I have had the long term problem of the low on space message, despite clearing many things to try clear space, I just can't get the problem to go.
I think the answer is to do a reset of the phone, but can't seem to sync my phone with HTC Sync to backup my contacts, photos, videos and other data that I have.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I could try?

No, sorry. To backup your data I would suggest to this:
- backup&sync your contacts and calendar with google mail
- the rest (photos, videos, music, etc.) is ususally stored an sd card, so copy this content to your computer

Tried the google option, only syncs my emails and won't sync my contacts.
Edit: Spent the last couple of hours playing around with it, seems like I have got it sorted.
Thanks for your help.

Already tried it about 5 times with no luck. I read elsewhere that it's a FB server issue.
Mine worked before I rooted, installed CM6 and then reverted back to stock 1.47 rooted image.
good to know. i spent HOURS trying to figure it out. now i have to reroot my phone becaue i unrooted trying to fix this ****.
I've been having issues with it all day and I'm on an unrooted rom. I deleted my facebook several times and even data wiped my phone trying to get it to work, all with no avail.
I have been going crazy about this also, trying numerous methods I found on Google. None of which worked. The weird part is it pulls my profile info from facebook, but nothing else, is that the same issue you all are having also?
It's definitely an issue on FB side (FB servers). Guys on Crackberry.com are having the same issues. It's not android specific.

yup same here. my profile is there fully.
so everything was working perfectly. But today I had problems with my gmail account, it wasn't synchronizing at all. Of course the problem was that in the accounts & sync settings, they were all off! How the hell that happened? who knows, so I turned them on, it worked normal and now the emails are not in sync again, and it says: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." My question is: Is it just me? or there's actually something wrong with everybody's gmail account?
ohh and one more thing, I'm missing some pictures on my sdcard, I took 4 pictures just now, and when I go to the gallery, they're not showing there, but if I go to the camera, I can look at the pictures, WTH is wrong with my phone today?
Any help will be appreciated,
Thnx
hmm dunno about the gmail problem. mines been good.
as for the gallery maybe try turning off and turning on the phone so it can scan the sd card for the pics can get them to show up. happened to me once or twice with my nexus and that how I got them to show up.
hope that helps and hope your gmail starts working again

As per title & screen shot; haven't yet, in the 1,5 month that I have the phone, been able to sync. And always thought it was a known issue.
Apparently it isn't? Please share the wisdom..
Edit: Solved! See (& thank) post #7.
As stated in another thread, mine works fine... I'll try if I can walk backwards through my Chrome and see if there's something that could've been missed.
But right now, my 4 year old daughter wants explain what Robin Hood is all about

Lycka till! (= good luck)
+1. I havent been able to get it to work either
Right then....
Try, in your Chrome, and open this page:
chrome://settings/syncSetup
(Settings - Personal - Advanced settings for your account)
Check if your bookmarks are set to sync and only passwords are set to be encrypted.... Your phone will give you the error, if there are no bookmarks to sync
edit: *I believe people check the option to encrypt all data, which seems to confuse the phone... ONLY passwords should be encrypted*

This is pretty easy to fix without losing any data.
1) Disable sync in Google Chrome
2) Remove stored sync data in the Google Dashboard: https://www.google.com/dashboard
3) Enable sync in Google Chrome making sure to only encrypt passwords.
4) Disable and enable browsing syncing on the Galaxy Nexus.
Here:

Have no idea if it works, since I haven't had the problem, but maybe it's worth a try?

That's what you need to do. I had to do that when I first got my gnex. Has been working fine every since, even through rom changes, ect.
One thing to note, when you clear the data from the dashboard, it takes a while to finish. so wait before going to the next step.
Step 3: here is where I found the problem! My bookmarks are encrypted! I don´t know how to turn this option off...

Thanks guys, had just found a similar thread on reddit!
And what do you know.. It works!!
I'm still having this problem. Tried all the solutions, but they still won't show up on the phone.

Should I do this on all computers that I'm syncing with or just one would do it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Hi
Having trouble with Gmail since rooting to ARHD.
When I do emails on my PC (e.g. read, delete) the changes are reflected in the Gmail app on the phone. Push notifications are fine too.
But it doesn't work the other way around, i.e. when I mark emails as read or delete them on the phone, the changes never appear anywhere else - so when I log in to PC Gmail it's as if I've never done anything on the phone.
I thought it was do with sync settings, but they are all "on" - and even if I do a manual refresh in the app, nothing happens .
I've done some searches, but nothing I've found quite matches this problem (I could have missed a solution of course!).
Any ideas please, as this seems so simple to solve it's driving me crazy?!
Thanks
Rob

Personally, I would uninstall HTC Sync. The only thing it is good for is installing the drivers IMO. After the drivers are installed, it is best to get rid of Sync. Also, it doesn't play nice with ADB.
Just do your backups in recovery

It can be, sure. Everything it does can be done manually. You can drag and drop all of your media. Contacts, calendar events, and bookmarks are already backed up by Google. You can backup all of your photos privately with Google+ and set it to only back up on wifi.
I think that about covers it. That's about all that HTC Sync does.

One more question, when I go into App Manager, it only gives the option to disable it. But even then, it still starts up when I plug it into my computer.

No. I didn't mean to uninstall it from your phone; though if you were rooted you could; I meant to uninstall it from your PC.
I was trying to help you here and someone else on the VenomROMs site, and got confused. Sorry. When you asking about uninstalling without being rooted, i was thinking you were wondering how to back stuff up.
But anyway, uninstalling it from your PC will make it not auto sync every time you plug it in, obviously.
