Hi folks,
When I turn on my FM radio it turns on bluetooth as well. How can I disable this? I'm thinking about changing my FM radio app if this issue can't be solved. Anyone knows a good FM radio app? Thanks in advance.
Btw, i'm running CM7

As far as I know you can't stop the Bluetooth coming on when you use radio because the radio needs the B\T chip to work.
Certainly in CM7 anyway

It's entirely normal. It's just that Sense ROMs hide this fact from you, and CM is transparent enough to show it.
Thanks for your help guys, didn't know that. One more thingy: when i turn off my fm radio, the radio icon in the not. bar remains, only that the text changes to 'radio is turned off'. It will stay there until i kill the app. Is there any way to hide it?
Thanks in advance.

I'm also having FM radio issues with CM7 on my SGS2 (had the same with my SGS one, simply stopped using radio but this isn't an option anymore and I'd rather not go back to stock Sammy). It turns bluetooth on and everything but there is no sound. Nothing in the headphones or speakers and I've literally tried every setting possible
Any ideas?
Curious if there is a solution to this problem... I am experiencing the same

I have a simular problem. When turning on the FM radio it only plays thru my headset for about 2 seconds and then goes on external speaker ???
Everything else works on the FM radio, so no other issues.
When I play mp3's it doesn't happen btw.
uninstall the radio app and install Sprint Radio ...its good
Radio doesn't have sound, what's the damn problem?...

So I'm currently using CyanogenMod 6.1 which I had upgraded to today. I also decided to use the headphones that come standard with the 3G slide. However when trying to use the buttons with the headset... they stop working. I've used stock music app, Winamp for Andriod and Currently DoubleTwist for Andriod and none of them work.
I'm wonder what do I have to do to get this working. Thanks in advance.

I've never gotten the headset buttons to work with the factory headphones unless I was using a stock ROM. Any other ROM they would either not work at all, or intermittently.
So then basically you're telling me that I'm SOL? There is no fix or work around?

Well, not entirely, I am just saying what I've experienced. I've made a thread on the same issue a while back and never found a fix, but who knows, there may be some sort of headphone file that has button mappings or something, but I've never found any. Some people do not seem to have a problem with a lot of bluetooth headphones, so that may be a work around, but I am only guessing.
My headphone is the same problem, cannot control after i root up cook rom. But the bluetooth headset is ok. Anyone have sollution to fix this bug, please....
Same here :-(, with g2, no headset buttons response :-(. But thank goodness read this post, I thought my headset had come of age...
But does that mean, something else I buy from the market would work?
I just got and rooted my phone and everything then flashed CM RC02. When I open my FM radio my bluetooth also opens. Is this normal? Is there a way to prevent this when using FM radio?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
I think blue tooth is required for the fm receiver.
i see. thanks for clarrifying. i'm still a newb.
I've just flashed my desire with insert coin's 1.0.9 rom 2.3.3 and the voice on google nav has turned itself right down when using the headphone jack and music is playing.
I have this set up so I can listen to music and navigate whilst driving. Any ideas on how to get around it?
I've searched on here but no luck so far.
Thanks
Ive read else where that its specificly related to the 3.5mm jack. So ive ordered a bluetooth fm transmitter. We'll see if that works

Are there any FM stations in Your Area?

I've got some questions for you:
Have you tried to change the ROM to see if the problem get fixed? (I mean the problem of not working headphones.)
Does the microphone on the HTC headset works? If no, then the headset is broken and that's causing the problem and you must buy a new one.
Does any headphones work on your phone? If none of them work (ordinary headphones or the HTC headset in the phone's pack) then the problem is with the headphone jack of your phone, which is the worst case scenario and I don't know whether it can be repaired or not.

When my phone is one and i connect my headset my phone does not realise the headset has been connected therefore the sound keeps coming out of the speakers.
When i restart my phone with the headset connected it do realise the headset is connected and music is sent to the headset.
But if i take the headset out and in again, and the take the music on again, the music is coming out of the speakers.
Does anybody have a solution, or do i have to return it to the store to get it fixed?
Morten
Check there isn't anything inside the jack. With my Inc S I always used to get fluff in there from my pockets. Use a toothpick to try and scrape anything out
I have this problem too. There is a work around, download toggleheadset from play store.
It doesn't fix the problem but means you don't have to restart the phone all the time.
Sent as my GF gets angry at me for playing with my HTC One X....again.
Does anybody know if this is a hardware or software problem?
I dont know if this is allowed, but i would like to bumb this thread.
Whatever you do, DON'T use a screwdriver to try and fix it.

I just wondered if it was a software problem, if a reinstall of android would fix it?

If you can hear stuff from it after using the toggle then it will be software.
