You can't oc on swisscheese, plus its a way outdate gb leak. I would go for the new eg22 build or one of the custom ef02 roms. Acs Bamboozled is a good gb rom to try if you want to oc.

Pick one in the themes/apps forum, download to SD card, boot into CWM and flash the zip file. (Generic instructions, but read the OP of the particular animation thread you are in for further directions.)
There are tons of videos in a single thread stickied at the top of the General forum. Check it out for info.

You need a custom kernel that supports bootanimation.zip format boot animations. I don't think you can use a custom kernel on Swiss cheese, so your outta luck there bud.

I don't believe any Gingerbread ROM supports the changing of boot animations.
Sorry.

There is an EG22 update.zip in the Epic Development section you could use. 2.3.4 has a lot of fixes in it. If an app Force Closes try going into Settings>applications>manage applications>all click on the app and click clear data.

Hello,
Is there any chance we will see Eugene's AOSP Vibrant ROM on our I9000 Froyo ?
It would be what a lot of us are looking for in a while.
Link to Eungene's ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773018
The vibrate version is fully functional on I9000,
Use odin to flash JM9 first, the apply the ASOP on top. Very nice rom and the fastest for SGS, apps open instantly.

He did ask for a Froyo version though
Was not aware that this can be used with 2.1
Maybe I will give it a try
@DocRambone: I saw that you asked Eugene on how to optimize his ROM for I9000. What about porting this to 2.2 ?
I will buy you lots of beer.
Thanks
do the download and recovery keys stay in the same place if you put this rom on?

The port to froyo is a monumental task, and well above my skills.
Will need a truck of beer

Most likely yes. It should not affect Combo Buttons

EDIT: I am currently flashing to JM9 with JM7 modem and CSC, then will apply R4. By any chance are you aware how to remove Vibrant logo at boot ?
what thas it mean can we put this rom in our i90000 with no trouble and the other rom like bionix?could we put them in there?
Dont know about bionix, but as Doc said, it should work with JM9. As said, I will flash and try and let you know the result. Fingers crossed.
Jm9 and this excellent rom is ok, i use it right now.
There is a bug tho:

This ASOP r4 is not froyo, its 2.1 rom. Make sure that the rom you take from Vibrate forum don't include kernel or modem.. or you may brick your phone otherwise
So wat exactly do you need to do in odin after flashing JM9 with the zip file from the vibrant forum and the freezing fix?

Install jm9, factory reset, install the Hybrid r4Asop, use rootmangager (or other filemanager or adb) to put the playslogo file in system/bin
When you install the Hybrid r4Asop rom, do you use the normal recovery or something else?

froyo only
Kernel:

Only changes are to acpulock-7x30.c , no additional credits/copyrights were in the header of the one I worked off of. If you had a hand it it, let me know so we both can fix that.
Since this isnt even available for everybody yet, is it stable at 1.65ghz?

You will be able to get higher than 2000 with this kernal easily. The thing is though, I don't think you can flash back to froyo after going to GB, or atleast I can't.
this is for GB? Wish it would of stated it in the op. Where can I find a Oc kernel for froyo with this kind of potential?

I didn't back up the stock rom. If it messes up just remove the battery, go into recovery, flash back to what you were using before.
Hi all,
I flashed litening ROM 1.5 today because of all the cool features it has as it seems to be the easiest way to get them all working with KF2, but the one thing i'm not a big fan of is the themeing.
Please could someone direct me to a stock GSII theme (I searched the forum but couldnt find one) or a way of getting it back without losing the ROM.
Thanx
Aaron

Things like the CRT off screen, and the advanced power menu, and the fixed browser (basicly I decided it was easier to flash this then find all of these and intsll them seperately) and the fact that I could flash it without losing my apps

First, I don't think there is a true Sense 3.0 ROM available for the Inc2. Second, this has no relevance to the OP's question. Please open your own thread.

Have you tried extracting the APK and installing it? Being MIUI is an AOSP rom this MIGHT work.
This kid is trolling for some reason thinking he is cool. And no I just got home so Im going to try it.
Just download mirren browser from the market.
It wants to replace it as a system app. What do i have to change in the file to make it seem like a 3rd party?

+1. The miren browser is essentially the same as the miui browser. I'd recommend that as well. It's quicker and painless.

Are you trying to flash to touchwiz ics or cm9/aokp?
For cm9/aokp you will just need to flash this file to fix mms:

To get everthing working with touchwiz I would just read through this thread:

I got this how to process on youtube to install fe07 build ICS and i guess its a one click odin process.. trying to explain to the fullest....
