How hard would it be to hack the camera app, and allow it to use a line in input while in camcorder mode, instead of the internal mic? If anyone could do this, it would make a boy very happy
where is there a line input on the phone?

Headphone jack. According to another poster, voice recorder apps work with a mic plugged into the 3.5mm jack with use of an adapter.

it's become apparent to me that the mods in this forum are not super active
It's good to know that the people who posted in this thread have made this an excuse to post whore, and are actually little gods who have never made a mistake.
Thank you XDA ^^
Hey guys, I recently got a S2x. It's been great, however I've run into a problem today..
I tend to disable 3G/data to save battery and stay on EDGE however this afternoon after I turned on 3G again, my phone just doesn't connect back onto 3G and is stuck on EDGE..
Does anyone have a problems like this?
Wrong forum bud flaming starts soon... nd for data? I say try rebooting then changing it to WCDMA ONLY then if it catches 3G then it should work then switch bsck

Yes wrong place to ask...but before dismissing you away....
Try turning airplane mode on instead, and forget about that data stuff. You shouldn't be having apps that are hungry for updating all the time anyway.
Sorry about wrong forum..
Anyone has any idea though?.. It was worrking perfectly fine until this afternoon when i switched on data again..
No one help him/her.
OP, I don't know what you think of these forums, but rules are to be respected and followed. This is such a basic question that really needs to be in the Q/A section. Period. This section is for development work only, even says so in the title.
It would have been better if you searched for your question, but you didn't even look for the appropriate forum.
/thread end.

Hey its okay you made a mistake dont worry about it. Listen if you look at the top of the development fourm where you posted this it tells you who the moderators are. pm one of them and ask them to move this thread to the q&a fourm. People here are a little touchy when it comes to posting in the wrong fourm because well you know they are perfect and dont make mistakes.

Yup, moved and closed. Asking for 'ETAs' is not encouraged here on XDA, the ROMs come when they come. As others have said, patience.....no need to open up threads to ask.
What is the big difference between the roms contained in these 2 sections? Sorry for being a noob i just dont understand why there are 2 sections. Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development and the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Original Android Development
The roms in the original development section are built from source.
More aosp (less touchwiz).

Thanks Android_Monsters for the quick response.
No, I am just kindly stating if you had taken 5 minutes to read through prior posts instead of cluttering the forum with duplicate questions you would have seen the same member who answered your post had answered this question for someone already

I agree. You can usually find your answer a lot quicker on Google than posting a duplicate thread and hoping someone replies. You also avoid people like abcdefg pointing out the obvious.
Learn to use search. You will be glad you did trust me

Or you could just not complain, stop worrying about board clutter, and give an answer to someone who feels the necessity to ask questions that have been asked so many times it makes people want to gouge their eyeballs out with a soldering iron every time they see them. /sarcasm

People get so butt hurt when you call them out for not even trying to search... Apparently, those of us who would like to have fewer garbage topics asking the same thing are the moderators pets or something.. Eflip88 might remember that from a few days ago
No, the reason people get annoyed about a thousand different threads on the same topic couldn't be because it just makes it that much harder for people who actually WANT to do the legwork and use the search bar.. That couldn't be it...
