Any time I quote a message, Firefox will crash, and recently just viewing the site will cause a crash. I'm on the latest version, and this doesn't happen with any other vBulletin forum. Anyone else?

I am running CM 7.1 RC1 (I believe that is the one).
I am having an issue with texting that is driving me nuts. Whenever I receive a text that is 2 pages long, it will send the first text and then split the second one up into two separate messages, even though they don't fill the character limit.
Basically it's like this..
0001/0003: Text page 1..blah blah..
0002/0003: Text pa
0003/0003: ge 2.. blah blah..
Make sense? It's annoying as hell, and I'm not sure what's causing it. There are also those obnoxious numbers before the messages as well. Occasionally it will receive them like it's supposed to, but most of the time it splits the second page. Regardless of if it splits the second page, it always has those damn 0001/0002 numbers beside the next. It used to be (1/2) and such.
I flashed an HTC Sense ROM and updated my PRL thinking that was it, and it didn't seem to help. I'm thinking I missed something really simple, but I don't know what it is or where it is.

PS: It happens on other ROMs too, so I'm not thinking it's something strictly with CM.

It's nothing that is going to stop me from using my phone, but it is pretty damn annoying.. That is for sure.
Never had that problem. Received a 15 page message this morning with no message splitting.

This happens about many times a day when I choose a contact from my past messages it opens a totally different contact that may or may not have been visible in the list. Also occasionally when i am typing it double types part of the word so if I type "really" it might be "reareally". Anyone else get this?
Which ROM? Have you tried using an alternative app?
I am using stock 2.3.3. I just downloaded handcent and it seems to work good so far. Its no big deal , just curious.
I had that issues with the stock ROM as well. I use Handcent as well and don't have that issue.
That said, it appears to be an issue on the Thunderbold too. Apparently Verizon and HTC are aware about it, according to what my VZW rep has told me.

that is a problem with android, not HTC. Google has acknowledged the problem but there has not yet been a fix released.
Nope, doesn't seem like it happens on AOSP Android. My cousin has the sensation and the double word thing happens to me and him. We just use handcent.

I can't say that I ever had that issue with AOSP. I used Handcent most of the time then anyway because I preferred the interface to AOSP.
Never had this issue on cm7. I get weird errors too. For instance, if I type in landscape and send it then go portrait the last word I typed is shown. Sometimes after I reply to a message the message I sent shows as new. Unacceptable.

It is definitely a bug that has plagued android for a long time. Here is a post where you can read about the different bugs that Android SMS has. Once again, this is not specific to HTC devices. I used to experience this same problem on my fascinate.

yeah i get that bug where you see a text you recently sent as a reply and the threat still has an unread.
I have the new facebook app but for some reason i dont see any pictures, just gray squares, this happens on both the app and the stock browser and dolphin browser.
I have cleared Data and Cache, and it helped a little bit, i now can see the persons default pic but as for photos they have posted i still get gray squares.
does any one else have this issue? or know how to fix it?

Everything is working fine on my phone, and I haven't seen any other reports of it. I suppose you could try re-installing the FB app, but if it's happening in the browser too, the issue probably lies elsewhere.
Do a full re-install of your ROM? It's silly for an issue like this, but I imagine the problem will be difficult to pinpoint.
Sometimes it's actually just the connection. Sometimes my 3G won't load the pics, and switching to WiFi immediately fixes it. Just my connection probably.

Hello guys. I use Chrome and XDA was fine. I could log in and post normally. However, since a few days ago, whenever I log in from Chrome and try to post something I am sent to the log in screen. If I log in, I am again sent to the log in screen!! This doesn't happen with Firefox.
Since I didn't change anything in Chrome I was wondering whether it has to do with something changed in XDA. Any help would be appreciated as currently I have to open Firefox just to post here
Hi guys, i have a really annoying problem using the whole xda webpages. Every single page i open up my browsers hang on one point for about 30 seconds and then the messsage that the script "blob:http://forum.xda-developers.com/423847bf-a6e8-491b-88a9-c196421e370d" doesnt answer anymore. This happens with all browsers, but only while i´m not logged in, when i log into my xda account this never happens. I allready tried to block it with adblocker or hosts but it doesnt help.
