The earpiece speaker in my Desire has started buzzing and I'm looking to replace it. There are plenty available on-line but I'm struggling to find a guide before I start.
Has anyone done this? How easy is it, and will I need any soldering or are they just push fit?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
just wondered if you were able to change the ear piece and if so, did it fix the buzzing sound?
The reason I ask is because I have a similar problem

Hey everyone, first off let me thank you in advance for any help; this forum has helped me immensely with past problems with my phone.
My current problem seems to be that there is a problem with the microphone. Whenever there is an outgoing or incoming call on my phone, the other person on the line cannot hear me. I have tried using speakerphone, I have opened up the phone and the microphone seems to be firmly attached to the motherboard, and I have tried flashing to another rom, but nothing has solved the problem.
Currently, I am running 3VO.3.00.112509
Any suggestions or advice?
I appreciate your time.
Chris
Dear friends, does someone have spickerphone fix as a cab?
Thank you in advance.
What speaker phone fix are you looking for? too loud? too quiet? Automatically turns on when you flip it over in call?
If your looking for a Max Speaker phone output?
It's in this ROM thread. Check the links provided for addons.

Thanks man, Thanks sergio.
This speaker phone fix does not work, my speakerphone wont work untill i turn it on of several times..
The ear speaker stopped working a few days ago, whenever I make or get a call, no sound whatsoever comes from the phone. I've had the phone for five months, and didn't drop it, so I'm not sure why this occurred. I tried resetting the phone, flashing the RUU, and installed a custom ROM. Nothing worked, so it's most likely a hardware issue. I tried putting the headphones on and off, but it didn't work. The external speaker + headphones are working just fine.
Are there any alternative solutions other than sending it for repair? Also, does anyone know how much would it cost to fix it?
Thanks.

Same problem for me, it stated by low volume from the ear speaker during some calls, then i lost the ear speaker sound during the call, even that the ear speaker works with the loudspeaker when i switch to loud, and it gives the sound of the tone while dialing, but no sound in the call. I tried to use other ROMs and radios. but same problem.
Any help please
I got the same issue going on... you figure anything out?
(also i didnt check the date on this thread before posting sorry if this is really old ha)
Hello
One of my friends has just bought a HTC Wildfire S.
It is not rooted or anything else. It is just as he bought it. But he now has the problem, that the voice comes out of the speaker everytime someone calls him. In the call he can switch to the earspeaker, but it is frustrating, that the voice as standard comes out of the speaker.
It was not like that when he bought it, but it is now because he pressed something he doesn't know.
I know how to use android, but I just can't find any settings where I can change it. My question is how I can set it back to sound out of earspeaker as standard
Can you help me?

Hi,
have you tried restoring phone to factory settings? It fixes many problems. I had a problem with Wi-Fi,after restoring it works fine.
Hello, i have microphone problem on my M8.
HTC One M8 has 2 microphone you know. On the front( Main microphone ) and at back.
My microphone which on the front isn't working but my second microphone which on the back is working properly.
If i open the speaker, my second microphone which is on back is working during the calling.
So i have a question for you... Can i solve this problem without repair my microphone?
I have a suggestion for developers. Can you change the main microphone with a software or some special settings ?
If we make the main microphone the second one (on the back), we can solve this i think.
So, thanks for everything...

Not sure that's possible mate the back mic is used for noise cancellation during a call afaik , I'm not aware of any mod to accomplish what your asking, unless mixerpaths has anything in it that may bypass the main mic, i can ask around to see if something might be possible for you but i can't promise anything unfortunately a repair might be your only option, although a Bluetooth earpiece might suffice it would be an easier option for you mate.

If you know anything about editing mixerpaths i think there would be the place to start.
