NovoTalk - a free Google Chat client

Hi,
I have written an application for QVGA devices (240x320). I felt the lack of a genuine google chat application that was free of charge.

NovoTalk is written in C#, so .Net CF 3.5 will be required.
Might not work properly on smartphones.
Tested by me on WM 5,6,6.1 and on HTC Touch with WM 6.5

As of now, I am giving out the cab installer to a selected few beta testers. Once the initial testing is done, I will attach the RC cab file here. There are plans that this application might be open-sourced at a later stage.

not bad but what better than nimbuzz or talkonaut?

Nimbuzz requires registration to its own service( which I refer to as third party registration). Talkaunaut is good, but again it adds gtalk2voip bot to your contacts without approval and call features does not work many times. IMHO these according to me are the only good free options, but not clean as the Gtalk Windows client.

a free client is always welcome. any chance it will support other chat platforms ?

Oh yes, the future versions will definitely support other platforms. But my first target is to make it compatible with smartphones.

Thanks! I just want this encouragement to make this application better and more stable. Yahoo Messenger! You read my mind, actually I will be working on it when NovoTalk has a stable version released.

That's a nice idea. If you meant to say orkut scrap notifications should be done, I tried looking up for that feature, but google has no documentation on it as of now(or at least I could not find one).I don't promise this feature, but I will try to include it in the next release

Thanks! Yeah that's definitely going to be supported. The feature requests that I have received will require me to code the framework from scratch.So, I expect a much better GUI and faster application.
I think that there is a little less interest in my application at XDA? Please prove me wrong and designers may help me

We just released a new version of LilyPad HD. For those of you not familiar with the app, it's a floating/popup IM client. Actually you don't have to do all of that. To exit, open the settings from either the buddy list or chat window. Using the drop down menu, hit exit. Done.
I figured people would be keeping this open in the background so I tucked the exit button in the settings menu.
