Hi All,
I have bricked by Desire(Bravo) GSM, I am from India and got it last year in the month of September. I want to revert it back to S-ON for warranty purpose. Unfortunately I lost the original shipped ROM/Software version. If possible can anyone help me to get that. Currently its rooted with s-off and custom rom is installed.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi
My desire has firmware : 1.20.207.3 CL171460 release-keys
I'm debating debranding it and putting the latest generic rom on it.
The reason for this is I'm moving from the UK to NZ, but would like to get the 2.2 firmware upgrade.
From what I've read, debranding will allow me to upgrade when I'm out of the UK.
Is this safe to do ? I don't want to brick my new phone !!
Can you advise how I would do this or if there is any other option for me !!
Many Thanks
Hi sorry to pick this one up as not answered but I am in exactly this position.
Bought a Desire from o2 in UK and moved to New Zealand.
VF NZ sim works straight out the box,
but will I be able to 2.2 this phone? My sw is 1.20.207.3.
Obviously dont need any o2 features on this phone as I wont be using their network?
Cheers from both.
Debrand using a ROM and guide, both can be found on this forum. I used a WWE ROM and it worked for me without any issues. You should then get any OTA updates as soon as they're released in your region.
Hope this helps.

Hello all,
I'm new to both the forum and Android so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.
I have a HTC Desire Z (Vision) on Vodafone in the UK. Before I consider rooting the device (if I did it would only be to allow me a full backup option) I wondered if anybody knows where I can get the stock unrooted Vodafone rom so that it can be returned to it's original state if need-be?
From what I have been told (and please correct me if I'm wrong), once the device is rooted, a new unmolested rom is required to unroot the device. I have looked high and low on the net but can't find the Vodafone ROM for the Z (The HD and the Desire seem to be findable but not the Z!!).
Thanks ever so much for your help,
Dav
i am also interested in the stock vodafone rom
couldn t find it in the web
and to make a backup from my installed stock rom i need root,
which a only get if i downgrade my rom to a stock without branding .....
It will be practically impossible to get from another User because that stock ROM will only be in the hands of the manufacturers/carriers. This is because users can't NANDroid backup the same way us rooted users do. Anyways, I don't see the manufacturers releasing them any time soon..
hmm .. that means that there is no chance restoring the branded rom for warrenty
(after rooting the device) ???
Is there a vodafone ROM? I have vodafone branded. but there's no sign of any difference between this and the stock HTC ROM.
i have a vodafone boot animation...
and the version number is different from the original htc desire z rom..
Hello all,
I've absolutely loved my Desire HD running Android Revolution but I've just been offered a free upgrade to a better handset. And I need to get it back to stock as soon as possible for warranty purposes. However I neither backed up the ROM nor took down any particulars. So any help you might have concerning the required settings, ROM and radio would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!
PV.
What you need to do is find the Three RUU for your handset, this is probably the quickest and easiest way to return the phone to stock. If you get the Super S-off tool then you will be able to go back to s-on. (unless this was done by the RUU)
The other thing to bear ni mind is that if your RUU installer says that the upgrade is not for your phone then you may need to change the CID from the super CID to Three AU CID.
Good luke
Thanks! Does anyone here have a link to the stock ROM? I'm looking at this one right now but it seems older:

Good news for HTC Desire HD users with the roll out of Android 2.3.3 ‘Gingerbread’ by HTC from today with a staggered release across all users over the next couple weeks.
This means, over the next couple of weeks you’ll get a notification on your smartphone to update to the newer software. So don’t worry if you don’t get the update today.
Details of the release
ROM version: 2.37.178.8 (Vodafone) & 2.37.861.8 (Hutchison)
Radio Version: 12.54.60.25U_26.09.04.11_M2

Hi guys,
I've got a HTC Desire 816 single SIM dutch (nl) a5_ul version running CM11 smoothly.
Only drawback is i can't use 4G with this ROM. I've searched for a 4G capable radio but i couldn't find it anywhere. My guess is that there isn't one available but please correct me if I'm wrong.
That's why i wanted to revert back to stock HTC ROM. I've tried the one posted by jacktackle in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2768846 but i couldn't get it to work on my phone.
Does any of you know how to install the RUU mentioned above or perhaps does someone have a backup of the stock HTC rom NL region that i can use to revert back to standard software?
My CID is e_11.
Thanks a bunch!
Hello, there is something wrong with my M9 and I need to return it to O2. But they won't take it currently as it isn't running their version of the firmware. Can anyone help me out?
Cheers
You cant flash the o2 Firmware on a Europe 401 Device only if its S-OFF.And i think if you unlocked to bootloader you dont have warranty thats how its handled at o2 Germany i work there
