I heard its really buggy and laggy, and i found an app which is quite nice.
I think you should try it out: Quickpic (search it in the market)

I agree, I cant stand this coolris or whatever the name is. Its definitely not an original Google app - it looks cool, but the payoff is performance degradation
I also noticed some bugs, i.e. duplicate albums.. anyone else has the same issue?
I would also like an alternative to gallery 3D. It doesn't play gifs either.

it would be great for me too to have a faster gallery, just as it was' HTC's. just cannot stand the 3D one, too slow for my 590pix. and do not want to delete in order to have it faster...
I have the CM 6.1 RC4 Rom flashed and I cannot stand the 3D gallery. It's horrendous and some apps that I install, have their pictures (yahoo fantasy app comes with LOTS of subway pictures). It's a headache and I just wish I had the HTC stock gallery which lets you "hide" folders in the media.
Is there another gallery app that I can use or can the HTC gallery be used without its ROM?
I know people might suggest doing the .media file/folder naming, but doesn't that effect the app that requires some of these images that im hiding from the gallery?
Since I flashed my i9000 with Darky 10.5, my gallery is very slow between pictures... Someone told me to install a deodexed version of the 2.3.3. gallery app
Here's the vidéo I made. As you can see:
-Not so smooth to load pictures
-at the end of the video: it takes time to load 2 littles albums.
And the switch between picture (not shown on video) is also very slow sometimes I've got black screen then 1-2seconde after I got the picture. I tried with Justepictures and everything is OK!

Hi, it's a well known problem of 2.3.3 , i got a deodex rom but it's slow and lag
maybe could help EXT4, but i didn't try
if you want, you can try multitouch gallery, from market, very fast and zoom full size picture.

Use quickpic app. I gave up on the stock gallery months ago. Quickpic rocks.

Try Floating Image app from the market. For me it's one of the best.
So to summarize, is the problem related to the 2.3.3 ROM or the custom rom itself?

I have a problem with my pics. When i open my photos i have a very very very bad quality view. What could be the problem?
It isn t a real quality because when i open pics on pc i view files perfect. I have this problem only with cyano 7.2, when i had sense no. Please help me
That gallery is slow. If you wait for some time it should become clear. But if you don't want to wait, use another gallery app from the market. I use Quickpic.

it maybe sounds silly, but the Samsung Gallery App is the best Gallery App I've ever used. So now I have a OnePlus 3 with CyanogenMod 13 as ROM and I want to have Samsungs Gallery App on my new Phone. Is this possible? I haven't found a way to do it. I'm happy about every good meant answer!
