Hi everyone,
i bought my galaxy tab 10.1 in the US but live in Germany.
Does anyone know where to buy this plug for the power adapter?
I have the US one, but want the European one.. But wether on Samsung's websites nor on ebay or anywhere else I can find it. And I don't want to spend 40€ for a whole new power adapter..
I have found some information:
The US Plug's model number is WS-069-N and the European one's should be WS-068-L (can anyone from Europe confirm this? It's on the back of the plug).
The plugs are from company "Well Shin" and the plugs can be found here: http://www.wellshin.com.tw/03_products/international_power_adapter_plug.pdf (page 6)
Thanks for your help!
ah it'll be hard to find just the plug, you'll be better with that

i was looking for it too but they dont sell it so unless you get it from someone who has an old Galaxy tab 7" charger it'll be difficult
i personally ended up buying this at a hardware store in the meantime...
Some days ago, i wrote a mail to Samsungs Support in germany and asked them about the plug. Long story short: you cant just buy the plug...
so I got http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0044EAVB6/ref=oss_product instead.
Works like a charm
Euro AC charger
Hi, I picked up one from ebay for a few Euros only, just search for USB EU Mains Charger Power For Samsung Galaxy Tab, it supports all USB devices using 5V and has range from 150mA - 2100mA, seller is lilywholesale, also offers free shipping
Just get an Euro power cable.
http://www.google.com/search?um=1&h...Q&q=euro+power+cable&spell=1&biw=1280&bih=800
Yes a standard power cables works, and gives you more length as well
I'm from the UK and bought a 10.1 in the US, and also find it very annoying you can't just buy the plug heads. I eventually decided to buy a proper official Samsung UK plug (including both parts), so now I have both the UK and US plug heads and 2 of the larger part which they (and the USB cable) plug into. I wanted to do that rather than use an adapter as I holiday in the US quite a lot and thought it'd be more convenient to just have to take an extra plug head with me.
Very annoying they sell it as a travel adapter but don't sell the plug heads separately so there's no way to actually use it as a travel adapter.
I'll swap my UK WS-086-8 for a US WS-069-M
I bought a Galaxy 8.9" off Amazon received the wellshin UK plug.
I am offering to swap my UK WS-086-8 for a US WS-069-M.
Each party pays their shipping.
See the pictures under light duty power adapter at the wellshin catalog
I need the reverse email me if you still need the Euro adaptor head. I need the US one

Which one do you mean? this or this one? How do you connect them? They don't seem to be compatible with the adapter's strange connector.
Need USA adapter - Have EU adapter
This is now a top thread in searching for plug heads for this adapter (which is the same adapter as the Nexus 10).
I'm in the USA and ordered it from Amazon -- the seller shipped me the German version, so I have an EU plug that I'm willing to switch out for someone with a US plug.

Second one.
But I wonder if you really need it. The data USB cable can be plugged into any USB charger to charge the tablet. Hell, my g/f even used the Samsung adapter to plug in her iPhone to charge (BLASPHEMY lol)

Greetings all. Just picked up a 10.1 from a local BB. super excited to open it up in a couple of hours.
As far as accessories, can someone verify that the travel charger and the usb cable that came with the 7" galaxy tablet will work with this 10.1" as well?
Any recommended place to get these two from?
cellphoneshop seems to be the place to get some cheap $3-$5 chargers and usb cables.
any other sites?
I refuse to pay the obscene $20 and $35 that samsung is charging for the cables and chargers....
thanks
I believe the 7" tab stuff will work. I'm going to confirm that today after work.

Sigh, If thats the case then by tab is going straight back to best buy in a week
The 7 inch tab stuff works fine on the 10.1. The usb adapter is backorder at samsung and does not appear anywhere else.
I went to my local Best Buy this weekend and saw a space for USB connection kit on the shelf. The sales guy couldn't find it in the internal system or on their website though. The SKU was 2837365 and he said it was an accessory previously discontinued for the 7" tab that is coming back for both. Not sure if anybody else saw this. I think I saw someone else posted they saw the same thing at another website forum too.

Yes it will, one of the features of honeycomb is the ability to do USB hosting. I haven't bought it yet, but I believe the keyboard dock has USB ports. Now I don't have any reports saying that anyone has tried it out yet, but thats what I wouldlook in to

It does NOT have USB ports but does have a pass-through of the 30-min Samsung Connector they "claim" allows you to use the USB -or- HDMI adapters. I have neither to test this but I have the keyboard dock and there is only the 30-min and a headphone jack.
I need a charger for the galaxy note; I dont want a cheapo charger. I want teh genuine thing!

I don't see why you would want an original. 5V 1 amp USB plug type adapters are more common than water on this planet. They are not a coveted item.
I must have four of them.
BTW, I have the 100% original Euro one that is 100% original garbage. They cleverly put the USB slot on the side?

I have many chargers but they are cheap ones, I dont believe they work properly. I shall just buy the one drgopoos showed. I have like 3 USB cables. I ill have to carry both when im out and about!
If i were you , I would get this.
This is hp touchpad 2amp charger. Many people have reported that 2amp charger charges faster.
2amp chargers wont hurt ur phone because the phone only takes the amp it wants.
May be our Gnote has kernel that enables charging with higher current.

i have already ordered one.
Is there a place for an original Samsung 1A charger (not one where you have to attach a USB cable). I have the original one from Germany that has a US adapter, but would prefer getting two original Samsung ones (not Palm, etc) to put around the house.
Charging cable for samsung
I have a Samsung TAB and a galaxy s2. the problem with these is that the connectors are not compatible and I could not charge the TAB from a PC. I found something on Amazon called the CSQUID (damn I just checked and the price is flipping $15!! I paid $25 for this!!!!). With it I got a single cable to charge the TAB and the S2 from a PC - even when the PC was asleep. A bonus was that the devices charged from the PC as fast as they did from the wall cube. So with the PC and this cable I was SET...
I dont know details like whether they ship to the UK etc but worth you guys cheching it out...Also dont know what port the Samsung note uses so please check before buying...
good luck...thanks
Charging cable for samsung
Sorry - one other thing I forgot to mention is that in one of the modes (with the lightning symbol), it does not care what you have as the power source. So you can charge the samsung devices from ANY wall, car or PC USB port. My tab for e.g. cannot use the standard Samsung cable to charge from my wifes iPhone wall cube. With this CSQUID cable in the "lightning mode" I can charge from it.
But the point of this whole thing in my mind is that I dont need to carry ANY dang wall adapter around....I have my PC with me at all times and since I can charge even when the PC is asleep, I can charge anywhere...
cheers.

Not sure why but if you use a generic 5V 1amp charger, it takes a longer time compared to the original one that came with the Note.
just picked up one from ebay genuine mains charger for £3.25 free del cant go wrong
Fast charger
If you need fast charging
You need to use Galaxy Tab P1000 orginal charger with output of 5V 2A
It is almost 35% faster
I guess there's a specific reason why you want a genuine chager with detachable leads. Why not buy a seperate cable to use with your laptop?
Since the Verizon Nexus is out, is anyone not going to be using the supplied wall plug charger adapter because they have something else/better ? I bought mine from the UK and it came with this behemoth sized "international" adapter that makes weird noises when it rapes/charges my battery :x
if any1 has a charger they dont really want, id be willing to throw in a few bucks for it :] plus shipping of course
As far as I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong) you can use any Android charger with micro USB. In fact, I used my OG Droid car charger on the way home and have it plugged into the Droid wall charger as I type this. It's working just fine.
So if you have a charger from an old Android phone, try it out.
p.s.
I would refrain from using that euro charger. You might fry your battery. Happened to a friend of mine from Australia earlier this year when he first moved here and didn't have a US phone.

I actually don't. I sold/returned all my old phones along with their adapters. I bought a $25 charger but its not "compatible" with my phone so, instead of charging at its usual 1amp, it only does 5mAh
Here's a link to a wall charger from Amazon,
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Trave...E70I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323972023&sr=8-1
$3.12.. looks like the same charger from Galaxy S1 and Nexus S.
Comparing the USB from Nexus S & Galaxy Nexus.. the Nexus S has a longer USB cable.
I'm interested in this as well. I'd like to identify another charger that can charge at full speed so I can replace that bulky U.K. charger.

Should be .7amp, the proper voltage for this phone.

Ok, so did some checking, apparently i need a specific cable to use my phone with the AppRadio2,
And an app called ARLiberator...checked the market and it is 35 frikkin dollars for the app.
Is this serious? 35 dollars? Holy cow, i could understand 10 bucks, but 35 dollars for an app?
Before I go any further with this, are there any Note 2 users out there with Pioneer's AppRadio2 and the Note 2 combined that would like to share feedback?
35 damn dollars.....better iron my shirts, cook breakfast, and wash my car every saturday lol
Seriously, any users out there that can shed some light on how it works would be great.
That's cheap. My boy bought the radio and had to buy cable from them and it was like 80 bucks
Well there is a proprietary 11 pin connector we need for our Note 2 to work with it.
Honestly I was just shocked at an app being 35 dollars. Makes me wish there was a free version so i could trial it out and see what I would be working with on my Note 2 and that AppRadio.
(I have the Pioneer AVH-8400BH, which only works with iOS. which is why i wanna get the Appradio if this app really unlocks the awesome potential...)

Tried their cable, the cable they want me to use, which is the one you listed, is a 5 pin cable, which doesn't work with the Note 2. In fact the cable works with VERY few phones.
I think i may have found a solution, if it works, i'll post it up so if anyone runs into the same situation they have a place to hopefully get things fingered out.

I thought you had to get a Samsung mhl that connects to the phone
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
The connector they sell is only a 5 pin, which is why their supported android list is very slim, SGS2 and such, the new Samsung phones use a newer 11 pin Micro USB so the MHL cable for the pioneer kit doesnt work, you have to get the adaptor that converts from 5 to 11 pin.
Mine should be here on tuesday. Outside of XDA im still researching and figuring out what works and what doesnt, and the MHL adaptor that pioneer sells absolutely does not work out of the box with our note 2 or the S3.
I have heard some people complain that the phone slows down because of the demand the connection puts on to mimic the phone on the headunit, but the Note has more power than it knows what to do with so that shouldn't be a problem.
Questions and help issues go in Q&A

One source for a not too expensive MHL adapter
FWIW, while I know there are cheap MHL connectors on Ebay, I just bought one at Frys for $25 that had a little adapter for the S3/Note 2. Worked just fine with my TV.

I found that with my Note 2 I had to use the little adapter, which implies that all the pins we need are in a regular 5 pin just not accessible on the Note 2.
Note that the MHL adapter only works if you provide power to it via the microusb port, and one thing that someone mentioned in one of the Youtube videos was that the power requirements of the Note 2 was kinda high. He initially used a garden variety power source, but got bad cutting out, and when I tried mine at home I had the same results when powering from the computers USB port. Switching to the Samsung power source that came with the phone fixed it.
I think the Pioneer car kit linked above would work if we had the little 11>5 pin adapter, and might actually provide enough power, since it looks like it has direct to 12v connections. I'll probably just go to the local electronics parts shop and buy a 12V>2a 5v voltage convertor, or just build one, but if I didnt have the MHL connector already I'd consider the Pioneer one and finding the 11>5 pin adapter.
The nice Samsung computer dock would probably also work, and hold your phone.
I just purchased a white 32gb Nexus 5 to replace my Galaxy s2 that is dying a slow death. The phone is currently somewhere in transit via the usps. I am currently stationed in Italy and over here the outlets are 220v, not 110v. I want to purchase a wireless charger for my N5. I would purchase a 220v charger here, however, I am headed back home to the states later this year. I would hate to buy a 220v charger here, only to have to sell it, and purchase a new charger when I get home. So... anyone with a wireless charger, can you tell me if your particular charger is dual voltage?

The Qi chargers themselves are universal and don't use the 110v - 220v. So don't worry about that and pick up whatever Qi charger you want. They are all DC 5V 1.5A - 2A input. They generally just come with the charging plate and a USB cable (unless you buy for example the official Nexus 5 wireless charger which also includes the power adapter that supports 100 - 240v anyway). So you can plug the Qi charger using USB into a PC if you really need to (charges slower though).
What you will need to consider is the AC adapter/wall wart (what plugs into the wall, with a USB port or micro USB cable attached) that you usually buy separately (make sure it is 2A output). The AC adapter is what you need to make sure supports 100 - 240v. Most USB wall adapters are travel adapters by design, so they already support 100 - 240v. So it really shouldn't be a problem for you, but just double check it before you buy one.
For example, an AC adapter like this: AC 100 - 240v Input → DC 5V 2A Output. Then you just plug whatever Qi charger you have into it.

I have a Qi charger in my car which I typically only use during my 30 minute commute to and from work so I mostly do not lose any charge during my commute. I am looking to get another Qi charger to use at home and I was wondering if wireless charging stops when phone is fully charged. I am worried that wireless charging will stop in the middle of the night when phone gets charged giving me a partially charged phone in the morning.

Mine just uses a 12v DC input and it came with a 110v AC to 12v DC transformer so worst case you might just need to buy an adapter. But then again my charger was less than $25 shipped: http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessory.chargers-nokia-wireless-charging-plate-sku6290260.html
Doubt that applies internationally...
