I see someone mentioned this case below in another thread. I figured I'd make a quick video of it as well.

That's very similar to the Seidio products.
I looked at these before, they are indeed made by seidio.
Wish I had seen these before I ordered my case on amazon. Best buy is a 6 minute drive. Do they sell the holster separately or no?
I wish someone made a case for that an handle the extended battery.

NO.
but... it kind of does since it adds 1mm thickness to sides. It actually saved my screen once when I dropped my tbolt by accident. Don't ever rely on it though lol.
I have seidio case but it looks exactly the same.
Seidio makes the platinum cases. I like seidio brand mainly due to their replacement policy. Ive used their cases for years. Whenever I had a scuff or damage on the case theyd send me a new one at no charge as long as id send the old one back. Not too sure if this policy applies to the platinum cases tho.

Great case if you have the normal battery.
If you want to use the clip. You just have to get a gell case and cut it to fit the extended battery.
I just got this case and so far am loving it
I found a site which is selling skins for the TB on an extended battery which works with the clip. I use it daily.
http://www.mrcellphoneunlocker.com/V2/products.php?product=TB_EX
Great case. Best Buy sells them cheap too. Had a bundle deal going. Car charger, case w/holster, and a Zagg screen protector for $60.
Have a similar one, its also "pt" branded and is from bestbuy, but seidio does infact make them as stated before.
I have the one with the additional rugged casing. Which is the equivilant to seido's branded "convert" case.
So far I love this case, as soon as my tbolt got its first battle scar in the nude I knew it was time for some heavy duty protection, and my case does that well.
Did a few tests on solid concrete, 2ft drop not a scratch, 3ft drop tiny tiny scuff on a corner, 4 ft drop another tiny scuff on another corner, 5ft drop back skeleton piece got 2 half in. scuff's, 6 foot drop noticeable scuff on the corner it fell on and a smaller scuff on another corner that it hit on the second bounce.
I'm only 6 foot tall and don't see reason to go any higher then that lol.
Screen has a screen protector and there is not a scratch on there. The case does a great job at protecting it.
Not once did the case fall apart or even move out of place at all.
HIGHLY recommend the "convert" case to anyone needing some heavy duty protection, or even just a little since the bottom layer consists of this "surface" case.
10/10
I bought this case/holster the day after I bought my Tbolt and I absolutely love it. Worth every penny. I also HATE having my phone in my pocket so this was a win win.
Anyone have any experience with these Power-Skin cases.
Was wondering if it had a built in screen protector like an otterbox does, and how well it actually works. Looks like a good case, but was hoping someone could give some actual feedback before shelling out the 50 bucks for one.
Thanks

I just ordered one. I got $5 off by using the code POWERUP2
initial review
I just received the Powerskin. I ordered from Amazon and got it today.
When it is done charging and I have used it for 24+ hours, I will post some results on battery life.
It is nicely designed, but it is bulky. I have large hands, and it feels big in them. It feels much larger than the HTC extended battery.
The case is a smooth rubber silicone. The bolt's power button is covered but completely recessed. It is not difficult to press, but is difficult to locate blind. Poor design here.
I took some pictures and there is no shadowing effect from the case.
There are two ports on either end where the kickstand is. I assume this is for sound to escape. There was a noticeable drop-off in volume when the bolt was in the case. If you use the loudspeaker often, this might be an issue.
I immediately missed the kickstand, as I use it often.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Yes
Definitely. I will post some pics tonight.
Thanks for the pics and the results docabe. I just got mine in and it is seriously too bulky for daily use.

Here is the first set. I am comparing the powerskin to the Ringke case and the Verizon extended case
2
Second set with the bolt in the case.
i just bought one got it today, and its really nice, but its really big. so if your going out for a night, you dont need it, but a full work day or travel, def recommend it.
Sweet Jesus that's a monster

Yeah.....it's ultra bulky. Its way to big for regular use. I was definitely disappointed with the size of it.
Oh hell no that's too bulky. For that bulkiness just get the 4500mAh battery. Just cost a little more. Extended battery is good enough
Sent from my SICKLY INFECTED VirusBolt Synergy 3.0 using XDA Premium App
After 3 days of use, I can say the battery life is good, but equivalent to the HTC extended battery.
It is going back. I will stick with the extended battery.
I agree. I like the convenience of being able to take it off if I want to just carry the slim phone. But it's not worth the fact that the skin makes the phone look and feel huge. I'll deal with having to keep around the spare battery and cover if I want to swap out for the thinner phone.
I'm going to pull the trigger on a 3200 battery soon and I'd like to know if there's been an update to cases that fit with extended battery? I have dropped my baby a few times so I'd like to keep it nice and protected.
On my iPhone 4 I had a Griffin Survivor and damn that thing was a beast. I felt like I could beat criminals to death with my iPhone and it still wouldn't overheat or shut down. I wish we had a case like that, as the OtterBox Defenders just aren't as good as they were back in the iPhone 3GS days.
Thoughts?
i havent tried any of the hard cases but ended up getting a silicone case off of amazon for $12.99. its at least mow protected from scratches and wont slide around in my car while im driving. the downside to it though is that it feels like theres a small pocket of air in back where the extended battery is and the silicone wasnt cut properly where the kickstand is so its a bit hard to open/close the kickstand.
Seidio sells an extended battery case. Don't have the link right now as I'm on my phone but its sharp. Probably going to be picking one up soon.

Seidio active case works very well and adds limited bulk. Four stars from me (lack of color options is the only thing that keeps it from getting five stars)

Seidio surface extended looks nice as well. They are about 20 bucks on ebay
those Seidio cases are hard cases right?...
i've been reluctant to get a hard case because i've had issues with them scratching the phone.
used them on my old HD2 and iphone and both times the cases scratched the phones.
that and how about anti-slip?... i like silicone cases because when i'm driving the phone will stay in place when i hit the brake.

I read the description for this product and it does not say it will fit with the extended battery. Are you saying it will?
thinking about getting a metal bumper cuz it cheap, but will there be a sign on signal drop. like noticeable drop. Seller say that case is made out of aircraft grade anodized aluminium, so it should be super good with advance technology

I stay away from metal bumper or back cover. NFC don't work and drop of signals ...
I have that bumper in blue. It's not super-high-quality and I have to disagree with whatever you mean by "should be good with advance technology" - there's really nothing that would suggest that that I can tell.
Haven't really noticed any signal drop.
Couldn't get Google Wallet to work today, but going to trouble-shoot to see if it's somehow the bumpers (they only cover the sides, so not sure why it would be them) or something else. A metal back will certainly block NFC. I'm not really sure how just bumpers would if the NFC is in the battery - maybe there's something else to it, I'll have to find out.
I have one and nfc works with it and signal is noticeably worse. Its one signal bar lower with the case on, or no signal at all in low signal areas. I do not recommend it, I am returning my charcoal one and ordered a spigen rubber one.
Thats just muly experience with it though. Wifi is also affected.

Do not mention Draco or any other ridiculously priced bumper please. $80 is way too much for a case.
With that said are there any good aluminum bumpers out for this phone yet? I haven't been able to find any

I feel an aluminum bumper on this phone will preserve the look and feel of thr all aluminum phone while still adding some protection
How is the reception with the bumper on? Is it made out of actual metal? Isn't the whole point of the plastic sides are for reception issues since aluminum causes reception issues?

Thread cleaned
I deleted about 15 posts about that draco bumper and other things as off-topic.
Seriously guys, the OP asked explicitely to NOT discuss that bumper. And also he didn't ask for pouches.
So either ask his question or stay off this thread. The next one not keeping to this rule will face consequences.
Cheers

Bad experiences for me
I've not tried an aluminum casing on the One but from previous experience, putting an aluminum bumper on my cell phone turned the GPS completely useless. I could never use Navigon while my gorgeous aluminum case was on the thing (granted, it was an iPhone ).

Ive always had issues with aluminim bumpers and reception as well.. this phone might change that though seeing as how the phone is aluminium to begin with. I think it might work really well.
Also..thank you for the cleanup

Well, don't forget the plastic strips on side and back. One reason for them being there is avoiding reception problems a full aluminium body would provide. So with alu bumpers you could probably close that "reception gaps" and therefore get in reception trouble. But that's a guess on my side.
Doh!!!

You are absolutely correct. The fact that the HTC One is all aluminum completely went over my head! :silly:
So yeah, I guess an aluminum case might not be so bad on the One. I'll be interested in finding out.
Also, I tried to give you a "thanks" instead of this reply but I was told that I'm limited to 8 thanks a day (WTH!?).
Well the thread says to not mention the Draco case, but I will as I can confirm the aluminum does not hinder cell or GPS reception to an unusable state. Other aluminum bumpers in the future will most likely show similar effects.

W/o: -88 to -92 dbm
With: -90 to -95 dbm
I wish someone would start to make them
Bumper or regular aluminium case would be awesome I wish some company would do make one

Thank you... responses like this are perfectly acceptable as they pertain to aluminium bumpers in general.. you just so happened to test that with a case that costs almost as much as the insurance deductible.

Off topic!!!! Talking about iPhones....lets ban this dude. lol Jk.
I think having an aluminum bumper would help dissipate heat, like a heat sink or something.
Whoops responded to a wrong quote.
Although I don't think it would affect GPS.

Hi,
I found an aluminium case here:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=171032934102
It is not a bumper though.
I dream of an aluminium bumper for 30 bucks but it probably never gonna happen.
I don't know if i should get the draco design bumper in black or red
I know it's blasphemy but all three of these cases would be great. I for one would love to see a nice screw together machined aluminum case.
And, before you call and ask the company who makes the case I posted back and front pictures of..... it is over 200 dollars. It is called Black Ops. It does look cool though.
I think the issue with aluminum cases for the HTC one would be difficult because all the edges are slanted towards the screen. If you look at the poetic atmosphere case for an example, in order to be able to press the buttons, they made the case slant towards the screen as well. With aluminum, getting the perfect matching slant could be a problem. I guess an aluminum case that was straight without any slants towards the screen but inside had padding to match the slant could be achieve but that would alter the original ergonomic design of the HTC One's slanted edges concept. Just my 2 cents
