[Q] Undo a battery % mod on a sense rom (2.3.3) - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I must be the only one out there that does not like battery % mods.
Therefore I would like to rip the battery display files out of a stock rom and use them to replace the ones on another rom. I very much like the Sense 2.3.3 stock battery, it is big beautiful and green lol.
I just need help in locating these files in the system cause I have no idea where they are located.

Just to clarify, you're talking about the Sense battery widget, right? On CM7 (before I ended up with a locked EVO), I preferred to have the battery percent show up in the status bar and not waste space on my home screen. Personal preference...

No, im talking about the sense battery in the status bar, next to the clock. I downloaded a "clean sense battery" zip from themikmik.com and it works. I just forgot to wipe dalvik and cache first which may be why it was throwing my phone in a boot loop.

[Q] Can someone point me to a mod to display battery percentage on the battery icon?

Like the topic asks, I'm looking for a battery mod to make the battery icon on the top status bar look like what you see in AOKP for example. I like TW so I'm staying stock rooted right now.
I don't want a circle mod, just the battery icon with the % number on it.
Thanks!

maybe try searching and something will come up?
Apparently I must not be as smart as you because I didn't find what I was looking for when I searched.
Try the settings bro.
Stock TouchWiz
Settings>Display>Display Battery Percentage
what firmeware if you run lh1 i have a modified version that does that
i run lh1 as it is the latest that works correctly with google wallet
I'm almost 100% positive that this is included in the stock rom without any modifications.
Under display settings it has the option to display the percentage next to the batter icon. Probably not the exact battery mod your looking for but the stock software does support it.

[Q] pulling a battery icon from one rom and using on another rom

im sure im overlooking something here, im trying to pull the circle battery icon from liquidsmooth rc9, and use it in jb sourcery 3.1lte. i cannot for the life of me find it in the original SystemUI or framework-res in liquidsmooth. i decompiled them and im digging around and was able to find all the battery icons EXCEPT the circle one. if anyone knows the one im talking about that would be awesome. its the cyan color scheme with a real smooth circular rotation when its charging. when it isnt charging it doesnt have any dashes or dots, just a solid circle and i think there was a battery percentage in the middle.
That sounds like it is the CM circle battery, which is actually done via code and not just simply images.

[Q] noti icon and time placement

I'm not much into being a dev and I'm busy with work all
the time. Is there a separate file to flash for icons and time to
be on the left side and not the right? i dont want to flash a specific
rom just to have everythig on the left and MOAR Rom doesnt have the
option to have it all on the left with background apps to be on the right.
Searched google and forums and theres only specific roms that
has only the time to be set on the left instead of all wifi data alarm etc
on the left.
Thankies in return for replies.

Does morphology have that option?
All Battery results are on a 6300mah battery, unless otherwise noted!
Morphology only has Center Clock / right clock / remove clock. MOAR rom does the same as well.
The only ROMs i can think of that can set the Time only to the left is the RLS8 and some custom MIUI's from the
rom. I was looking more towards an AOSP ( Navi Bar ) type rom with all the icons in the notification bar on the left.
Frankly Only a few TW roms and MIUI themes have only the time set to the left and not everything else with the
background apps set to the right.

I am not knowledgeable enough in decompiling apks, but my initial thought is to take a look at the Systemui.apk and see if you can find the file to modify in there. Sorry I couldn't be more help on this 1!

Its alrights thank you for the replies though

[Q] Question on removing stock battery notification

I just installed the GSam battery app on my Nexus, is there a way to remove/stop the stock little battery level that always displays in the notification area? I can't really see the use of having 2 battery level displays going all the time, and I like the widget the gsam has for an easy to read indicator of my charge.
I believe some ROMs support hiding the signal bars, so it should be possible with the battery as well, though I'm not sure if any ROM currently available has the option. You could try decompiling the framework-res and replacing the battery icons with empty png's, but then again I'm not sure what the result would be, so always make a backup.

{REQUEST} Battery Percentage mod for Stock Rom

Is there a battery percentage mod for the stock ROM on the Verizon One? I found one on the standard one forum but it wouldn't work, I had no status bar at all. I know you can turn on a percentage readout next to the battery in the power menu, but it makes my icons on the status bar almost reach the far side of the phone at times

Try xposed framework. Not sure if it will work with stock rooted. If not, you may want to try Santod040's deodexed stock ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485319
Thanks man, will check that out

Xposed framework works on stock rooted. Sense 5 toolbox has a lot of nice tweaks percentage battery mod included.
HTC One s-off
+1 for Sense 5 Toolbox, while I've noticed a few things don't seem to work, the status bar mods do and that makes it worth it.
Isn't there already a battery % display in stock? Or are you looking to change the color and icon?
