I got a blackberry curve and i want to do something to it. i have looked every were and i have found nothing can someone help me out thanks!
Hey I was just wondering if this was just me..but when i boot up the phone on the boot up animation as the colors are doing they're thing, it looks like the screen is a bit pixelated or as if it has oily blotches on the screen. I was wondering if that's normal with the phone or if like i should get it replaced. and than also with that..this is my second phone already..i exchanged my first one cause the usb connector wasnt working, would verizon exchange this one with no problem also?
Only in the boot animation? Are you sure it isn't supposed to look that way?
Yes, the boot animation is a bit rough-looking normally.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
ah alright i wasnt sure if it was supposed to look that way or not..thanks for that merry christmas all!
it's normal, to made the boot animation smoother.
Hated to bump an old thread, but it seemed to be the closest hit.
Just got my GNex from Google Play today. When I turned on the phone for the first time, the animation discussed here appeared to be absolutely vivid and stunning - HD quality. It was quite impressive indeed.
However, after accepting the system update nag it appears grainy and closer to SD quality following the update. It's now feeding my paranoia about everything else I look at.
Other than that, I don't see any other screen issues other than the blue tinge when viewing from indirect angles.
Not sure what all the update did. Looks like I am running Android Version 4.04 and kernel version 3.0.8-gda6252b
Sound normal?
Rooted?

Flash that.
If not...
You can open that .zip...find the bootanimation.zip
and adb push it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip

Not rooted, but possibly heading in that direction. Just getting acquainted for now and making sure I don't need to send it back before I get too intimate with it.
Need to do some more forum searching and start sequencing out a plan. Thanks for your file link, I'll put it with my arsenal.
ok yes i searched i promise lol. So i have a verizon samsung galaxy nexus that was working and now isnt. The phone powers up and I can get into download mode. I am able to access the phone through my computer. and even able to take screen shots which i can then view. So the phones screen is just black and i am out of ideas, i even downloaded the GN toolkit and dinked around in there but im not sure which version of android is on there. So this is my final attempt.. if anyone has any other suggestions. Id appreciate it Thanks.
oh and dont mind my stats on the forum. im on this dam site so much but i have never had a problem i couldnt fix with finding the answers on here.. until now..
When all else fails flash back to stock to verify it's not a hardware issue.

I'm pretty sure it's hardware. Can you see the screen when on bootloader?
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel
I have been on PA since day one on my s2 so I have become pretty familiar with features on this ROM, but I am having a bit of trouble in PAC. I love using tablet UI but for some reason the date is cutting off in my status bar. To anyone else this wouldn't be a big deal but I am a bit ocd when it comes to how my device looks. Anyone please let me know what I am missing or what I need to change to remedy this any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have attached some screen shots.
Hey guys, I hope I'm in the right forum here. I FINALLY got myself a NOTE 4 and I love it. But something caught my eye the other day. My fiancé has a Note as well (AT&T) and whenever she gets a call; she can put her call on hold and then go back to it when she's done. It's like she gets an extra step that we don’t on our phone. I was wondering if anyone had ever tried porting a stock TouchWiz contact dialer from an AT&T/T-Mobile Note 4 over to a Sprint Note 4? Again sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but that little detail seemed kool to me and even though I searched for it, I couldn't find a dialer apk files anywhere. Then again, I don't know if it's even possible. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated, Thanx.
