Hi everybody, I have installed live wallpaper water or waterize, but I seen that in some videos the users have any backgroud with the same effect of water. Is this a Water configuration live wallpaper or its a method?
How can I set any background with this effect of water?
Thanks for your help.
The paid version of waterize have that feature.
Puddledrops is a prettier alternative but tends to eat a whole bunch of resources.
Must add that it would be nice if people kept this thread going with more suggestions. Love watery wallpapers

You Can add Any Wallpaper
This Seems Bit Funny
But By using the apk manager you can do it
steps
copy the file /system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk to the folder place-apk-here-for-modding
open Script.bat
type 22 and press enter
type the number corresponding to LiveWallpapers.apk and press enter
type 1 to extract files
got to "projects" folder and you will see the LiveWallpapers.apk folder
open it and go to \res\drawable-hdpi
you will see pond.jpg replace the file with any file (960 X 800 resolution)
(delete pond.jpg and rename the new image to pond.jpg)
NOTE : invert the image(rotate it 180 degree)
choose the script.bat again and press 3
then press 1 (system file)
then the new unsignedLiveWallpapers.apk will be available in place-apk-here-for-modding
rename it to LiveWallpapers.apk and move this application to /system/app
Enjoy
Yes Puddledrops is the best free watery wall paper. +1

hey mates,
don't know if you guys did this; but i discovered something useful when i installed phm plus (freeware). once installed to the unit; going to the folder containing the app gives you 2 subfolders with shortcuts. apparently; one of them contains icons for accessing system software; examples of which are bluetooth, the clock, remove programs, memory, and just about everything. so, if you use tdlaunch or something similar which allows you to put icons / shortcuts on the today screen; you can essentially put system shortcut icons. simply use file explorer, go to the folder containing the system shortcut icons (via the phm plus app), copy and paste them on a folder where you have your shortcuts. from there; you can then put the icons on the today screen. for my case; i now have the clock app on my today screen. instead of clicking today-settings-system-clock; i can simply click on the icon on my today screen and the clock app comes up.
hope that helps.
cheers mates

I use the t-mobile default blue home screen. I like it plain and simple except i really want it to show the day of the week, ie monday or tuesday. Is there plugin for that?
*******Note: these are instructions for placing the day of week if you are using WM 6.1 and are using the CHome sliding panels only!!****
although you may also be able to try and place this code in your.xml home file that you are actively using which is located in your /application data/home/ directory if you are not using the sliding panels theme
a line that you can put in your CHome320X240.cpr file.
you'll need to place this line somewhere under <!-- HomeHome==Clock layout templates -->
Code:
<!--Date -->
<Text ID="Day of Week" Left="22" Top="41" Width="110" Height="19"
FontFamily="Segoe Condensed"
FontSize="9" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" HorizontalAlignment="Center"
Trimming="EllipsisCharacter"></Text>
you will want to fiddle with the font sizes, the position aka the left & top numbers. the width, the height, the font family, size and font style to suit your needs. Unless you have an emulator on your PC to test out this code you will just have to make a backup of your CHome_320X240.cpr file located in your windows directory. then take the original and use something like notepad on your PC or phone to type in this code. then save it (making sure that it didnt put a .txt extention on the end of the filename.) and re insert it into your phone. If you don't have CHome refresh, then you will need to reboot your phone to see the changes take effect. after you do this, you may have to go back to the drawing board to make some more changes in your positioning and font size to get it in the correct loaction you want to.
Attached CHomeRefresh place anywhere on phone and run after you have replaced your .cpr on phone will refresh homescreen and stop you having to soft-reset phone all the time.
Thanks, guys. Really appreciate it.

There is no 'easy' answer to that question.
For some highlight elements of Windows Mobile (like the phone dialer or call history, and other system screens) the highlight colour is determined by .tsk files... and registry entries.
Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color and change the values to whatever colour you want. This effects Windows Mobile system colours (including highlights).
You might also need to look at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today and change the colour values for whatever task file you selected to use. (HTC Black.tsk, for example).
The green highlight you see in TF3D is controlled by numerous _manila files.
The clock highlight on the Home Page, for example, is made up of 3 _manila files (1 left edge, 1 right edge, 1 middle tiled image). Another 3 _manila files are used for the call history and calendar highlight. Another 3 _manila files control the higlight on other tabs like Settings, or All Program etc.
The keyboard menu highlight, and the Communication Page highlight are all controlled by simple .png images (as these are accessed outside of TF3D.)
So to change the colour of ALL of the highlights on your phone... you have to change many things. Or install a complete theme made by somebody else (and hope they changed ALL of the images... which isn't always the case).

If you search the forum, you'll probably find 1 or 2 programs that will let you change the wallpaper with a few clicks... but that function is usually built into a program that does many other things too... and you did say that you didn't really want the theme of your phone changed!
However... editing the _manila file isn't that complicated anyway.... you create your image, import it into the manila file, copy that file to your phone... done!
Using a program (as you asked)... you would create your image, copy it to your phone, launch an app on your phone, click change picture, select your image... done.
Those 2 scenarios aren't that different or really any quicker! The only real advantage to using a program... is that you could change the background image while away from your computer. However if you want to keep 20 different wallpapers on your phone that you can select between... simply import those 20 images into 20 of the same _manila file and store them on your phone like "sports_car_4a087e41_manila" & "hot_babe_4a087e41_manila"... then when you want to change your wallpaper to one of them... simply rename whichever file to "4a087e41_manila" and copy it your your Windows directory... done!

Hi Guys,
I have a question...basic one
When i add a "New Folder" on the Home screen, it is empty. Now how do i Add my favourite Apps or games to it????
Not able to find it out.... can someone guide me....
Thanks.
Easy mate, just drag and drop the apps you want on top of the folder. You'll see that the folder icon will "open" and when you drop the shortcut, it's added to the folder. To rename the folder, open it and hold your finger on the title of it for a second or so, btw.

Thanks man...it worked.....
Might I suggest using the app folder organizer.
It's more pretty (nicer icons and customizable) as the default folders
I want to
1. Remove the "Subject" rectangle on top
2. makes line spacing smaller...
Any way to do it ?
or better are there other templates we can install on Note 8 ?
Changed the Title to show it's a question
Thanks for your help/insights
check here, maybe it'll help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290066&highlight=template

There's one additional option - which I have not checked, the folder:
/data/data/com.sec.android.app.snotebook/cache
contains few .snb files (e.g. meeting.snb, memo.snb etc.) which seem to be templates. The files can be unzipped, inside you will find few folders plus xml and jpg files - jpgs are for backgrounds, xmls define layout - maybe a little bit of fiddling with the file and copying it back to that folder could replace the original template.
