and let the first one charge for nine hours. I'm on my second charge so far. Don't know if it's true but I read somewhere to charge with the phone off. The first charge ran reaaaly long before dying. Don't know if it was bad batteries or bad external chargers, but both my Samsung externals would only charge the trexcells to 95%, even if it was a 12+ hour charge.
Here I am about 4-5 months in on my 3800 batteries. 1 trexcell and 2 generic. Far as comparing to stock? Stock batteries make me sick now. They drain so much faster. The big ones amaze me how long they last. I do rotate the stockers in so they dont sit and go bad. So ill have a few days of extended then stock then extended ect. The performace of extended is so good I now see the big lump as sexy! I did find a great use for my stockers. (have 4) I was in my best friends wedding the other day and with no case and slim battery the phone slid in tux pocket easy lol. +1 but half way through reception I had to drunken walk way out to car and get spare -1. Right now as I set im about to hit 2 days on Trexcell on the newest Jellyverse sitting at 37% +20.
I've gone through a number of batteries and long story short, they've all sucked. Even the original stock battery was crap. I've been using this battery for almost 4 weeks and I've been getting absolutely stellar battery life. I'm well beyond that initial conditioning phase.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2450mAH-EB6..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item4ac2c14f8b
2450mah. I'm usually skeptical of higher mah ratings as you can only cram so much juice into a given form factor, but I'm left wondering if lion chemistry has really improved this much. Ever so slightly thicker than a standard stock battery (same size as the 2100mah andida if anyone else had one), but fits the stock battery back w/ a bit of manipulation. E4GT is stock GB27 (w/ root). I'll get more screenshots now that I'm really paying attention to performance.
I'm getting consistent 4hours+ of screen on time while actively using the phone. 2 google accounts, sync enabled, no kernel tricks, 'auto' screen brightness (not lowest), haven't even disabled useless apps, etc.
Sample size will soon be 2; i've ordered a 2nd battery for my wife's phone so I'll compare once it gets here.
tldr: 4+, could probably eek out 5 hours of active screen on phone use w/ a standard size (non-ugly hump) battery.
Nice I can barely get 1 hour of battery life from mine.

How's the battery holding up now about 6-7 weeks since you got it? Still really good battery life? When you do about 4-5 hours of screen time how many hours of battery life are you getting? Also what rom are you on? And how does your wife's battery that you ordered compare? Sorry for the 21 questions, but thanks

I'm wondering this too.
im also wondering if this is legit...not a bad investment for $7 but it wouldnt even be here for another month. I just got an epic 4g for $50 and am super satisfied with it (coming from the beast Note 2)...I'm actually surprised with its performance all around EXCEPT for the battery life. I do realize the battery and phone are close to 2 years old which is why im looking into a new battery.....
but really, selling my note 2 for 400 and picking this up for 50 is prob the best investment I ever made, saving my upgrade for "the next next big thing" :good:

I'm curious as well.. OP please deliver!!
I bought 2 of these for $10 about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. With 4g, bluetooth, and gps on all day, I get about 14 hrs (with 3.5-4hrs screen time) and still have about 15% before putting it to charge. Great deal

So you been using it for 2 weeks? Is it really a stock sized battery - will fit with otterbox? Think I might get it... 4 hours screen time is excellent
I'm on Calks EL29, so not a JB rom, but yes 2 weeks. Its a little tight, so I took the label wrap off to save some thickness.

Is it able to fit inside the phone without having to buy a replacement back?
Yes, you still use the same stock back the phone came with, its just tighter.
The only question in my mind is longevity, as I have purchased some knockoff batteries (sold as Samsung OEM with almost identical labeling as the original battery), that started to degrade within a month and now are useless except for short term emergencies.
Most people on these forums swear by Anker batteries, which I've never tried, but I still have Ferocity Mobile batteries (bought on ebay but no longer sold) which are still going strong. They just dont hold a candle to these 2450s,so they are my backup batteries now (have two Epic Touch phones in the family).
I will report back periodically on how they are performing over time.

Would you or OP be able to do a test on those 2450 batteries that OP has? Do you have the same type of battery as OP? If so could you please run a streaming netflix 3g test on it and see how long it runs till it drains from 100 to zero. I'm a HEAVY user on my phone and that would be the closest way to gauge it to my usage even though i don't stream video all day lol. Thank you
Yes, same battery as the OP.
Link the test and I'll try it.

Well there's really no test link. I meant if you could just drain it under heavy usage and post a picture of the Battery usage and then the screen on time. Thanks
I'm not a Netflix guy.
Bottom line: Its cheap and gets to you fairly quick considering China, so why not take a shot if you need a battery?

You're right and it does fit in the original battery cover which is awesome. For the conditioning what did you do? Did you do a full discharge then recharge 6 times?
Bought two

Figured it was worth a shot since it is so cheap.Any recommendations for methods or software to calibrate? Just charge/discharge cycles as listed above or something else?

Callibratimg doesn't do anything useful. It doesn't hurt either but it is pointless.

How about calibrating a bigger battery? I have the QCell 4100 and I was told to calibrate it everytime I pull it off the charger at 100%.

Callibratimg does nothing for the battery. It clears the battery stats. That's it. A reboot does the same thing.
