I had been using this keyboard during beta for quite sometime and grew quite fond of it, and it just ran out the other day causing me to revert back to stock
Luckily, Amazon is offering it for free today!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005D9MUWY/ref=mas_ty
Ugh, I was using this as well in beta, really really great keyboard. They came out with the full version, and were offering it for $1.99, and I figured it would take forever to come out for free, so I bought it. Kicking myself now!
To be honest, if an app developer makes a good app I'm perfectly willing to pay for it. I think if I had bought it before the offer today I wouldn't be kicking myself
I downloaded this from Amazon today, but it refuses to work. I have installed twice and gone through the set up, made Swiftkey default, but I still am only able to use the HTC keyboard. Are there any tricks to getting this to work on our device?
I was able to get it working just fine on CM7. However, I am unable to complete the setup process because the language pack download keeps failing.
Edit: Shortly after posting this the download decided to work, so I'm all set up now. Now I just need to spend time with it to see if I like it!
I got mine working too, for the moment. I was enabling the keyboard before downloading the language pack. Apparently, the set up process needs to be completed exactly in order, or the keyboard does not work correctly.

You can enable the keyboard and set as default without going through the setup process.
I paid the full $4 for it. Worth every penny.

This is how you make a developer happy
I'm pretty sure Amazon is compensating the developers for their daily free stuff so don't feel too bad about getting it free!

Thats 2 bucks that goes to a developer who invested hundreds of hours into what is probably the best keyboard for android. Nothing to kick yourself about.
Awesome keyboard. Worth the 2 dollars.
Is it just me or is the space bar too small? I end up hitting period instead of space all the time. Same thing with backspace and return sometimes.
Enjoying every minute of it. I was using FlexT9's swipe feature (Kind of miss that) but over all its a Very Impressive keyboard.

Loving this keyboard. One issue, when I restart my phone it goes to the default keyboard. How do I make it the default setting? I'm running cm7.

So I just ordered these screen protectors and patiently waited a few days to get them; boom, talk about super epic fail. I purchased a 2 pack for evo and they sent me a 2 pack for evo shift. I double checked the order to make sure it said evo 4g not evo shift and they managed to send it wrong. As I started to peel it on my phone I noticed that it sat right on the screen without touching the border's. I begin to scratch my head only to notice the package says evo shift. I don't even feel like sending this crap back man. I know its a dumb story but if you only could have watched my facial expression when I placed it on the screen. Priceless.

Did you order them directly from Seidio? Give them a call or email. I'm sure they will send you out the right ones without any problem. From what I have seen here and on other forums they have pretty good customer service. They probably won't even make you send back the wrong ones.

I forget to mention it was Amazon. I usually order tons of junk from Amazon but this is the first time they've ever screwed up :-(.

I have actually returned an item to amazon before, it was super easy and fast. I just forget where exactly you do it. Should be worth a try at least.

Amazon also has good customer support. Give them a call.
I ordered a music stand two weeks ago from amazon. Never showed up. Called UPS who said, the system shows it's been delivered (yes, I can read the same web page as you), They couldn't transfer me to Amazon fast enough. Amazon shipped another music stand without any fuss (there was enough on my end). Got it two days later.

They sell high volume, they are bound to mess up a couple orders here and there.
How does an HTC Flyer ROM sound? Well too bad. It doesn't work well.
The apps don't fit well, the camera doesn't work and I've not really bothered trying anything else.
I'm positive I'll need to mess with the framework.
Details;
Mix of Virtuous Unity (framework and lib files and stuff) and the Flyer ROM for the DHD (apps and base ROM).
Launcher actually rotates! Although it don't fit right.
Apps - don't even ask. Tonnes of Force Closes and shiz.
Put simply, I'm posting this thread to raise epic hype. Since I won't have much time for this till Sunday/Monday night. I'll maybe post what I have as a proof of concept, but till then not much can happen.
Ah balls it soft rebooted....
Meh. Enjoy the dream peeps, enjoy the dream.
Stuff I need to fix - Soft keyboard, app sizes, framework, strings, setup wizard, probably the settings app, and loads moar.
Mind you, I have it. You don't. TROLOLOLOL!!
Reserved for stuff.
RESERVED FOR MOAR STUFF!!
Also 1200th post.
Balls I meant 1100. Meh.
Good luck. I look forward to trying this. If you need anyone to test anything during development I'm happy to help. I have a very boring job which gives me loads of spare time to mess around with my phone.

Testing? Nah not yet. I need to make the phone at lease a little usable. IE test all teh functions and stuff. Then next on the list would be making all the apps fit. Which I was gonna leave to the dev of the DHD Flyer port
If you know anything about resizing the apps, or editing frameworks (although I don't know which ones and what to change), thats what I need help with right now.
I don't particularly believe in testing, I'll release my WIP when I'm slightly happy with it, and then perhaps use beta testers for a final release.
I may actually mess with this today, but after that its a wait till Sunday/Monday till I can really start. Got cadets tonight then I'm going away with them from Friday night to Sunday sometime. XD
I also love how every ROM I post gets like 1 star, compared to the 4/5 stars the rest of the forum has.
Cheers community! I'll remember that so that my next ROM doesn't come here, clearly you don't want it.

I found this on a quick google search http://gadgetian.com/20137/htc-droid-incredible-2-gingerbread-ota-update/
I'm not running that version, but a signed and verified one from someplace much more trustworthy IMO. I cannot give a link to mine, but everything about the .4. version is refined from the .3. and the phone works flawlessly now !
good luck and godspeed boys!
i'm sure once the ota is pushed more you WILL see it posted around so keep updating those browsers

I just did a force check and am downloading it now. I am in Southern California.
Just force checked and got it! Tampa
It's also available for me in NY, but I declined... Don't want to loose root!!
Finally just checked my gfs phone and its downloading now. In in MA.

Lakeland FL. Close to Tampa.
I have it, dc area
Carelessly swyped on my phone so there may be some weird typos
Available for me. 50 miles south of DC.
got it in monterey, ca... seems good to go so far...no htc hub tho, i thought sense 2.1 was supposed to have that included...not sure what to do with the new dock option...looks pretty tho
Just checked and it is available in south eastern Pennsylvania. It is taking a while to download over 3G so I will probably try connecting to the university's WiFi to speed things up.
Force check in DC worked like a charm.

Does this count towards the new tiered bandwidth amounts? I was lucky enough to be.grandfathered with the unlimited so it does not effect me personally, so just wondering if ota updates are an exclusion.
I got it and ignored it. Near Albuquerque, NM
Murder-apolis Minnie-snow-ta just got the email from HTC notifying me its available. Waiting to hear more about how its working out for people. Still not decided about root either. Liking having options right now.
Not sure if it just me but the internet browser feels a lot snappier and responsive especially when typing in forums and also switching between tabs/windows. Selecting text to cut and copy also feels a lot nicer and more accurate moving around the selector icons. Switching from tasks also significantly smoother.
Seems that in terms of "bloatware" the only thing new that was added was Google books which is not so bad, at least it is some game or service that requires a subscription like blockbuster.
Also, while the other preinstalled stuff still can not be uninstalled the.option to move the applications to the SD card was added to all of them, which I guess is a step in the.right.direction, but personally them taking up space was the least of my worries with generous big SD card that came with the phone.
But the improved default internet browser had to be my favorite change so far, since I prefer it over the third party ones and probably is one of the top uses I get out of my phone.
I couldn't Find it to download it but I had it on my xoom still here's a link to the apk. It works on my epic 4g rooted. I was shocked and horrified that it was taken down.

I have had this app for a almost 2 years now.. this is the best craigslist app hands down.. I wish it was still on the market.
I set this app up, so that everytime a new job in the I.T field was posted in my area, it sent me a notification..
I have my resume and cover letter on my phone.. so I would email it to them within 5 minutes of them posting it.
That is exactly what I do with mine phone and Craigslist app. My last 4 jobs I got because of this app.
I was always one of the first 4 or 5 people to apply
The winning factor in getting a job now a days.
Keep resume as PDF, quick email.. Winning
Can apply for a job while at the Ball Game with ease (done it)
I don;t get it, I have Craigslist mobile on my Epic and I still see all of them on the market.

Hello, XDA Community!
I hope this thread doesn't break any of the rules from the "n00b" video, but I just had to say thanks to all of you. I'm 31 years old and I FINALLY got my first cellphone yesterday. It was the typical debate, iPhone vs Android, both have pros and cons, but I ended up going with my heart and picked the Galaxy Nexus. I also convinced my fiance to get the same one (she wanted to get the Samsung Galaxy S Glide because of the keyboard). Anything would have been a step-up for her (she had the BB Bold 9700). FYI for anyone wanting to know... DO NOT update the BB Bold 9700 to OS6, it just can't handle it properly! Stick to OS5!
Anyway, the reason I'm saying thanks is because I pretty much learned everything I needed to know about Android from XDA. I could unlock, root, install CWM, and flash stock Google images in my sleep, GNEX Toolkit or Command Prompt! The only thing missing was the actual phone...
As soon as I got home with it, that's exactly what I did. I unlocked both our phones, got rid of Yakjuux in favour of Takju 4.0.4 (I know, I know... Google Wallet doesn't work in Canada yet, but whatever...), installed Adobe Flash, and updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 OTA. To top it all off, I rooted it this morning and I have a nice Superuser icon on my main homescreen. I'm loving it!
Once again, thank you all! I hope I can contribute to the XDA Community and help others the way you have all helped me. I've already installed the Android SDK and all the Eclipse plugins needed to code for Android. I will try to get back into Java programming, for Android this time. Needless to say, if I ever create a killer app, I will post it here first!
Oh yeah, and if anyone is wondering, I got my GNEX from Rogers here in Canada (6 GB Super Plan). A few weeks ago, they jacked up the price from $75 back up to $150; then about a week ago, they pulled it from their website. It seems as though it is being discontinued, but you should still go to your carrier of choice because they might still have some lying around. They were selling them for $30 but ended up giving it to me for free as long as I paid $27 for some lame screen protectors (which I am not using).
Take care!
This is XDA, so you're NOT welcome

This was my first phone where I'm actually okay with how it runs and haven't rooted it! After 3 other android phones, I think I'm settling down with this.
I hope you keep yours for a while and do the community proud!
Welcome!
