Wandering around Best Buy looking for a case for my wife's phone, I stumbled upon the Droid/Droid2 dock on special for $19.99. I don't have one yet so I decided to give it a go for this handy station. When it rang up at the register, the total was only $7.99. I bought two, one for home and one for work.
So anyone looking for a dock, check your local Best Buy. At $7.99 it can't be beat.
The car dock was also on special for $24.99. I don't need one, but if it rings in at a similar difference (about $12) it would also be a steal.
Best buy mobile had the multimedia dock for the og droid (that works with the droid 2) for $5. This was back in april.

I have the WiFi xoom. Today I went to the Verizon store to get a charger for my xoom and the camera connectivity cable (USB Host Cable). The guy kept trying to sell me a usb charger and swore it would work. He also couldn't find the cable in the system because it wasn't listed as an official xoom accessory in the verizon system. After I laughed derisively at him I went to best buy where they had an endcap of 6 xoom accessories. The cable I was looking for (now only 19.99, heck yeah), the dock (49.99, much better), keyboard 2 cases and a screen protector.
OK so six isn't a lot of accessories but since six is greater than zero best buy sadly won my business. Plus the verizon rep there actually knew **** about the xoom (if they know what rooting is you are talking to the right guy).
So my question is, to avoid all this nonsense in the future, where do you all go or buy from (if online)?
Try eBay and Amazon that charger at best buy I got for 28.00 new. The gel case I got for 6 new and got a knockoff stand case leather for 15 and it works great.

I have a hard time trusting auction sites. I like Amazon, but sometimes I like instant gratification.
Yeah I have that same problem but all the items I bought came up to 55.00 2 cases and a charger. I like saving money as much as gradification. Plus I pay with pay pal so your protected.

I just posted a thread for 3 styluses for $1.29 here, if that helps.
Not sure if this is old news or not but just got the keyboard for 35 and charging dock for 25 at bestbuy. Enjoy

This was posted earlier, but we appreciate the thought. I went in on the second day and bought a dock, but it's truly as bad a design as I'd read (and hoped wasn't quite true) so I ended up returning that junk. I hope your experience is better. On a desk, docking in the light facing the Xoom I'm sure it's not bad. But for my, trying to dock it on my headboard in the dark was almost impossible...
The keyboard, for $35, is a great deal. I bought one for $70 and don't regret it for a second.
I like the dock just because I feel like it has a safe home now. Not that I'd ever loose it however when I go to sleep at night if I dock it I won't step on it in the floor or knock it off the table. Plus it's a good stand and for $25 you can't go wrong. The keyboard is what I really wanted though being in college and all. Anyone recommended a nice cheap silicone case that will fit the adapter in the dock?

Thanks for the heads up. I'm heading there on my lunch break to buy a dock and hack it up this weekend for the extra port mod.
For those that want a dock, or just the piece that pops into the front of the HDMI dock (for the GT7). Literally sold my GT10 yesterday; I'd buy one right now just for the plastic piece.

Probably my last post in this forum by the way. It's been a fun year (*found my receipt dated 7/30/11). Got the nexus 7 and I honestly can't imagine turning back. The GT10 is a great tablet and will be for some time; I just can't spend all of my time flashing ROMs on 2 devices! Anyways, enjoy your tablets, especially now that you'll have working cameras within a few days!
thanks for the link. price is very good.
is this site legit? 4.95 seems almost too good...

LOOOL. HHgreg is legit. xD :good:
my local store had two of them. bought them both. still need one more. the guys at the counter were annoyed that they had no idea of the price. so i feel kinda lucky they were there.
the downside... there is no charger. so they expect me to use the short three foot cord that came with the tab. that thing barely reaches from the plug straight up on a table.
anyone know the difference between the multimedia Desktop Dock in the OP with (Model: D1B1BEGXAR)) versus the this one (Model: EDD-D1B1BEGSTA) sold on amazon. They both seem to be for Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 original. I remember the Original galaxy 10.1 was thicker before the US version of the 10.1 came out. no way of telling if this is the case here.
I missed out on this awesome deal. No longer available in my area nor am I able to order online and ship to Washington DC.seems to be sold out or in-store only if available.
Thanks,
Nice deal but how about shipping to germany... ?
anyone know if i can get this one to africa ?
This is great, its only $3.82 now w/o shipping! I bought the media adapter from the original tab 7, which had hdmi, was just proping up the tab 10.1 with a piece of wood behind it, now I can buy this and just use the plastic base piece keyboard is also on sale 17.47, in case any one is interested
I realy want to order one toobecause in europe they are about at least 20-30 €..

just picked mine up in store, apparently they dont ship the dock, you have to do in store pickup. the guy at the store told me it was being discontinued, and I got 1 of the only 2 they had. I also picked up the SD adapter for the tab(official samsumg adapter) for $8.37. I had previously bought a cheap chinese 2 in 1 usb/sdcard adapter, its very ****ty and you have to hold it an exact angle, and not move the device, otherwise you a disconnect...

To bad they dont ship to Canada I'd pick it up then.
Its out of stock. It will let you put it in the cart, but when you go to checkout during the entering of the billing/shipping address it then says its out of stock and must be removed from the basket. Otherwise its a good deal.
If you're a Amazon Prime member its $9.72 shipped for the EDD-D1B1BEGXAR model.
Thank you, really cheap prices a little worried
I know you can't sell phones on XDA, you go to Swappa now, but what about accessories?
There isn't a spot on Swappa for accessories.
If this is not allowed please delete it and I apologize in advance.
I won an HTC One Car Dock, that I have absolutely zero use for.
It is the "HTC One Car Kit - Car D160"
It would be brand new in the box, I am not going to even open it.
(I don't have it yet, but it's on it's way)
The buyer will pay for shipping.
The dock goes for around $70-$90 new: Make me a reasonable offer if you are interested.
Looks like iOttie is taking reservations for their Qi car mount. Spoiler alert: It's $80.
http://www.iottie.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=1058&ProductType=321
I was hoping for a $40-50 price point. So, yeah, I'm a little disappointed.
Yeah $80 is way too high especially when you can get more "Premium" Chinese Qi Car docks for about $45. I figured the price was going to be more than we requested when the "Rep" that had the iOttie post suddenly went silent. $50 was just the high end of Purchasable range. $80 is high even if there were NO other options on the market. Heck the OwlPad sold for LESS than that much when it came out...over a year ago. So yeah makes me feel the company is trying to fleece the N5 owners.
Hey guys,
We did not go quiet on the postings - we were just advised from XDA moderators that that kind of posting is not permitted within the forums.
We do appreciate the constructive feedback with regards to our product & pricing. We will pass that information onto our management team for more detailed review.
I would buy it for around $40-50 but definitely not at $80.
80? This is why I've refused to buy the tylt vu. I have zero problem shelling out cash for accessories but that's ridiculous.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
80? Probably cost 15 to make at those quantities. I'll pass, thanks.
the air dock is better than this, and it costs less at $69, but even that's still way too expensive for this kind of thing. $80 is just ridiculous.
We are actually giving away a Nexus 5 and some Easy Flex Wireless mounts on Facebook today - be sure to check it out.
Also, the price you guys see is MSRP - but the MAP price that it will be sold at on Amazon and other resellers is $69.95.

$70 with that 20% off offering that you all are sharing via Facebook if you sign up for the contest is pretty solid considering how much everyone likes the car mounts.

yeah the retail price isn't what it'll be on amazon. Funny I wrote in to them when I first got my nexus 5 asking if they were making one. Glad to see they did.
I'm curious on final price. Been using their mounts for awhile and find it pretty good.
I do have 2 of the indiegogo airdocks coming though. Which in the end is a better solution if it works.
Looks nice to me, I'd be all over it.

The contest says it ends the 47th of April? I tried to enter but apparently it's closed already.
Curious, I see that people are upset at spending $80 for a modern and functional mount that also wirelessly charges your phone. I think it looks awesome and I would totally buy it, but I'm curious, what other alternatives exist?

Other than the Air Dock which was a Kickstarter but now goes for $69 now and the OwlPad which has been out for OVER a year which sells for $57. There are others on Amazon and Aliexpress from $35-50 depending on quality. $80 for a plain old QI charger is just over priced. For $69 at least the Airdock has the Magnets for the N5 included in the design.
One thing to consider with a wireless charger dock for the car is how much flexibility in positioning it offers, cause most of the time, you'll probably need to put it where it can get some direct air conditioning. This Easy Flex Wireless, if it's like the Easy Flex 3, can be rotated 360° and put the phone hanging in front of the vents of my car.
Does anyone know if this will work with case on. I would get it but I wanna know if can have a case on my nexus and it will still work. If you know the answer please let me know. Thanks

It does, like any other Qi charger. IIRC Qi can do something like half an inch distance. In any case, it should be fine for any cases that are not battery cases or metal ones.
Not bad, but bouncy....
I pre-prdered this dock using the Facebook coupon, and it arrived over the weekend. I tried it out in the hopes that it would not exhibit the bounciness that the other wireless charging dock I ordered had.
I used my phone, both with and without it's TPU case (my phone is an LG G2) in this dock and on all but the smoothest of roads (I live in Michigan, so "smooth road" is almost an oxymoron) the bounce is very noticeable. There is just too much flex in the arm of the dock.
I have written to them via their facebook page in hopes that I receive a reply and hopefully a solution.
The pricing is now $69.95 on amazon

I have one and it doesn't charge with my case off. It will with case off. Maybe I should have it replaced
