I have a good friend who decided to help me out and do some custom painting.
The paint is very low odor and after about 48 hours, there is hardly any lasting odor of the paint. Each door will be custom painted once the order is placed.
There is a purple, white, hammered copper, hammered silver, and a rubber black.
The rubber black is quite nice in that you could set on your dash and it does not slip easily, unless you drive like me
I am working on a glow in the dark cover as well. That should be done this week sometime. The first attempt did not go well and showed some markings that honestly I was not happy with.
What are your thoughts?
mmm... i got a blue evo door from there. Arrived with a bunch of the tabs broken. Oh, and with a scratch.
nice selections! i ordered clear n yellow before and fits very well. at first had some minor problems but with directions provided, it was easy. i may be interested in the rubber black. glow in the dark sounds..fun
Anybody try RIT Dye? Worked like a charm on the touch pro...
i think the paint jobs on these look amazing.
however
with absolutely no offense to joey, who spent a lot of time designing and working on the case, they have a sizeable gap between the new back and the case. its isn't too big but it is big enough to let dirt/dust/pocket lint, etc, into the phone and for that i cant get any of these.

you should send me a picture of the tabs so I can send you another one. As for the scratch, thats odd because they all come in plastic wrap and a bubble envelope.
I would buy them all of they didn't have the rail or center strap hole.

Also no offense to Joey but I had to steer clear of these because of the gap. Active lifestyle with my phone living in my pocket means lots of dust and lint to contend with. If something changes and these gaps get fixed up, I will be on board for several of these doors.

The case I tried was a gel type case, it worked good over the door.
So is there plans for a new door? Same stuff without rails or center lip and no gaps? I would also like red without the shiny finish. Something like stock black's material would be perfect. Your doing well from the looks of it.

short answer is no. no way I could afford a remold of the door. If you remember, we (XDA members) all pulled our resources and did a group pre-buy.

Bought one of your Hand Hammered silver backs and a free blue cover.
Already have a couple of clear, one I etched and painted - other is virgin on my BF's evo.
BTW - you can make some adjustments to the clips to make it fit near perfect.
pretty sweet dude, i wouldnt mind giving mine a paint job one of these days
Alright guys, I got this case as its been popular in the comunity and wanted to give it a try...this case is absolutely gorgeous...looks great, feels great and seems to be one of the most protective cases out there that lets you keep the slick look of the device BUT the bad outweights the good... my main concern were the buttons..I got into a couple of rage moments and i believe I developed new muscles in my thumb from trying to press the on/off screen.
Watch the video and make your own decision
Hope this helps you guys!

Just commented on your other video haha. You just go out and buy a million cases? Haha. But if you put a piece of paper where the volume buttons and where the power button is. It will help out making them easier to press. Just fyi
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
I have this case and with extended use the button areas do get softer.
Quality is top notch. And in terms of slipperyness.. its not as bad as glossy cases but definitely does not stick like rubber. This is actually a good thing because when its in your pocket it glides of easy.
Sent from my SGH-T989
yes..its impossible to disagree that the quality is just amazing..cant match it at all ,and the look is just plain great..but for the price tag I really expected a little more R&D and not having to do work arounds to use them comfortably

haha! negative, I get them as gifts or people send them to me to review them and to write an honest opinion..thats why you dont see me lying about the case hehe.
Yeah the paper thingy does work ,but my point was like after normal people (not us phone junkies) get the case, they have to do something else to make it work. And after paying 35 dollars thats just isnt fair . Now if people picked them up for free or shipping only..it hella worth it
I wish they come with a revision because if they do That will be the case i would be sporting for good
Despite the quirks, I can say that the case works. I was climbing stairs in an apartment complex, and my phone covered with this case, fell out of my pocket and dropped about 12 feet in height. Whew.. Thank goodness for this case, it survived... Very happy that I spent money on this case.
thats a mortal drop dude!!!! im glad the phone survived! yeah its a great protective case...again if they fix that little issue it ll b a winner for sure!

and lets send it to D3o themselves hehehe
I got the all black one, and of course was before this video was posted...
What I ended up doing was taking an exacto blade and cutting along the wide parts of the buttons near where the mold for each one starts. The buttons now press with ease and the cuts are not visible.
I tried the deal with the paper under the buttons first, but it made the buttons too easy to press, they phone kept getting turned on in my pocket.
how easy was cutting around?
cutting through was easy, you just don't want to cut all the way around the button.
You only cut the longest sides of the buttons. There was an illustration somewhere in regards to the same thing.

I love this case! I have the 2 tone black back and gray front. This may sound crazy, but I'm thinking about taking it to a skate shop and having grip tape installed on the back part.
Nice review, a bit long though to make your point. I have this case and its really nice. I personally love it. I don't mind the button issue though, I have adapted. It does get a bit annoying at times, but that's only when flashing Roms in CWM. I feel perfectly safe and not afraid to drop my phone. I feel the more careless I am the less I tend to drop it. I bought mine online for $14 so it was a great deal.
There is enough hate in the world. Why can't we all get along here ...?
Usually my reviews are the same length and I try to attack the same points so I can have uniformity.
I love the case and after modding it it def went up in my book however the average Joe user won't know how to mod the case

ive also had the case since basically it came out and it has also developed multiple cracks on the back. one runs from the usb port up about an inch, and others are where the buttons are, though smaller. this might be from taking it off and on every once in a while.
sighs. i have a spare one in black though, but i like this white one.
I have had mine now for 3 weeks and I love the case and hate the buttons. I am going to try the mod and see if that helps. The buttons are the only bad thing about this case.

Hey guys,
So a week ago i was planning on painting my car mirrors..but I didnt know if i was gonna like it...so I was looking for a cheaper solution...
On diferent car forums I found about this PLASTIDIP thing...so I went to hom depot and for 5 bucks picked me a can
Plastipid is actually like rubberising a surface...best part ITS NOT PERMANENT!!! so if i ever get bored i can remove it like removing glue from your hand
I decded to expand the use of it to my case..and man it looks AWESOME!..no more sliding ..super grippy and if u need a retouch just simply spray another coat
not sure how long it ll last but with a can u can do like 30 cases.. Enjoy!
This works also on phones as well ..BUT be very careful blocking everything from the front part..I would only do the back cover of it if anything
PD im not responsible if you mess up your phone/case
Here some people applied that to their winter wheel and it lasted the whole winter and it's still perfect so I wouldn't be afraid on the case.
That's a great idea, I might do that.

Here we only have the standard color like black, blue, red and clear. And its expensive 15-20$ per can. Ill have to buy some from US

Did a small drop test .no scratches on the case and it did a different sound when hitting the ground (due the rubberized texture )
I left the phone on my car by accident at 85 degrees here in Vegas...came back and phone was cool ..so the thingy helped with heat absorption ..

Nice review. I'm enjoying mine after a week and a half. Weird question: do you notice that the screen protector seems to shift around slightly? Sometimes mine is perfectly centered, then when I look at it later it's very clearly too far to one side? And eventually it shifts to the other side or re-centers itself. Either my finger swipes are causing it to slide around or I'm hallucinating!
I just installed this today. Very easy install went on perfect first time. Just have to get used to my fingers not sliding across the screen as well. It's super clear tho can't even really tell it's there unless you are looking for it. Nice sp.

Feels just like that glass to me. I think you'll see the initial resistance wears off quickly.
If mine didn't scratch so easily, this would be a great product.

The initial friction you feel goes away and it feels and looks smooth as glass.. I've had mine on for a week and a half now, these things are great. Also, to the guy who said it is sliding around, either you did not install it correctly or you are REALLY putting some pressure into your swipes (even then I don't see these things moving). I have used Steinheill protectors for years, once they are down, they do not move! You are hallucinating.
I just put one on my GS3. Have to admit, its awesome once on. I've had to double check multiple times to make sure its actually there.
Getting it to separate from the back and front covers it ships with was a challenge. I ended up wasting one of the three in the package, but got a good install on my second attempt. Paired mind with a diztronic tpu case. So far no issues -- let's see how it fares long-term.
Does this screen protector have cut outs for the sensors and the camera or is it one solid piece?

It doesn't cover from edge to edge but covers the usable portion of the screen. Tbh u can't even really tell it's there and if u have a case it covers the edge of the screen protector (at least with my case it does).

you are nowhere near a point where you should be showing off. get at least some semblance of a finished product, then come back.
doing a mod that allows you to keep a stylistic part (the draco) by making the device look like something scrounged from junk, is silly. and that is where it is as of now.

I'm not showing off. If you go through these threads just to bash on people, its not appreciated. If you actually read it. I wrote "WORK IN PROGRESS" and im pretty sure once i finish dremeling it and sanding it with rounded edges it'll look decent enough.
I just finished sanding. Can anybody give me any suggestions on how to make the corners cleaner? Is silicone a good option? I can't sand it down anymore or I would go through the plastic since I used a thin one to use NFC

Hey dude, get some automotive body filler. Should clean it up nicely. Model car putty should work too but i think the automotive filler will hold up better to getting hit. . Tape off the area you dont want to get the stuff on, Lay it on, than sand it, than id suggest spray painting the stuff to protect it, than it will look good.
Do a search on model car putty to get an idea of what it does.
