When people say full wipe before changing roms what exactly are the steps. Can we compile a how to here for new folks
In CWR there are 2 wipe options. One of them is effectively a factory reset and the other is a cache wipe. Performing both is a full wipe.
I also wipe dalvik.

^agreed. Wipe dalvik cache under advanced in CWM. This wipes the cache of your dalvik virtual machine.
I wipe my own... ;-)

There is a "wipe all function in the newest 4.0.1.4 recovery made it's the best recovery, I'd give it a shot.

There are two cache wipe options under advanced. They are separated if you want to wipe only one of them. Wiping the entire cache (formatting that volume) should hit the dalvik cache as well.

is Superwipe just
1. wipe cache partition
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. wipe davlik
is that as Super of a Wipe as you can do when switching Roms?
When each is done 3 times

In France they call that a bidet.
Hey guys, I'm a little confused on how to use CWM to do a CLEAN install. Say if im using cleanROM and i want to jump into JediX or what ever, do I need to go into Recovery, Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and delvik AND format cache, system, preload, sdcard???
Or all have to do is just wipe data/factory reset and wipe delvik and cache?
My method for a ROM switch like that is wipe cache wipe dalvik then factory reset then wipe cache wipe dalvik.Install ROM wipe cache wipe dalvik then fix permissions.Boot phone up don't touch screen or anything let sit for 10-20 minuntes. Then reboot tweak and enjoy. That method has never done me wrong since 2009 .

Hello,
It's been awhile since I installed a custom rom.
What is the proper procedure in doing a full wipe?
thanks,
I always do a factory reset first. Then wipe cache, dalvik cache, data, and system.

There's a lot of posts about a wipe script but there mostly from different phone threads.
I don't see one for the Sprint S3.
Would someone mind creating a wipe script that does
Wipe Factory Reset / Wipe Data (2x)
Wipe System (2x)
Wipe Dalvik Cache (2x)
Wipe Cache (2x)
Wipe Internal SD card ( 1x )
and a 2nd script that only does
Wipe Dalvik Cache ( 2x )
Wipe Cache ( 2x )
I'm using CWM and I don't want to button mash my device to death just to wipe certain categories.
Thankies.

There's no need to wipe anything multiple times. Twrp recovery lets you wipe everything at once

You could flash clockworkmod touch recovery?

Sent from a Premium Xda app using the Flo Nexus 7.
I would still have to navigate through menus to wipe.
xP sorry but I just hate having to do that when I want to fully
clean flash.
With the wipe script I can just use that and I'm one menu away
From flashing ROM.
