is anyone having a problem with having you 4g on and then turning on the hotspot for sprint and then it kicks you off of the 4g or tell me why this is happing
I think the hotspot hack only works with 3g. You would have to get "wireless tether for root users" if you want to have a hotspot and get 4g speeds.
I had some trouble with Sprint HotSpot turning off when when using I was on MikFroyo 4.5 using 3g. I also tried Wireless Tether, which wouldn't work at all. Have you tried using MikFroyo 4.4? I just switched back to a different ROM because at the time I wasn't around a WiFi connection.

no i haven't tried 4.4 yet but i thinking about it soon ill let you know if it works or not!!
I like Ava and King's for when I have to use Wireless Tether. Right now I'm on Fresh because I'm helping with some testing.

I've been on that rom for a few days, and 4g has been solid. Did you make sure your rsa keys are in tact? Download rsa key checker, from the market, to check

I checked the rsa and it said that its present.

Some people have issues connecting to it inside vs outside. Not running wifi at the same time?
I havent been running wifi. Should i be?
No, keep it off when running 4G. Are you using a wimax enabled kernel?
Im not sure but i think the rom came with wimax enabled kernal.
I have flashed many roms...i just recently flashed cm7 in hopes of 4g usb tethering...which doesnt work and the gps doesn't lock onto my location. Any suggestions?

I am running the latest decked gingerbread with the lee kernel and when ever i try to use wifi tether it doesn't start correctly and it also craps out my wifi and the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. Any help is much appreciated.
It comes with a built in hotspot

The built in seems to work but as soon as i try to use a wifi app everything craps out.
I just upgraded from the Eris to dinc2 yesterday, rooted and am running twisted Rom, but I can't get wireless tether to work, the comp will connect, but sometimes it says limited connectivity and won't load anything, I've only come across a couple people asking about this, but no solution, so I'm posting to see what answers I get.
I need wireless so I can put my phone in a different room for better signal...
What are you using for tethering?
I use Barnacle Wifi Tether and have no problem.
I tried barnacle and the wireless tether and neither worked for me. I wouldn't think it'd be a Rom issue since the comp connects
I tried a different roms and the only one that work tethering is the skyrider rom 3000..,
Try an older version of wireless tether.
I had the same problem until I changed to a older version. Now works great.
Or you can try to download the latest version of android wifi tether and enable clamping and routing fix.
This solution has worked with every ROM I have used.

I prefer miui over any sense rom why? Well is very snappy plus you can customize it in ways you can't do a sense rom, plus miui has a million themes you can choose from and miui has a very nice polished look and you still get some what of the 3d effects plus a few more options to scroll your home screen that no sense rom has. Also wifi hotspots and tethering are built in no need for an app to use it

Check it out here scroll down to the inc2 build

I wanna see them do a vertical scroll transition so you swipe up and down instead of side to side. I'd love to see something different again. Something to keep surprising me.

I like GoLauncher with the transition effect set to random. It's the little things.
I use the wireless tether that is in the settings in CM7, and sometimes, when I connect with a computer to its wifi signal, I get "Low signal/no connectivity" when my phone is right next to the computer. I've found that turning the wireless tether on and off a few times fixes this.

Turns out it was just the ROM I was using, the TwistedSense v1.0.1 wasn't lettin me tether, I'm runnin the TSMGingerBlissMede 0.1 now, pretty nice ROM, but super laggy on screen touch response...probably gonna try somethin else today, I like the lockscreen though, I'm new to the inc2, coming from the eris, so I guess that's just a 3.0 lockscreen huh?
So far all AOSP Roms have worked for me. I tether on CM7 instead of using my disgusting campus WIFI lol
