hello Dinc 2 forums - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hey everyone!
I just got a Droid Incredible 2 as a replacement for problems with my Samsung Fascinate (and just in time thank god). So far I must say I already love this phone 10000000000000000000000 times better than the Fascinate and I've only tinkered with it for a couple hours so far. I can't wait to see what kind of stuff I can do with it now!!!!

If it has gingerbread absolutely nothing for the time being.

Welcome to the Droid Incredible 2 my friend. Hope you enjoy the phone as much as I do. I wanna suggest this case as I just got it and love it.

cheap, protective, and the power buttons cut out so you can actually press it with ease. Enjoy!

I actually like the Hybrid Aquaflex case better. I like the hard/tpu material. Makes me feel safe. AND the power button is easier to press while covered. Except the Volume buttons. They're a little hard to find.

Razer or the Prime

I'm due for a upgrade and I'm having a hard time deciding on which phone I want. I haven't heard much talk on the razer but I do love the way it looks and feels over the prime. But the prime is
Unlocked. Man I hate decisions

Well you do get a better screen with the nexus. I posted a summary of my nexus experience on the rezound or galaxy nexus thread.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Oh ok. I'm trying to stay away from the rezound just because it looks similar to the dinc. Lol. Trying a different look. I love everything about the razer better but the nexus will be huge in development. Lol. I'm just not sure about the internal battery in the razor. Lol.

Nexus, if your into dev. stuff and rooting its a way better choice than the RAZR.

That's definitely what your going to want to get (Nexus), Motorola devices usually have low activity development, go take a look at the RAZR forums for meh.

Hmm, this is a biggie for me and probably most people on this site.
The big downer on the nexus is no sd card slot.
Any guess on how much dev will be going on for the Rezound?

Virtually nothing until they can get the bootloader unlocked. When that happens NilsP will be busy.
Only thing that concerns me is if the razr freezes or bootloops. U can't just pull the battery.

Well though Samsung Prime Nexus looks good the benefits of the Motorola Razr lure me.
Was told that the`Razr with Ice Cream software will be available in January 12.
The Razr can be plugged into a docking station and a keyboard and screen can be attached so it can be used like a notebook. There is also a self contained docking station complete with keyboard and screen.
Id be worried about no battery pull possibility. Also with such a thin phone it would be nice to upgrade the battery and back cover and still have a pretty thin device. Tons of bezel on the Razr too so its bigger than it needs to be. Only thing I like is built in access to home computer files...
there is a bigger battery version of the Razr coming soon....maybe removable battery on that. Still, i dislike Motorola.

Yeah I never had a Motorola phone but man this razr looks tempting lol. This is a tough decisions for me. Lol. I like the razr size better than the nexus because I have small hands. Lol. But like I said I like the nexus for the development.

My Father has the Droid 2 Global stock. It's cool and all but the UI of Motorola is just not as cool as Android or Sense.
I'm all for slim phones, been waiting till Americans could make some for our market..but no removable battery = fail. And i have slender hands...try out the Nexus at the store, I'm sure your hand will be fine operating the phone....i for one, was a bit wrong, i can use it w/ one hand, kind of~
Now if only stupid America can sell slim 7-9mm thick smartphones that are water proof/water resistant w/ a 10mp+ camera + good lens

Probably hold down the power button until it resets. They would have to have a hard reset on a device. That is how my tablet works.

Here are some new pics. Yes it has 4 on the back when you press the on/off switch they only stay on briefly- which is good as who really wants lights on all the time and of course when you are charging it they are on. Looks really nice with the Matte finish, really happy with it.

Note 2 coming to 5 big boys in november

Anyone care? I will be sticking to the GS3 because the size is just where I like it anything biger would probably be too much...
http://www.phonedog.com/2012/09/19/...rriving-on-five-u-s-carriers-by-mid-november/
EDIT: I just read it will have a 1.6ghz Qua core Exynos CPU... I may very well want that in my life!
Can't wait until November, loved the original Note....might be leaving sprint to get it if they don't roll out lte in NY by then.

Take it from me you'll get use to it fairly easy, and whoever said they couldn't fit a note in their pocket is lying, I normally wear skinny jeans and never had a issue with the original note. Only thing I will say is that it will look fairly ridiculous holding it up to your ear to talk, but I've never been one to worry about what people say or think, and I got plenty of compliments about the phone on a daily basis while commuting in the city.

i never even held the original note, but i dont mind the bigger size at all... the more the better to me, and with those specs, wooooo...
might have to hold onto one in the store before deciding what to do...
One thing I'm looking forward to is the stylus, I haven't had one since the touch pro 2, I liked it a lot. Less fingerprints, but I don't like how it's on the Bottom? why would they make it come out of the bottom, it's going to wear out and simply fall out eventually... kinda stupid but whatever...

Home button little lose?

Does anyone else's home button seem loose after using it for a while? Mine rattles slightly when touching it. I'm not sure if that's just the way it is or if it has come lose. I can't seem to find the way the home button is put together in the inside as there's not too many tear down pics on the net that even show it. Just debating if this will be an issue down the road and needs to be returned before my 14 days are up.
Thanks

Yes, I'm pretty anal about babying my phones. I'm not sure like I said if it should have a little rattle like that or if mine has a slight defect. I'm not wanting to exchange it, but, for what I paid for this phone I just don't want problems later on and have to deal with getting refurbs from assuron! That's why I was asking here to see if it's pretty much the norm. Thanks for the reply.

I bought mine around noon the day they came out, my button is still completely firm. Not sure how much relative abuse it has taken though. Seems pretty weird to me that it could be rattling, as it feels like it is a pretty solid fit. But maybe we will all be complaining about this soon enough.

Sigh... that's just the cheap build quality of the Galaxy S3. It's just a minor annoyance when I used my S3. I just got my S4 and let me tell you the buttons are much sturdier and better integrated. The back though, still feels rather cheap and flimsy. The S4 feels much, much, much lighter in the hand than the S3, like a feather.
