i need a rom or the options to appear in the incredible i have flashed to boost i want the update profile and prl options to be in the incredible can anybody help me with this

Hi All
I just received a text message from Sprint saying an Update PRL was available for my EVo. I am rooted and running Myn's Sense ROM. Wondering if it is safe to update the PRL? Am i gaining anything by doing it? My phone is working great, have no issues, so perhaps i should skip it?

Yes, you can update the PRL safely. Don't worry about it.
Ok im on htc evo 4g using the jiminy IV for cricket,
My phone is flashed to Cricket Wireless.

And i currently says in system info that i have
PRL Version 30900
Now idk if this is currect info if its been flashed or what or if this is just the original prl from sprint?
Even though im not on sprint im on cricket wireless

On the jiminy V for cricket thread he gots PRL version: 427000 Now
427000 compared to what my phn says in system info as 30900 im assuming is A BETTER PRL the 427000? am i right?
And if so should i get this new prl or a higher # prl that i can find for cricket and flash it????
Is that how that works?
And also,
all i know about prl is it shows the info about roaming and what u can roam on and what not does this mean better coverage for me? if i got the latest?

Hi guys after i did the 3g hack updating the prl to 0001, i can't receive sms. I was trying to update the PRL using the phone settings UPDATE PRL and it is giving me an error. Can someone please help me or give me a link with the lastest PRL. THANK VERY MUCH

If you're talking about Settings: System Update: Update PRL / Update Profile / Update Samsung Software / Update Firmware, don't do it.
I updated my PRL and it sucked down the latest Sprint PRL. I had to put a cricKet PRL back on the phone to fix it.
I tried the Update Profile option and it sucked down all of the information from the previous (Sprint) user, including their phone number (NAM), their mobile network settings ([email protected] instead of [email protected], etc.). I had to re-flash the phone.
It did allow me to update the Samsung software and it did allow me to update the firmware without incident, however, I am running a Sprint ROM. If you are running a custom ROM (including rooted Sprint ROMs), I would not recommend using any of the above menu options.

Im looking for a rom that allows to update the prl. I used to have a note 3 and was able to find one but i am unable to find one for the lg g3. I have sprint service and searched the forums as best i could. If anyone has any knowledge of rom with this option please let me know. Thank you
do u mean update the prl manually by pointing it to an actual .prl file? if so then as far as I know this does not exist on G3.
if you just mean the standard PRL update in the settings menu... all stock-based Sprint roms should have that ability... and any aosp-type roms would not.
I've seen a post somewhere where it was recommended to do a nandroid on your AOSP rom, revert to stock, update PRL and Profile, then restore your AOSP rom. It's a pain, but it should work.
Yea i was meaning to point to a file to update the prl. i have sprint and the service is not very good within certain buildings. I did it on my note 3 which was easy to do, just cant seem to find a rom for the G3.
