Flash player? - HTC Wildfire S

Market says our phone doesn't support flash player :'(

That's true, our phone has ARMv6 cpu and flash player requires an ARMv7 cpu. But the phone has a flash lite player installed.

Damn it. That suck so we ain't getting the full flash?

Go download an apk of the full flash, runs perfect. Got it on my phone and its great.

Wow, please share

Guys, I think I'm going crazy. I've tried all flash variants available on Internet, the one for X10 mini, for 2.1, for ARM v6 devices, nothing works on my Wildfire S. Tried Opera mobile, Opera mini, Dolphin HD, Dolphin Mini, Maxthon, Stock browser. Opera mobile is the only one that gave me a 'Play' button but after I click that button it freezes. Please, someone that has flash working on their Wildfire S, try this link http://creativemonkeyz.com/roboti/robotzi-s01-ep24-berila/ , it's a video on that page and I can't run it on my Wildfire S. Tried on my iPhone, works perfectly, tried on Nokia C7, works perfectly and it also works on Galaxy S but on my Wildfire S it won't run at all.
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think Vimeo uses Flash for their videos. Tried on mine and don't work but any other flash site does.

so imlgl, can u post your apk file please_? there are a lot of different non-worked versions.
thanks

dont know why, but it's not working for me. i tried for example yahoo movies and similar sites
any suggestion?

I dunno, if they dont work that means it wont work on any device.

can you watch flash video inside browser page? (yahoo movies or youtube in desktop mode otherwise - in mobile view- it will use youtube player). If yes, maybe is because you have rooted your phone. otherwise I can not see why on same hardware flash player works random depending on luck. ARMv6 internet specs has support only for flash lite.

Was using flash inside my browser before I was rooted. Btw flash doesn't work within opera mini. I use the standard browser.

I know about opera mini, I use only built-in android browser and I can see flash animations on different websites but impossible to watch embedded flash video.

imlgl,
thanks for posting the link, but I'm not sure what to do with it now.
I unzipped it expecting to find an APK, but I didn't.
Are there any install instructions or does anyone else have a working apk?
Thanks in advance

You don't unzip it because that is the .apk you downloaded. Just put it on sd card and use es file explorer to find it and install it.

Update:
Have uninstalled flash now, and I'm still able to access daily motion & youtube on Dolphin HD & opera Mobile.
I guess these use flash lite.

Flash Player 10.1 Confirmed working

Yeah apk which is posted on forum tested working on my Galaxy S. Now browsing with flash.
Were can I find the apk? Thanks.
Are you sure it's not the Flash Lite 3.1 that is working?
http://galaxys.samsungmobile.com/specification/spec.html?ver=low
Here it states that SGS comes with it, not sure Flash 10.1 has overriden it.
APK Here its posted on Evo forums
Its 10.1.
Try it
wow if this is true it is amazing, i dont actually need to wait for 2.2 to come out
Thanks for the link.
couldnt get it to work, tried youtube.
It doesn't work.
Edit: Used Astro Apps manager to uninstall. But before that, tried to launch it directly. A popup message said that Activity not found.
Went to check @ www.whatismyflash.com, and it stated clearly no flash was installed.
Didn't work for me either :-(
Wow for a second I thought that it really will work and I dont need 2.2..... check it before posting false info -.-
whatismyflash does work for me though.. Also some sites seem to work, but not all.
enable/allow plugins or flash from your phone's default browser
yup,try that. afterwards try accessing a flash website.
this might help you enable flash in galaxy s.
"whatismyflash"
After checking this site it detects my flash a 9.xx.xx
im using the stock browser, do i need to power off after installing flash 10.1?
hmmmm...
not really. after enabling plugins from the browser settings.. went to youtube straight away and watch some videos straight from the browser.. and played some amazing puzzle games at eyemaze website.
some websites that require 10.xx.xx flash and other websites doesn't seem to load.. for the reason.. don't really a clue.

I am also Galaxy S user.. i also install adobe flash 10.1.. also cannot work..
check with Whatismyflash.com ot show Flash player 9.1.xx not 10.1.
How you make it to work?
Doesnt Work
This is my first android phone and not sure how much write access the installers have to the system on the i9000 but...
I have just installed the APK and still get flash player 9 which is the pre-install lite.. (apk is stored in /system/apps/flashlite)
/system/ looks to be readonly and cannot be overwritten unless you have root access.
not sure but this could be why its not working.
Might be worth someone with root access testing.
Can someone check is justin.tv works woth this?

Yeah, wrong section. This would be a Q&A thread. Anyways, the best way to fix it is to do a factory reset. There are some problems reported after running the update without wiping, so definitely wipe to make sure everything is working.
remove adobe flash and reinstall it. works perfect afterwards

Anyone have the exact name .apk of the flash player so I can delete it via root explorer?
Fix
EDIT: Mkay if your getting problems with Flash player, set your cache on your browser to the second highest under 8MB, then install the flash.apk from here, and boom! Working flash

[Q] Playing Shockwave Flash .dcr files

I have a .dcr file of a flash game, but the phone doesn't seem to be able to play it. When embedded on a website, nothing will show up (even with flash player installed).
I don't think the official flash player supports .dcr files. Is there any way I can get this to work on my xperia play?
Regards

People, preview posts before posting, gosh.
And no. Every "Flash Player"/"SWF Player" on the market just put your flash on a html file and use a browser and standard Flash Player plugin to render it just like in stock browser.
On the other hand, I can't help you but tell you to wait for a better solution (on the forums or just google it).

.dcr is not a flash, is a shockwave director files, it's made by Adobe Director, it's like flash .swf but NOT a flash. you can google "shockwave director plugin for android", but I guess it doesn't exist.

Flash player on our Note 2 in under 3 minutes. No root needed.

Excuse me if this has been posted already I searched and couldn't find anything. I was able to find a link showing how to get flash player up and running on the Galaxy Note 2. I don't take credit for any of this I just came across the link, and tried it on my phone as well as my girlfriend and it works flawlessly. The only problem is it does not work with Google Chrome, it only works with the stock internet browser. Click this link

Make sure you go to page one, the first post.
And then download the APK, install and you're good to go. Remember it only works with Internet Explorer not Chrome, and again I apologize if this has been posted. My girlfriend and I are not rooted so we're on stock roms and it works flawlessly. Good luck and have fun

Not sure what you mean it only works on Internet Explorer since there's no IE on android. I've done this before, it's it's pointless since I use chrome as my main default browser all the time.

He means the stock browser, but yes, it only works on that. Chrome does not support flash at all.

I meant the stock internet browser. And I use Chrome all the time too, but if I need flash I just use the stock browser now. This post is for people who want flash and don't know how to get it. Not everybody uses chrome (and this is not pointless to those who need flash like myself. My business website has flash on it so I times I need flash on my phone) many people still use the stock browser, and I'm sure people who do you Crome all the time like myself, if they need flash they will go back to the stock browser now that they know how to get flash when flash is needed.
