How can i know my arc s is international or from a operator?

Hi, I'm using a sony arc s, i bought it from amazon , how can I know it is an international (sim free) version or a lock version (from a operator)?
If it is simlock version, how can i know which operator it belongs to?
I need to know that because I can know when my phone can get update

I can find the page on amazon to help you, but only to be sure - can you post a link to page where you found the phone?

If your phone have
T-mobile startup - is branded to t-mobile
Vip startup - is branded to VIP
Also with sounds, if you have sounds from some network provider it is branded to them.
if your phone have only SE STARTUP - is unlocked and sim free (non branded)

Also you can debrand your phone with flashing it with GENERIC WORLD files

T-Mobile hasn't a different bootanimation, just look for operator specific apps.

I wanna buy a Z1c but atm I found only a carrier branded version. There is a way to debrand? I really hate the branded software. European device.

Which country are you located? If you buy from Sony Mobile there wasn't any carrier and its Unlock. So, no branding at all. It just came with Sony preloaded software.
Otherwise, you could get it here and shipped to you.

Hi, Italy here. The Italians Carrier wil brand devices with the StartUp logo and some bookmarks.

Same issue for me.
I've ordered an Z1 Compact and I got a TIM branded device, now I need to understand if I should ask for a replacement or I can debrand without any risk.

You could flash an unbranded firmware to get rid of any software branding. Just make sure your device doesn't have a SIM lock or similar: dial *#*#7378423#*#* (*#*#service#*#*), then go to Service info, SIM lock.

you can delete brand software when you root z1c

Hi, I just bought my Z1 Compact (and i'm loving it) from a Carrier in Chile named Movistar but I want to flash a ROM that will
Not have the carrier's animation on startup
Let me use Android Kitkat 4.4.4
Not give me compatibility issues with my phone's network
Is there any place where I can find the latest unbranded International ROM for my Z1 Compact so that its up to date, won't mess up the phone, and will let me loose the carrier animation?

Hi,
I have Sony Xperia Z1f SO-02F (Docomo Japan Version).
Can you guys please help me how to root this and I also want to use custom stock ROM of US or UK (the international z1 compact).
I haven't tried rooting any phone before, so I have no idea what to do.
I just have this issue with its docomo software, I wanted to remove those apps that drains the battery as well as the RAM.
Also the annoying R = Roaming mode.

Hi there,
Is it possible to install custom roms available here to the japanese version of the z1 compact?
I have seen a thread that users have been swapping the back panel from the jap version of the phone. I was thinking to ease the hassle of opening it why not buy the japanese one if you have access of getting it.
