Just wanted to know how to wipe battery stats on stock 2.3.3 or if you can just got a new extended battery
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
You need a recovery [root] to wipe battery stats. The best you can do is charge it to 100%, let it fully die so that it manually turns off, then charge it back to 100%.
Thanks will +1 when I get to desktop

Any way to check the batteries capacity w/o root

I'm jw because I just went through the hole battery calibration thing and now I want to flash another ROM when I backup will I have to do this all over again when I restore it?

I think it stays in the backup file.
Yes you do.

Thanks yeah I figured I would I didn't think it backed them up I was just hoping.

Is there a limit on how many times we can do the battery calibration?
So I have unbricked my phone and have flashed cm9 and fullthrottle now I'm on the official ics from att. My phone has been dying quickly. I checked my battery stats and seen android OS in my number 2 spot. Today I unplugged my phone and didn't use it for two hrs and it went down 5% I checked and android os stayed away 1 hr and 53 mins.

Same thing on my end. LG really screwed this up.

You need to install the better battery stats app and see which app is giving you wake locks.

Yep, install better battery stat, it's even free for XDA member, search the app forum.

Also, there's a thread called "known identified battery drainers" in the ATT GS2/I777 forums that has some good, universal stuff on interpreting wakelocks.
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
any luck solving this?
I tried flashing this from 3 times wiping everything and still get the android os taking most of my battery. I tried better battery stats but can really interpret it. I don't have facebook link or instagram. I'll post pics of better battery stats.

I'd suggest disabling stock apps you don't need, I guess. Most people seem to think the battery life on that ROM is decent.
I always disable the att apps that come with the stock from. I get about 10 hrs on medium use with the extended battery. If this was fixed then I would get way more
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
same issue
I never even thought to check into that as I have also had bad battery life, but figured it was just the nitro. New to rooting LG's as I had samsungs before. I am having the same exact issue running OH!NO! Full Throttle 7.1 and never realized it.. Is it just settings that are not allowing it to sleep?
I have no clue but there is something that is keeping the phone awake and not letting gp to sleep which is really hurting the battery life
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
i definitely recommend getting juice defender. it made a HUGE difference in my battery life.
I tried it but it didn't help much just turned off the data. The only thing that really helped was to go into app settings and disable android and it has helped some
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
I have the same issue. Android OS is (or was) the best battery killer. AT&T support person told me to do factory reset AND DO NOT INSTALL any app that are not preinstalled. I have to install them later one by one to find one incompatible with ICS.
After reset operation (happened 2 hours before) I have now Screen as the best battery killer Battery went from 77% down to 62% with some browsing and preinstalled apps update. It looks promising...
Is anyone having battery issues with the update I didn't wait for mine and flashed it about a week or so before I was due for the update and my phone turns off when the battery is around 15 or 20 percent. The sprint animation doesn't come up it just dies and then I can't turn it back on while unless I plug it in and the white battery symbol shows up then I have to wait like 20 minutes to turn it in and it will turn on with about 3 to 5 percent battery. Does anyone know what's up or if this is normal with this phone.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Doesn't sound normal to me. I've run mine down to 5% before on stock. Bad battery perhaps?
I'm not sure on the battery settings it says it has good health status so I'm not sure...
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
If I were you try these few things.
Make sure the charger is working correctly.
See if there is an app killing the battery.
Try and see if the stock power save mode helps.
Try clearing the cache and rebooting.
And if all else fails do a clean install on LGNPST. This usually fixes most issues.

I have prolem that phone discharges normaly from 100% to some 70% and then rapidly discharges from 70% to zero. Batt graf shows vertical discharge.
Similar thing when charging. It charges to some 30% for an hour and than from 30% to 100% in a minute.
I have read tons of threads, did batt cal, delete batt stats when bat was 100% and when batt was 0 % few times, did s-off, change bootloader, tried few roms. Always the same.
Is this behaviour because batt is dead? I dont have spare batt so before ordering new one I want to ask did somebody experience similar situation?
Thanks.

upload the graph, how old is the battery?
You can try another ROM and look if the problem persists though I guess that's not a problem of any ROM... I think it's the battery.

I will try to upload graph. I have screenshot of charging graph but I must dischage battery again and take screenshot because there is no discharging graph after wiping bat stats.
P.S. I have also try to charge while on, then turn it off, charge again etc. I found some manual.

I don't know it this is just happening to me but since recent official upgrade to 4.1.2 my battery consumption has gone way up. I went to bed last night with my phone at 100% , I wake up this morning with phone at about 60% the phone wasn't used at all and I will add it was in"power saving mode" . Any help would be great

If you just upgraded then factory wipe might be needed.

In this case, I would highly recommend using Better Battery Stats to help find the culprit.

As the gentleman pointed out use "Better Battery stats" app.

Better Battery Stats is an app. You can find it in the XDA forums and install it. You can also find it on the play store for a small fee which helps support the dev.
