Can't call sprint

For some reason I can't dial to talk to SPRINT *2 don't work I even have a direct number and that don't work either.. I get a call lost notice!! What the hell.. I'm running cynaogen 7 never happened before.. anybody have any ideas for a brother??? Plz. Thanks!

*2 is a short code that's programmed into the base, which CM does not have since the Sprint apps are not present in the base.

Well thats the main number for sprint. If that isnt working, there is a problem with your phone. Try flashing back to a stock rom.

WORK
Just be a little creative. Download a rom that comes with it as a removed/optional apk (MYN Warm 2.2 does for sure). Unzip the rom, find the apk & push it to your phone with adb:
adb devices (just to make sure it's connected)
adb mount
adb push srintzone.apk system/app/
adb reboot
Done
or just mount your sd card and place the apk file in a random folder and find it in your file explorer (download es explorer from market if you don't have one). just click on it in file explorer and it will ask you to install.
Honestly if you've flashed enough roms on your phone more than likely there is already a folder marked optional/removed that has it. I usually wipe most unused things but I keep a couple of these folders just in case.
Does sound like something may be wrong with your phone though if it isn't dialing a regular phone number.

EDIT: Excuse me for this. Doesn't work on AOSP roms, only sense. Sorry buddy good luck though.

I need help with market

So, I've been running the same stuff since I got my replacement. Stock, deodexed ec05, with maddoggin's simply blue theme/6 lok mod, and nubecoder's droid charge boot animation. All of a sudden, the market is fcing on me. I tried clearing data/cache, and fixing permissions in cwm. Nothing. It starts to load, then fc's. Any ideas?

Have you tried replacing the Vending.apk (market app)? If not pull one from a ROM and try replacing the one currently on your phone.

I just tried replcing it with the vending.apk frm the theme .zip. I deleted the old one, and pasted the "new" one in system/app with es file explorer, then mounted as read only. Then tried to open, it fc'd. I turned it off, booted into cwm, tried to fix permissions, and when I reboted, it fc'd upon startup. i'd be happy if I could keep the themed market, but I'll settle for regular I it'll work again. If you could paste the vending.apk for me, that'd be great. I'm on my phone, so icant really dowload a whole rom. I gotta get sleep lol

Try just flashing a theme that includes a themed market. It should overwrite whatever is wrong with your market plus give you a themed market.

I flashed the theme again, and its still fcing. I don't understand why its doing this, it was working fine earlier. Right now, I just need a working market, Idc about color.

Have you tried to get on gmail? The market requires an active account and maybe that is what is causing the fc. Guessing at this point. If gmail fc's clear data in that then clear the market data and try.

Gmail works fine. When I clear data to the market, it'll let me accept the t&c blah blah, but once I hit acccpt, it starts to load, then fc's.

It happened randomly to me as well I had to start from scratch. Rewipe everything and flash rom then theme. I couldn't gey anything else to work. I also could load data for my back ups from mybackup, just the apk's otherwise the fc would come back. Good luck sorry that isn't the easiest solution.

Hulu plus for us :-)

With the help of another xda member. (Halfcalf) we now have hulu plus for our phone. All you need to do is place the extracted files from the zip I will upload into your titanium backup folder then restore the app. All three files must be in the titanium backup folder. Not just one big folder. It took me a few tries but it works. I'll answer questions as your post.

just a note, you only need the files in Hulu Plus Tit Backup Files.zip - no need to download/install the .apk separately as it's contained in the archive. Unzip/extract to /sdcard/Titanium Backup/ and restore, worked perfectly the first time (CM7 nightly 2011-7-23).

Worked great here. I think the picture beats Netflix streaming. Not a plus subscriber so my test video is limited but looks and sounds awesome!

When I launch it, it tells me that my device isn't supported. It won't let me launch any videos either. Was I only suppose to restore the app, and not app+data?

someone else (op) got me the files and i read someone else tried this a few days ago..i just harassed enough people till they gave me the files..ive been working on this for like 2 weeks..i finally got the apk 3 days ago and halfcalf was willing to give me the files. im not the best with android yet, but i will still fight to get us stuff.
you have no idea have many times i would explain i had an unsupported phone and ask for the apk and i would get the response "its in the market go download it" this is from people who knew about root too.. lol

You can download all market apps on your computer or through the web browser.

Man I would love a deblurred version cuz the lack of internal memory on this phone is driving me crazy!!

sorry, just had a baby boy so a little distracted from posting. here it is just replace original build.prop with this one, then do a factory reset and you will have a deblur version.

Hmm think i'll try this out for a while til my upgrade. Do i unzip it...replace it where? in the system folder? and then just factory reset??

Unzip the downloaded file (will contain build.prop)
Get a file explorer (like es file explorer) and go to setting and select the root explorer
Explore into "system" folder, and create a backup of the existing build.prop file (to your memory card)
Replace it with the unzipped build.pop download.
Factory restore and you're done! If you don't like, just copy the backup build.prop file and overwrite, factory reset and you're back Blurred!
one question though...how does one transfer all blurr contacts to gmail? Tried this file on my wife's phone and could only restore gmail contacts...

Yea got it to work...deblur is much appreciated....phone is way more manageable and I can actually download apps again!

are there any differences in this file other than the addition of the line

This is a pain in the ass. Go to each and every contact, unlink them then delete the blur contact so you're only left with the gmail contact. Then go to your accounts and sync gmail contacts so they are all synced to google. Turn off sync to blur if possible (sorry its been a while doing this cuz I got an atrix that allows me to choose where I want contacts saved). This should solve that.

The method posted works just fine, if you're stuck at the boot animation, reflash from the sbf and try again, it's certainly not bricked.

I reinstalled the stock froyo. Works fine. Thanks. I had accidentally uninstalled the blurhome.sys or whatever.

Don't know about that but it might be because when I used this tweak, my device would reboot every 5 minutes or so. Flashed back to stock froyo and hasn't had a reboot since

is it like all aosp apps when you use this

Nope.. If I remember correctly, it disables having to log into a blur account, and disables the home launcher (causing the screen to be black). Probably a few other small things..
To avoid the black screen, you can copy an apk of another launcher (launcher pro, adw, go launcher, etc) to /system/app/

how to remove bloat

search tool seems to be down or gone so i gotta use this method.
i am rooted and have root explorer installed but i cant seem to remove some of the bloat like asphalt and some of the crap sprint puts on there that i dont need. if any one can point me in the rite direction i would greatly appreciate it

another qouestion. i rooted per qbkings videos and did the gps fix on my phone and the wifes. keyboard skips have disappeared on both phones. was that in the gps fix or the acs recovery?

That was actually in the first kernel you flashed before installing anything...the one that gets CWM or ACS recoveries to "stick" upon reboot.

In root explorer, go to system/apps and hit the r/o button. Long press and delete the apps you don't want. Turn off phone and turn back on. I hate the stock browser and always remove it this way if I forget to remove it from the Rom/Theme. Be careful what you delete. You can also add a .bak extension to the file to deactivate it in case you may want it later.

titanium backup is easy enough to remove what you don't want.

go back to qbking's videos. he has a few in order to install the acs recovery and make it stick, along with the new "stock" update from sprint. once you apply these installation steps, your gps, keyboard issues, and other things will be fine. i do apologize, i cannot post any links on here just yet. but i did do the steps in his videos and i have no problems.
