I am customizing the stock 4.24.651.1 rom with dsaxda Kitchen. I would like to get rid of the stock htc music, htc music widget and use winamp instead.. I would like to have the winamp 4x2 widget that is built into the winamp apk replace the htc music widget on the home screen. Is there a way to find the name of the built in winamp 4x2 widget and insert it into the /system/customize/mns/default.xml file? If this is the wrong place, please move it to the proper forum. any help would be appreciated.

Just noticed that there is no music widget for the stock player!
Anyone know where to get it, market doesn't have anything?!

MIUI Music Player works nicely, and has a widget - love the lyrics downloading on that.
Ended up using music mod from the market, modified stock player with widgets . Cheers for suggestions!

Thanks for the suggestion! juz found a themed one here at xda and its no doubt one of the best looking ones around.
Btw does anyone come across a decent 2x2 music widget apart from playerpro?
Give poweramp a shot, it has lot of widget options plus a lockscreen widget. The lockscreen widget basically used the player as your lock screen wallpaper letting you change songs without turning off the lockscreen.

Saw other people recommended that one as well. Will try out the free version thanks=)
There's also Music Timer, which gives you a widget which works with the stock app...
Since the Samsung music player can also read folders, it's real shame they didn't make a little widget to go with it..
*edit: for those interested, I just found you can create a basic widget for stock music player with widgetsoid..
what music widget are you guys using?
also, what is a widget that looks like the one in sense or closest to sense?
anybody? lol
I use google music beta even though there's alot of better options out there. I used google music beta because my evo 4g didn't have much space. I might just stop being lazy and store some music on my new phone and use a better music player. Doubletwist or maybe even PowerAmp anyone?

It is bizarre sammy removes the widget. You can perform all the widget functions in the notification bar though.

Can anyone recommend a music control widget, preferably with album art and large that works with the stock HTC music player? Using Nova launcher but can't seem to find any.

have you tried the full screen one that came with sense?
Erm, Sense widgets only work with Sense Launcher. I'm using Nova.

I was forced to buy "Pure Music Widget" for that same sole purpose.
It functions as your (maybe)any stock music player to your launcher
I've looked around and can't find it.
Is there a way to have the clock/weather widget from the Galaxy S 3 on our GNex's?
I like the images and cleanness from the widget and would love it on my current setup
thanks in advance, any help and or suggestions greatly appreciated

I'm looking for simply the clock/weather widget.
I use Nova Prime and don't want to change launchers or use all the functions and features I've got with Nova.
Is the widget dependent on touchwiz framework? Perhaps there is an independent .apk of the weather widget?
I am going to look for a themed UCCW widget.
Thanks for pointing that link out though

I was able to find this finally... I am downloading and will report back how it looks on the gnex

Edit: I couldn't get the background images to ever display correctly after importing the uzip.... everything was as it should have been. Shame, looked like a keeper.
The search continues!

Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the shortcut for the default S3 weather widget? Instead of it directing you to Accuweather, I would prefer that it opens up Weatherbug.
Why don't you just place the weather bug widget on your screen instead of the stock one?

Thanks ... I would use the weather bug widget, but it doesn't have the clock built in. I also considered using Fancy Widgets which is similar to the HTC interface ... I just liked the way the stock one looked and was hoping there was a way.

Yeah would be nice also if you touched the clock it would take you to your alarm or other alarm app and when you touch the weather it would open whatever weather app you wanted. One thing i miss about HTC is there widgets nothing else compared IMO
Hd Widgets isn't like the stock clock widget but it's highly customizable and 2 set ups look like the sense clocks. From the original evo is one and the other is from the new Evo 4G lte
Also weather services include accuweather, weather bug, and weather underground. I've made posts about changing the provider on the stock clocks and usually don't get a reply saying someone knows how so I just use a 3rd party one
thanks look good keep up great work
Thanks for the follow up ... I am going to check out HD Widgets ... it looks similar to the version included on the EVO
I use it and love it. You will not be disappointed.
I am using it now and agree ... very very cool!!
