Swype screen protector

Theres probably another post about this, but can anyone recommend a good screen protector that you can still use swype on?

The ones sold by ATT for 10$ are the best I have used thus far. Every other screen protector I tried is just sticky plastic film.

Really? The only one I had was from AT&T store, and I hated it.

To each his own then. I love the ones they sell, maybe you bought one from the ATT store that was a different brand. The ones I am talking about are these

They do not affect the touch screen at all in my experience.

I have always used the InvisibleShield from Zagg, on all of my previous phones, and that's what i got for my Captivate, and I love it, I use swype the majority of the time I text, and it doesn't bother me. I'm used to the texture though

Meh. The screen itself is pretty durable. I've been using mine without a protector for about a month now, and not a single scratch. Not even when I forget which pocket it's in, and drop my car keys right on top of it.

Bestbuy has some and will even install for you... But believe they are over priced

Agreed. Smooth as butter.

I have tried a few screen protectors (even one from the local flea market) and they have all been good with Swype.

Hands down all my devices get realook

Hi I recently got my verizon galaxy nexus, and really don't like cases but I would like your personal opinions on screen protectors( witch brands or models you like or dislike) lastly what do you prefer wet or dry install?

This is getting ridiculous. You really should search a little. There is like 50 of them in the accessories and in general. But the cheap eBay ones are fine and feel better then zagg or xo and don't have the Orange peel effect. Do not get the Verizon ones unless you can't wait. The screen will scratch easier then gorilla glass phones. I know from experience.

actually the verizon screen protectors are not that bad....I have one on my nexus and there is not a single scratch on it...it is non tacky and feels smooth ......and I have had it on from Dec 2011 until today...check out the pics.....

I have it on as well. The clear ones and it is good but also has a orange peel look to it.

XO is a very good and popular screen protector.

Try the realook screen protectors. I just received them yesterday and they're great.

Realook would be my first choice if I wanted to splurge for the perfect fit/cutout. Haven't actually tried it for the Galaxy Nexus but it was THE BEST screen protector I'd used for my Galaxy S II.
Aduro MEMBRANE would be a very close second for cheapest and best bang for your buck. Plus you get 3x!

You must not have waited for it to dry. I have been using XO Skins for a long time. I value quality over quantity ever time.

I'm 100% sure you didn't wait long enough for it to dry.
It should appear as if there's no protector at all. The texture is slightly less smooth than naked screen but it's nowhere near rubbery.

The Aduro's are pretty decent but I find the adhesive to be extremely inconsistent.

depends on how u carry your phone..
in pouch... no screen protector or case
in hand... case with anti slip
in pocket.. screen protector and or case

Zagg HD and the Note 2

I installed the Zagg HD screen protector on my new Note 2 yesterday, and I will tell you it should not have been cleared for use with the Note 2. It is so soft that it feels like it's ribbed from using swype with the S-Pen... and I don't press hard at all. What's worse, it's effecting the accuracy of the S-Pen itself, as I find I need to press harder. I would not recommend this screen protector for use with our amazing device. Really looking like I might have to go naked unless I can find a very S-Pen friendly protector!

Best Buy Mobile offered to exchange the protector for me and install it tomorrow, an offer which I am going to accept and deal with until I find the best alternative.

I have the extreme guard $4 body and screen. Everything works flawless.

I just bought a 2 dollar splastic screen guard for the time being until SGP releases their glass protector for the phone... the plastic screen goes well with the s pen... I have the flip cover so no scratches on my end

I made the mistake of believing the saleslady at Best Buy Mobile that the new Zagg HD was just fine with the S-Pen... first mistake. I have a Rearth screen protector waiting for me at home once I return from this business trip... but ya, I am looking forward to the upcoming Glas protector as well. Any word on it's release date?

I was on the same boat I bought the rubber screen.. shouldve posted a warning but got lazy :/
And I asked sgp and all they said so far was that it was a wip... and blah blahs
The glass protector is the best doe cause it feels as it were naked <3
But ill make a thread when I hear about the protector

Using an SGP Oleophobic and it works really well with the SPen.

I'm using the zagg smudge proof protector from best buy and it is not rubbery, doesn't dent or scratch and is true full screen. So far I'm extremely happy with it. Your fingers slide across the screen better with it than naked also there's no orange peel effect either.
If anyone is interested IMHO this is the best zagg to put on.

ya Ihad the same problem with skinomi skin Left indents I feel like it shouldn't have been allowed for the note 2

I don't see a smudge proof version on the zagg website, do you have a link? Just checked out Best Buy tonight, they didn't have any either.

Yes, I'll find it and post back. It's the best screen protector I've used, and I normally don't like zagg for the orange peel and rubbery feeling.

lost towards screen protectors.

Hey wassup. before you start ranting yes I know there is another Screen protector forum. But i see its only about one product at a time. But I am lost of how there are new companies building up, comparing to old but great companies like Zagg. I used Zagg before On my iphone before and it was great. but after my galaxy s3, wanted to use the same product. but seeing how i see these protectors who are more clearer, smoother, and some that are tempered glass!. I started using SPG steinhill ultra crystal. and it was great. but I want to know is there any better that that? or what i am using is great enough? please help me out.

The best ive heard of so far is the sgp nano clear.

DBA does not feel like a screen protector is on the phone at all. There is also no distortion of the screen at all. It it like having an extremely tough piece of clear glass over the phone without you knowing it.

screen protector (zagg or ...)

I'm trying to do some research for a screen protection, back in a days I bought my INCIPIO case that came w/ screen protector and it was sort of settled I figured no need to get another one since this one came w/ it, well after a while (ab)using it I think it's time))
so I'm thinking to get ZAGG, but I want to get some of other people's opinion on that or maybe better option out there..
please advise

I just got my XO Skins screen protector, absolutely the best, it is crystal clear, you don't even realize a screen protector is there.
It also does not affect the feel of the screen, glides across easily.

I have a ZAGG. Meh. If they didn't replace it at the mall kiosk for $5 everytime I wanted I'd be less happy with it. You can definitely tell it's there.

Get a GhostArmour screen protector, a thousand times better then the Zagg.

I used Zagg on my HTC Incredible and it protected it just fine, but it wasn't as clear and smooth as some of the other brands mentioned here. If you choose to go with Zagg though, make sure you buy it online and avoid paying $20+ at some chain retailers.
The lifetime warranty is what keeps me coming back though.

+ 1000 for this! I have ghost armour on my galaxy nexus and nexus 10. Can't beat the lifetime warranty and replacement! Once it's on and cured, it's like nothing is there.

Zagg has a disgusting orange peel effect and its a ***** to clean, since it is so rubbery you need water to effectively clean it. That's been my experience and the reason I switched to ghost armor.

I'm still not clear on which screen protector to get... amazon has xo skin and few others but i couldn't find GhostArmour there. I prefer to get a hard screen protector ( i think it's better so I can reapply it if needed ), clear is a must (no tint) and w/ warranty.

I got the zagg for my nexus and I'm not too pleased with it. You can see it and my finger doesn't glide across smoothly. currently looking for another one that's more clear

I have the XO Skins and have to say its really good. I have had it replaced a few times because the oils build up and they are pretty good about replacements. It used to be better as they wouldn't require you to purchase it and then they will refund it but such is life. I would defiantly recommend it.
