As the title says my Arc hangs up and reboots after around 90 hours uptime. Sometimes a bit before or after the 90 hours.
Mostly it gets slow before and sometimes I have FCs.
Could it be running out of free RAM?
I just want to know if it's normal or not.
I'm using 2.3.3 .146 stock, just rooted.
Anyone?

well i'm no pro but i have 300-400hrs up time regularly. I'm one of those people who has problems keeping the memory usage down without using tweaks. I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189923 to keep my ram at 60-100mb and use a cache cleaner to clear memory every 4hrs. Some people have 180mb free constantly but I dont see that happening for myself, so I have to take some measures to keep my device flying. Maybe someone else with more experience can chime in.
The latest update fixed the issue for me I think.
Got the highest uptime my Arc ever had - 132 hours, and it still runs fine

I know this has probably been answered somewhere before but I couldn't find a good answer. I have lost 10% battery in an hour and a half with no use other than stand by. Any tweaks within the Cyanogen settings I can make to help at all?

Did you add any kind of task killer on your phone to prevent things from running in the background all the time?
I have advanced task killer but its just an app. Its not running all the time.

And I let my battery drain all the way to 0 and charged fully from scratch with it off. It lost about 20 in an hour add opposed to 10 today.

You can set it to auto-kill. I'm actually kinda surprised you're having a lot of battery problems with RC3 though, you may just need to wait a few days for everything to stable out. When we get new ROMs we like to play with them a lot and drain the battery! I would also suggest using auto-brightness to prevent excessive screen power usage.

That's not normal for idle at all. Is the battery old and just wearing out? if it's fairly fresh (< 1 year) then it should be fine. Try betterbattery stats to see if the phone is keeping wakelocks and also CPU spy will let you know if your phone is reaching the deep sleep state.
I have the brightness not on auto because it was picking up the light right, but it's turned down pretty low. I'm about to post the results of the battery info, and those 2 apps... They're in the below zip folder...
I unplugged my phone about a half hour ago and have been using it a decent amount. Went from 100 to 80 in that time.

the first ~10-20% is not always that accurate.
I don't know that drain just kills me lol.

Today was 11 % in 5 minutes. This I'd crazy.

Hi everyone,
I got my Nexus 7, so I thought I could ease on the HOX a bit, but I found that something is still running rampant in the backgroundm but I can't find what it is, even using GSam Battery Monitor. Screen has only been on for 25 minutes, and already at 43%!
I used the HOX as mobile hotspot this morning in the train, when I arrived at work, it had 80% left. Rest of the day I only used it for the occasional whatsapp. It's not even closing time for work now, and it's close to 40%, so something is eating the battery, but I can;t find what!
See enclosed screenshots, I would love to hear some advice!
Kernel, but who knows why?
Also, your crappy mobile signal on the way to work when you had no WiFi... It didn't like that much.
yeah I can get into that, but I don't get why, at the last part, the screen isn't turned on, but it the kernel is switched on ALL the time, I guess something must be running rampant in the background. I've just started going to apps and force stopping a lot of things to be sure...
Try using watchdog, it tells you which app which above threshold, gsam never tells u what the kernel was upto. U can also try better battery stats and check kernel wake locks.
ViperX Goodness
Thanks, I hadn't heard of watchdog yet, installed it! I will buy better battery stats when things get really out of hand

better battery stats is available for free at XDA for members only.
Search and you will find it.
btw which rom and kernel??
Are you using a career branded phone. Change the radio. Problem solved

I use everything stock, and my HOX is unbranded

Does your freq stay always at 1500? Check it via setcpu or CPU tweaker. Check the time of state.

try the "go power" app, it helps. always recommend it to my friends
wow ur batt drain seems to be bad...is unrooted?
Well I updated because I was thinking it was going to save some battery life, maybe a bit fast (Lets be honest, I may of had a little chubby thinking it was jelly bean, blah so disappointed)
Anyhoo the 2 days that I have had the update Iv noticed worse battery life and for the first little bit it was LAAAGGYY. I called 2 of my other buddies who advised that they did not notice anything laggy but did notice battery life was way worse.
Anyone else?
Brad
Brutal battery life over here.

No complaints thus far. All bloatware removed and unnecessary widgets frozen using TB.

I guess I shoulda been more specific. So before the update I was getting a full 13+ hours with normal use. Now I will be lucky to get 8 hours. I actually had to buy a usb charger...I never owned one before this.
I could try rooting, removing and stopping some programs to see if that helps, it's just weird how I lost that much batt. I wonder what changed.

use can freeze most apps without root/TB in the app manager in settings. Just click the app force stop and freeze. Some may need to have the update uninstalled before freeze options shows up.
Yeah, my battery life is much worse now, need to charge everyday rather than every 1.5 days..
I do notice lag as well. Need to clear my recent apps much more frequently.
Seriously, for me, the only advantage for updating was enabling the Allshare Cast option..

Lately I've noticed my battery life draining fast. So when I check my RAM usage its always around 1 GB at any given time. Is something wrong here? Ive removed most bloatware apps, I have no Widgets running and maybe 5 apps I downloaded. Nor am I running any live wallpaper. Just seems like a lot of RAM for not doing much with my phone..

I went out tonight to see If I could see and hear meteorites however it was cold. Infact freezing 0C. I took my phone out and noticed it was 22C. So thought I would share and start a thread on the lowest temp your cpu has been.
Had it down to 11celsius, lol
Stopped it before it froze

Jeez louise. How did you get that?
Cold outside. Had it sitting on the fence for 3min.
And than I chickened out

Had it down to 20 Celsius before, after I woke up. Seemed to run slightly smoother on me, or maybe it was a placebo effect?
