Has anyone in the UK found somewhere to buy the USB adapter? I've had a good search but can't find anything, and there doesn't seem to be one listed on the UK Samsung site.
What about kirfs from china? I've seen one for 4 quid on ebay and it says it will work...
Edit
It's gone now ;/

Anyone else?

Thank you - ordered one and it says it will be in stock in 2 days. Will report back and let you know when it turns up.

Wow, that's half the price of expansys. Neither have it in stock at the moment - expansys lead time has gone up to 4 days :-(
It is $19.99 in the US which is about £12.50 so expansys are taking the mickey.
Yes they are a bit - we normally pay the dollar amount in pounds which is enough of an insult, expansys are really rubbing it in.
On the plus side - just got a dispatch notice from them so at least it seems like I will get it this week
I checked expansys tonight the dufference being clove is just the usb adaptor where as expanys is both a usb and a sdcard one just ordered myself one

Good spot! Happy again now
Ordered from Expansys
And arrived - top marks for expansys!
Can i use my SdCards with this adapter ?
i don´t see any holes for these
Yes - there are 2 separate adapters, one for USB and one for full size SD cards. The expansys link above is for a kit that provides both adapters. The clove link is to the USB adapter only.

Sorry for the weird request but can you take a picture with the adapter in the tab 10.1. I would like to see a size comparison.

It is Micro HDMI to HDMI.
I found the cheapest to be a 1 footer for 11$ with free shipping from Brooklyn on ebay. Also, if you use Bing cash back, you can get 8% off (88 cents ). I would post links, but i cant.
I just searched for Micro HDMI on ebay and came up with plenty of options for $10 or less.
monoprice.com - they have high quality cables for the cheapest prices
just bought one off ebay
6.90 along with free shipping here to hawaii.. why can china ship here for free, but u.s. charges 12 bucks?

Rule # 3 - Next try BlueJeansCable
I couldn't believe this but, I was at a verizon store yesterday asking about the hdmi cables and another customer overheard me. He pulled me aside and told me that you can get at lowes in the satellite dish dept. He said you could get a 12 foot cord for half of what verizon charges. I'm going to head over there shortly to find out if it's true.
Update... If lowes has them I didnt see them. they had regular hdmi cables but nothing for micro usb. I think the guy misunderstood what I was looking for.

Buying non-oem from china means it'll work for a month then it breaks. Long run you're gonna spend a lot more. Avoid eBay spend a few bucks more and get something reliable.
I got my hdmi cable (15 ft) and a new usb cause the box one is too short (6 ft) for only 15 bucks from monoprice.com with next day shipping.

The seller "Eforcity" on eBay has a LOAD of cheap HDMI cables, I saw one for $5.50 shipped earlier.
I'd post a link, except this is my first post.
I just got an email from Samsung on my backordered EPL-1PL0BEGSTA USB adapter. They said it was available for order and they accepted my order. No charge for shipping USPS but they did charge me Pennsylvania state sales tax.
I received the email as well. I am tempted to order, but I'm wondering if it will take a long time to be delivered like the case I ordered from them.

what are the chances of receiving this by this saturday?
I have someone leaving to go abroad this saturday and need to get this adapter.
of course, the easiest would be for me to stroll into a local BestBuy and buy this outright but i'm not sure if the stores will get this in time.
Also, I'm unable to change the shipping option. The only available option is 'free flat usps'
so conflicted right now
Just ordered successfully as well as an extra data/sync cable.
IO coupon code worked and had all three shipping options available. Chose Flat rate as I am assuming its the USPS flat rate shipping box priority. Best bang for the buck anymore usually gets to me in 2 days.
-Lil'
I'm thinking they're open on weekdays only. I ordered the case from them on a Friday. They didn't ship it out until that Monday. I received it the Friday after I placed my order. In other words, they shipped it Monday, and I received it Friday. Took 5 days.
I'm assuming it will take just as long for the USB adapter to arrive.

Should work. I've used a 80GB HDD with my adapter and it works fine.
Ordered on saturday, just got an email today (monday) that it has shipped. (I took advantage of the google-io coupon code and ordered a bunch of other stuff to raise the amt to +$99 to get free-next-day-ship.. hey.. it was all discounted anyhow!) Am bummed that the hdmi adapter was not available tho.
Just ordered a leather pouch (tired of sliding my tab in/out the belkin slim case) and a USB adapter. Used googleio code and got a %30 discount. I'm hoping this will enable my 1Tb external WD passport SE and/or a logitech USB game controller.
Mine is shipped, I received confirmation and tracking from UPS, it should arrive tomorrow.

Mine has yet to be shipped. Perhaps it will go out tomorrow.
Went into work today and it was finally available ...everything I tried is too high powered for it though except the USB mouse I have. Any solutions to this?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App
I don't have the Adapter yet but with the XOOM a powered USB hub was the old solution for high-powered accessories. Now I have to checkout my BestBuy.....thanks!!!
Yeap, I got one last weekend at BB's. Online showed they were on pre-order but when you check availability by store, they showed me which stores had them in stock.
I checked my local Best Buy here in MN about 2 days ago and there was a spot for them, but they were sold out.
Can anyone supply the Best Buy part number? I can't find any it anywhere on Best Buy's site.
Edit: I found the SKU: 2837365
I finally found one in stock as well. I have a issue with how fragile the darn thing is while connected into the tablet.
Looking for a "extension cable" solution if anyone knows there exists one (see this thread for details:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16283496&postcount=42
)
None of my local stores show this in stock, well one sorta close to me but not worth the drive.
There was a post about a 30-pin SD card adapter for the GT, I think I would much rather get that instead. That would save a lot of space of a thumb drive sticking out of the adapter.
I haven't seen Alfa adapters in BB. I got mine from and very happy with the result. Very powerful adapter

I got this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004DBD4TG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 and it works fine yet i need to try it with my reg. usb power adapter...
Any charger compatible with previous Galaxy Tab devices will work.
Thanks all! Ordered one. Still silly that they use proprietary chargers and pinouts...

If you ever feel the need to be more then two feet away from the charger while using your tablet this is a good option.

Nice find, but I hate having to wait for items to be shipped from Hong Kong, why not just get a USB extended cable like any of these.
TS
Normally sure, but that item arrived from HK in 5 days and I purchased a OTG cable as well from the seller.
Plus its fairly high quality 22 gauge wire in one continuous cable.
Its win....
I bought a bought 3M/10ft usb cable from eBay but the connection that goes into the phone is quite loose.
Can any recommend a quality/branded cable of that length from a UK stockist ?

That's hardly any help, do you not think he did that already?
To the OP, I can't recommend any specific cable to you, but I do have some experience with some of those "OEM chargers" that are often advertised on Amazon. I ordered 2 of them off amazon, and both of them were not actually OEM chargers and they both barely worked. One didn't even charge my phone (emailed the seller and got a refund, but it's the principle), and the other one had a faulty tip that didn't sit tight in my phone. The only thing I can suggest is being careful, sorry I can't link you a cable. Hope you find one.

Don't know if Amazon UK stocks same brand cables as Amazon US. As I replied to poster above, might want to try and do a little research to see what's best.

I'll second this. Best cables I have used for the price.

I have bought many cables from digitalkynectonline on Ebay. The cables have held up very good. I have bought 6ft and 10ft cables and they are reasonably priced. The ends are molded unlike some of the cheap cables you get on ebay. The cord is heavier than than alot to and seems to take alot of abuse. The ends seem to fit in the phone nice and tight.
I have putchased the cheap ones off of amazon. Only use prime. Most work for several months. Expensive ones seem to work as well as the cheap ones. If I get one that does not work I ship it back at no cost. For $2 or $3 dollars a cable it is worth it.

I don't like buying cables chargers or batteries on amazon eBay or other similar sites. I've been burned a few times. Rather then taking my chances, I order from reputable company's only. I would recommend PowerByGen they are very good products. Check them out. http://www.powerbygen.com/Cables_c_12.html

I know this might seem out of left field, but Motorola's MicroUSB cables have always been incredibly reliable for me. They're made tough and any deep operations I may do (S-OFF, adb sideloading, etc) work flawlessly with them. They're not the perfect price like at monoprice.com but if you don't care about price and just want quality, Moto ain't too shabby.
