You probably have stagefright enabled, disable it in CF Tweaks. Also this should be in Q&A.
If any one can pls guide me why this error is coming i would be very thankfull...rather than worrying abt the wherabouts of this thread ....

Try flashing stock gingerbread using odin. Flash the right boot loaders before you flash the firmware.

The files encoding is probably not suited to the player. Try using vplayer etc to play them if not then its most likely the files your trying to play are not compatible with the phones hardware.

The point is the files which are giving this error...used to play perfectly earlier in the stock media player...so it cant be the file error..

Hi,
Before I rooted my Desire mp4 playback of 720p videos was smooth, now after rooting, no matter what custom rom I have the playback is never smooth.
Could did be due to rom having certain parts on the sd-ext?
If so what could I do to move the parts needed back to the internal memory, I already used titanium backup to move the view video to internal and no difference. Any ideas?

didn´t work, do I need to install a player aswell, or is the stock player ok?
could have something to do with your sd card or custom rom, try to see if it works with rooted stock rom. If it does, it is probably rom related

Saw this on the cm10 thread, you could try it. If you would you let us, or at least me, how it is?
I wouldn't flash it because it's for the international but you should be able to copy the files over
EDIT: DO NOT FLASH! ! ! ! IF YOU'RE GOING TO USE IT MANUALLY COPY THE FILES OVER OR YOU WILL BRICK

Is there a way to extract the apk and .libs from Viper4Android? It's not much detail to insert here. I'm sure everyone knows what V4A is. It's a necessity to have! I'm only limited to one ROM that has successfully cooked this mod into the system.
Can someone either come up with a .zip to flash or point me to the right direction so I can create one?
Thanks!

Maybe I'm not being clear....
I want to know:
1) if there is a .zip update that I could flash to incorporate V4A in any ROM
Or
2) if someone could assist me in locating the necessary .libs from the ROM that has V4A working correctly
I've searched and didn't see a .zip for this mod.

Screw you buddy!! I searched on google (usually I don't search google for a .zip to flash. Soft bricked a phone because of unreliable sources) and found it easily. lol.. thanks
I'm going to update the OP if anyone else is looking for it on XDA. There isn't a .zip update ANYWHERE on here lol.
Thanks a lot!

FYI, its maintained by a member here on XDA and he updates the post on the main android forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39156703
There is also a video of how to install it on the main page of xda.
