Incredible 2 but seems like you have an unbranded one [not branded with verizon]

Incredible S is GSM only I believe. Wouldn't work on Verizon

Extended warranty question

Ok I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place but I just got my Droid incredible about 2 months ago. I bought the extended warranty and now that there not selling it anymore can I still get the same phone if something happened to it a few months down the road? Or do I have to get a cheap phone I don't waNt or like?

I believe they're replacing incredibles with moto x, d2, and Samsung fascinate. All a downgrade IMO..

The thing is, the stream of CLNRs in the warranty channel is self-perpetuating and isn't going to dry up anytime soon.
Really depends on if they have any in-stock or not. If they still have them in stock, then you'll get the same one back. Otherwise, like the others said, you're going to get a different phone that's "supposedly" equal value.

WTB: Incredible 2

Tried Swappa. Nothing on there.

My best phone purchases came from my local
Craigslist. However, you gotta complete the deal
at a Verizon store. Even though you may be able
to activate by *228, if you don't have VZN tell you
its good in person, the ESN could be bad. And you're
out about $300 or so....

Thanks for the tip! I wouldn't of thought of that. Are the people at Verizon pretty cool with you taking in a phone that you didn't buy from them and trying to activate it?

Offical ICS OTA for HTC Incredible S CDMA from Taiwan HTC is online

as everyone knows,
HTC S710d = Droid Incredible 2 = HTC Incredible S CDMA
Today, i see HTC Incredible S (Taiwan version) has got ICS 4.0. So I asked Taiwan customer service, they told me ICS for HTC Incredible S CDMA is out today, too.
Now, it's only OTA. If I get RUU, I'll post it for you.

Any new word on this? The incredible s kernel may cure our mistimed flash issues.

No new message now, I said that is "HTC Incredible S CDMA" in Taiwan.

Well, it's goodbye!!!

With a heavy heart I am here to confess I am leaving the world of Vivow... :crying: The waiting game for updates and empty promises from HTC and Verizon both, I have made this decision to sell my Incredible 2 and never look back. With that said, I am also saying farewell to HTC completely. Not enough backing of their current lineup in my opinion. I shouldn't have to upgrade to the latest phone just to get the new build of Sense or latest build of Android. I should also not have to depend on community developers to get what I want. Oh well, it's time to cut the strings.
Dev's.. from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you all for giving us your personal time and effort into developing fun, useful, and up-to-date roms that just make us flash-aholics happy!! You will never be forgotten!!
So long!!:highfive::highfive:

Ah.. those issues if I remember were ROM related.. The phone has always been 100% using stock or CM7/9 ... but it's very picky about what other roms I use.. very strange device I have.. but un-rooted and stock it will be good as new.. cosmetically just a few blemishes and only one 1/4" scratch on the screen... not bad for having it and using it almost non-stop for almost 2 years now.. I have it on eBay but I'm thinking of pulling it.. almost 40 views already and 3 watchers.. unless that grows I'll probably yank it.. maybe.. I don't know..
Any thoughts on what you are hoping to get out of it?

Already got that liquid smooth 4.2.1 on the nexus
Honestly, I think the best way to go would be an unlocked gsm nexus device because Verizon screws even nexus owners with updates. The gsm version already has official 4.2.1 yet us toro (vzw) owners only have official 4.1.1 and have to rely on custom roms for 4.2.1

I've honestly been thinking about dropping Verizon, going pre-paid, and getting an unlocked phone.

HTC One/M7

HTC's announcement for their newest phone is today (in a couple minutes, really). A video was posted as a preview, which you can watch here, but it isn't in English. It's a pretty good looking phone with some decent specs but overall I think HTC just makes some weird decisions. Calling this device the HTC One after they've already released HTC One X/S/V etc. Seems backwards to me.
Anybody possibly going to be moving to this phone after the Inc 2, or for those of you on newer phones like the DNA/Inc 4g will you be jumping ship this early? My upgrade is in July so I'll probably give it a shot but ultimately I think I will end up with the Galaxy S IV (a sure-fire for development down the road, and for straight spec-power) or potentially the rumored Motorola X.
Specs Quick Reference:
4.7" Full HD screen
Snapdragon 600 processor (Quad-Core)
2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage
2,300 mAh battery
4.1.2 Jelly Bean
My next phone will haveto have on screen keys. I was thinking the HTC One but now I'm just hoping the X-phone is real. I fear it'll probably have an amoled display though(not really a fan). I could get past it if everything else was in order.
Hi guys, I just found the HTC One section on xda
Its not linked on the portal yet

No way I would buy another HTC phone. Hoping the Motorola X is real. And that it won't be locked when it comes out. Weary of anything Verizon really. Coverage may force me to stay with them though.

I know that feel.
If Motorola X doesn't work out soon....I'll be on an iPhone
Until Google and Big Red get their sh*t together. Then I'll be back!
I'm just gonna wait till a phone with the Snapdragon 800 is announced. Until then, I think I'll wait. My GS3 is good enough at the moment and the Xperia Z is perfect.
I thought of putting something witty in my signature, but I was too lazy to do it from my GS3.

Thanks for the obvious info Captain Obvious. Unless Verizon releases it on their network, the chances of the One ever being on Verizon is really slim. Although I'm pretty sure most of us already knew that anyways.

That's just speculation at the moment. Verizon might end up doing what they did when the HTC One X first came out. F*ck it up and give it a Droid name. *cough cough Droid Incredible 4G LTE.
