Hey there a little advice if you will, ive got a HTC Desire S and i am running Gingervillan 2.0 rom which ive had for a while now but recently the phone keeps re-booting itself, sometimes it gets quite hot 38-39 degrees when im using it quite alot (music and web mostly) but it reboots now even when its cool 30 degrees.
Anyone had anything similair?

As i encountered this problem on 3 different (non stock) roms decided to ask for help.
Every time I use my 3g connection e.g. streaming music, thethering or navigate with gmaps my device turns very hot within ca10 min. and reboots after a while.
Did not have this issue with stock 2.1 but perhaps this is related to the lower outside temp a few weeks ago.
Anybody with the same problem?
Any ideas for solution?

Hi everyone,
both my wife and I own a HTC Desire (AMOLED). My wife has had the following problem for a while on her unrooted, stock-ROM Desire:
Every now and then the Handy will suddenly restart (show the HTC boot logo) when using Navigation apps. No matter if Google Maps Navigation or other navigation software. Sometimes, this happens after some seconds, sometimes after an hour or so.
No problems so far with my desire.
Last month, I rooted/s-off'ed both devices, did a full wipe and complete fresh install of all apps of both devices, both running on InsertCoin 1.1.4 now.
On this occasion, I also updated Radio ROM of both phones to 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23 (latest Version so far, I think).
Some days later, my phone now also randomly crashes on GPS navigation use. Both run stable, as long as we do not use GPS navigation.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
It's usually an overheating issue that needs HTC to swap the mainboard

Thanks for your reply, though it's sure not what I wanted to hear (actually, what I wanted to hear is something like "push this button and your problem will be solved", but it's not what I expected .
(On overheating: The phone did never crash on other occasions when becoming warm. After a reboot, when restarting navigation, it does not crash again immediately but may work for hours...not too typical for an overheating problem, is it?)
I think I'll wait 'till spring 2012 and get some Ice Cream Sandwich thing then ;-)
You know the desire has a 2 year warranty though, right??
Hey fellas,
So I have came upon the dreaded lag of death. I was opening up my messaging app and the phone froze and said "messaging has stopped". So I hit ok which should close the application, instead it sent me into a spiral of issues that amounted to "System Process Failure" which in turn forced the phone into a bootloop and now it has begun to stay at the HTC screen. I flashed the .312 radio a few weeks ago so I am thinking thats the underlying issue but I do not know. I am running the PAC rom safe version due to this same issue I had on kangdemnation v.5.
Appreciate the help in advanced fellas.
I don't have a fix, but here are a few notes. (currently using 320 radio and Evervolv rom, other roms may act differently but I've used Evervolv since it was available)
I always get Lag of Death within 24 hours after I overclock. I have gone weeks or months without any issues then I OC and I get Lag of Death
Whenever I get Lag of Death I reboot into recovery (4ext currently) make a nandroid Backup, SuperDuperWipe, then Restore the nandroid and everything works. Sometimes I will get Lag of Death one more time, but usually it works without a hitch.
I'm now on the 2/23 Evervolv Nightly and it works great and I will not be overclocking
I have no idea how to OC haha I just installed the PAC with aroma tweaks and thats the one I love to use but keep getting this damn issue.
Lol, that endless boot loop ended up killing my DInc2. Hopefully your phone doesn't end up like my DInc2.

Hi all
lately for the past like 3 months my phone would reboot by itself for reason i really can't explain and it usually happens when i am browsing(stock , chrome or opera ) it always reboots
i was using paranoid android with franco kernel a few months ago when this issue started happening ,initially it keeps rebooting like mad and not long after my computer can't detect it when it's plugged in
i got so frustrated that i looked up for a vid to hard reset my phone to 4.3 stock from google
and thus the issue was solved for like a week
it was all fine and good , then one day i was browsing and it reboots , my heart sank , i was scared the issue would come back and it did , now my phone reboots in the music player , and occasionally in my mp3 downloader and i REALLY DONT KNOW WHY!! i din't root or anything i left it vanilla ...
and when it reboots the battery gets really really hot ...
so is this a software issue? or hardware? is there any solutions?
Hello everyone,
My HTC One M8 keeps freezing, goes way slow and is just becoming unbearable. It's to the point that I'm looking to buy a new phone, because it's obnoxious. This started happening maybe a month or so ago and I can't figure out why it's happening. Anyone else have this issue? It makes it almost impossible to use Google Maps or certain applications. I literally have to wait sometimes 30 seconds for it to fully load, where it might actually just crash.
I decided I'd root the phone after I was on stock OTA for so long, when it started happening. I put SkyDragon on it, but it's still happening. Could it just be the hardware in the phone is going bad now or something else?
Any advice would help.
