[Q] Driver Problems - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been having problems with Samsung drivers for the last few weeks, but today completely stop working. At this point I cant Odin back the phone because none of my computer will recognize the phone. I have tried XP32, Vista 32 and Windows 7 64.
I can charge the phone and access the SD card..but other that nothing. every time I re-install the driver all I get is this.

My laptop won't detect my G2. My laptop made the "usb device inserted" sound, and my G2 is charging. I've tried both USB debugging on and off.

Is your phone giving you a Mount option ?
I'm having similar problem as well. Phone didn't even give me mount option.
get the drivers....
do a search to find out where to get em.
No mount option.
I plug my baby into my other baby and the phone just charges.
No option to set it to mount the SD card or tether or charge or anything.
And I have indeed googled for the drivers but to no avail.
Any help is much appreciated.

Install pdanet on your computer and when it asks if you want to reinstall drivers select yes. Its the easiest fix so far, i had the same issue when trying to get the g2 to be seen by my win 7 64 box... junefabrics(dot)com/android/

i installed the latest cm10.1 nightly about 2-3 days ago and today when i restarted my gnex this happened :crying:
If OMAPFlash can't help,just open Odin and connect your phone.I was surprised to see my phone recognized in Odin when connect it.I was in same situation.
can you boot into download mode?
That screen is a form of download mode for use with ODIN

Is it fixed yet
flashaholica
sorry that i wasn't active the last days, had rl stuff going on.
anyways, it's not fixed yet and i really can't afford another phone at the moment
anyone knows a fix? ;/
I don't see where you attempted anything to actually fix it....
That screen on Samsung devices is typically an alternate download mode screen. Try Odin. As has been mentioned before...

I'm running windows 8.1 and already been playing around with several drivers, tried to force install some, but no luck either. Does anyone have a solution for this? I saw some people had problems with win8, and others didn't, been looking for something for 2 hours now, would be nice if someone could help out. Thanks! :good:

Windows 8.1 is the culprit dude. win 8 and 8.1 are different. My Gio works with windows 8 but it shows exactly same error MSG on win 8.1
Heh, that really sucks. So weird though. I got no problem with other Samsung devices in DL mode and I thought they all used a similar protocol.
On my way to an internet cafe I guess, hope they don't get mad. :laugh:

Win 10 - PDANet problems with LG G3

Hey all.
I've recently got internet problems here and I've decided to use my phone as a modem, like I've been doing in the past with previous phones.
However, now I got a laptop with Win 10 and an LG G3 phone, and is giving me quite a headache.
Yes, I already uncovered developing options.
No, I have not rooted my phone ((should I?))
Everything runs smoothly until the last part of the installation when this happens:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Ironically, I can open my phone via file explorer no problem, and transfer files back and forth to the internal & SD card folders.
I even transferred the .apk for the PDAnet installation to the phone and installed it there manually... but every time I enable the USB mode it crashes miserably and I have to restart.
Any suggestions? advice?
Many thanks in advance.

You don't need pdanet. Delete it completely, reboot, connect usb, enable usb tethering, let win10 install stock drivers. That's all.
i could do that.
but then sprint will charge me for tethering.
