Anybody know how to do this in Sense 2.1 (running RMK Gingersense right now)? Not looking for anything super special just a simple percentage would be nice, esp if someone has cooked up a simple patch for it.

is it me or is that site down? I been trying to connect all day and it goes to loading page error
It's been up and down. I managed to get through yesterday.
I just want a 6 signal bar mod and BIOS boot screen! D: lol
yeah I went to try UOT before I posted but it's been down for me yesterday and today the times I've tried That's why I was wondering if someone had cooked up one.
I might just try to learn to do it the old school way and rip out the apks
I would like the same thing, no one has themed it yet?
I've been using the "circular battery indicator", it shows %s in the status bar; You can find the .apk for it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8639993
No root required, put it in the root of your SD card and install it through Astro or another file manager.
I'm also looking for this mod on RMK's GingerSense. I'd like the stock battery with % though. Hopefully an apk will be made available.

i tried the circle battery mod and it broke my soft key lights and took away my transparent notification bar. did you have no side effects?
I did, I didn't notice right away, but ny soft lights are intermittent, still looking for a fix, I will post my findings

ChrisDDD posted a mod for gingersense in the dev section. Adds % and removes gps crosshairs from status bar
Sent from my rooted GB ADR6350
I switched to this one after tnez mentioned it, had to reinstall the transparent notifications window, but is working without my soft keys being intermittent, good looking out
found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206358
Thanks to ChrisDDD for creating this battery status, really looks good.

I'm currently running SkyRaider's 3.1 Sense rom on my Incredible but im having issues with random reboots, etc. I tired Virtuous 2.7 rom and its ridiculously smooth. The only thing that really bugs me about that rom is the notification bar. I hate the stock one now that ive gotten so used to the transparency. I used the Incredible Revolution theme and the notification bar was fine but i wasnt really feeling the whole red colored theme. If someone can help me out with making a zip file for a transparent notification bar like the one in SkyRaiders rom i will definitely consider buying you a beer. =P haha

im talking aboout the pull down menu that has the notifications. ive only found one with a 50% shade.
I'm also searching for this.
I would also like an easy way to modify the transparency on the notifications pull down. I haven't found an easy way yet (other than begging a dev to do it )
There is a post somewhere with a flashable file for this
what roms are you guys running? i figured out how to do it.
skyraider 3.3.2 - have you figured out how to change the color yet?
please tell how to do transparent! the only flashable zip of it i could find only works with the stock sense launcher and still didnt work too well
If anyone knows who put out these great mods, I wish to give credit to where it is due. These are NOT my mods, a combined mod would be a big help.
This mod moves the time and date of the TWlockscreen down as to not interfere with the music player pull down from the Fascinate, it also modifies the coloring of the Music Player controls for both the lockscreen and status bar from lame purple to Epic Blue. And finally it adds in battery status by 1% increments.
UPDATE: kab0b0's work to get 2 mods combined ROCKED and solved one of the stupid purple backgrounds, I have now taken it a step further and managed to find both of the horribly lame purple backgrounds for the music app (lockscreen and status bar) and have modified them both to a more Epic Blue. I have uploaded this file. Again I take no credit for either of the Mods themselves (BOTH AWESOME, hence the need for combining), it was kab0b0's work that got us both combined. I just tweaked some colors, pm me if you wish to change them further and I can give you the specific files I had to change in order to get it working if you like.
I'll look at it tonight when I get out of work if someone don't beat me to it

If you haven't used that clock on the bottom mod it screws up your lockscreen pretty bad. If you still wanna use it though I can combine these mods for sure when I get off work tonight.
If you're just wanting the lockscreen mod for use with the music player, I made a new version that just moves the clock down and doesn't mess up your lockscreen. I can combine that with the other mod if you'd prefer.

That would be awesome, I would totally be interested in the new lockscreen. Thank you, now just need to find out how to change that horrible purple to a more epic blue.

Haha no problem. Actually, I'll look into that color change. I have a feeling I know exactly what needs done. Err but don't quote me on that lol.
Here, I rolled those two into one. I managed to get the background color changed on the pulldown menu from the notification bar but have yet to find the one from the lockscreen sorry. I'll keep hunting it down.

awesome i was looking for this also!
i flashed this and it works great but it also turned the startup sound back on. anyway to fix this and keep it off?
Looks like I was beat to the punch

Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
It does not include the actual music player.. Not sure why it would enable startup sound but I'll take a look after work!
hey, sorry if I sound like a total noob to this stuff, but how do you install the mod once you download it on the phone?
edit: nvm, i get it now
Awesome work. is it possible to push the clock down more so the disc doesn't overlap it?

Yeah that'd be pretty easy I'll have something tomorrow.
Thank you so much. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Was more annoyed with the overlapping of the clock than the color, but appreciate both now that they are changed. Great work.
Thanks for doing this kab0b0! Your work is appreciated!
Pics plz.

Is there a way to get this to work with some of the battery percentage mods? I want to run one of the circle battery percentage themes from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793805
and every time I flash your fix for the music player, it reverts back to the plain jane version at the top of the link I provided. And every time I flash the circle version, it gets rid of your mod. Can we not have both?
Edit: NM, I did it myself. I am going to attach the zip file I created here if anyone else is interested, but first a word of caution. I am not a developer and I have no clue if what I did will work on your device or not. Works fine for me though. All I did was replace the PNG files in the OP's framework-res.apk res/drawable-hdpi folder with the ones I extracted from the link I provided above. Seems to work fine for me, but again, no clue what I am doing here.

Each one of these mods is done in the framework. They flash over each other. Samething with a theme. I'll see about incorporating this into my theme

Thanks for this awesome mod is there a way to push the clock down even more or place at the bottom of lockscreen?
Edit: or maybe show me how to change the placement so I can edit it myself thanks
Hi
I'd like a mod for a stock JVS to get just the battery % icon and nothing else.
There are mods with this but with a bunch of things I don't want.
I read some time ago that for getting the % you have to modify some xml files in framework and add some png.
Can someone tell me exactly what this files are?
If anyone has a mod doing just that it will work too.
Thanks a lot!
I would also like to know about this? Is it possible to just get the battery percentage without having to flash a new custom rom?
thanks

Please, take a look at that!
Or, if you wanted you could get super status bar from the market for free. It gives you a new status bar/notifacation bar. It doesn't do anything to your phone because it doesn't require root but its really good. And of course you can customize it so it has battery % in the battery icon.

Did you get it to work mate? I tried to cook up my own and then flash it, but when I rebooted my phone, it kept looping over the Samsung Galaxy S screen (it didn't make it to the boot animation).
I'm using the Crystal theme for CM7 and It's perfect. Only thing I want to add is a battery % of somewhat of the same color. I know I can use the built in CM settings % but I first wanted to try to get an actual icon on there.
Things I've tried:
Speedometer gauge- all that did was reset the theme to stock, although the battery meter did work
Pulling .png's from another similarly colored theme- only ones I could find were TW themes and besides renaming over 100 files, there's no way to drag and drop them over to the CM theme.
Any other tips outside of editing xml files? Which I don't know how to do.
Edit, the UOT kitchen would have worked great if the theme had all 100 battery .png images. oh well.
Just swap out pngs with a theme you like then re-sign the apk. Legend-X is good and I swapped out Bonsai circles in it.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I don't even know how to sign an apk Trying to figure it out now.
Yea, I'm really not good with this stuff until I get it done 1 time. I can't figure it out. Oh well.
Grab Legend-x, or another theme with 100 battery images.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Yea I will. I think that's my only option if I want that color and a very thorough, heavily modified theme.
Google CM7 themes. There is a thread that pops up with 300 themes. You just click on each title to see a screenshot and how to download.

I have about 25 on my phone now. For some reason I like the crystal because it looks a little like the blue glass theme for our epics on 2.2 that I used forever ago. I'm going to use the legend-x though, I think.

Here, use this version and set it to default battery, not percent and you get the circle % mod. It will show as Legend-x in theme changer. Thanks to the Legend-x guy Kevin.

Is there anyway to remove the battery icon from the task bar on top???
i know jugg have the rom control where you can hide it. but since im switching over to a differnt rom i need to know if theres a .zip file that could do that.
im used to using miui battery bar. but i dun need 2 battery icons...
Thanks,
There's a paid app in the market called ROM Toolbox that can change your battery icon. It works with every ROM I've tried so far.
If you want to really customize it and don't mind having something else running on your phone all day you can try Super Statusbar as well, it comes with a built in MIUI bar.
Both come as free versions so you can test them out first.

Some of the icon changer won't work I've noticed you can only change the symbol if it has the symbol in ROM toolbox

I don't know what you mean? How would you have 2 battery icons? You can use uot kitchen and make your own battery
The MIUI battery bar runs horizontally across the top of your screen above your statusbar, so to have a second icon IN the status bar would be redundant in the OP's eyes.

Yea but the OP would have to modify some smali code which isnt very easy.

This worked for me. If you can decompile/compile smali, it's easy to edit.
