Stock HTC Keyboard For CM7 With Arrows - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I am using CM7 but want the stock keyboard... I can't function without the arrows and a trackball....
anyone help?

On the text fields there is now a slider to slide the cursor around. Have you tried using this? I, personally, find this more intuitive and useful than the arrow keys.

the stock keyboard I can help you get on CM7, but no arrows.

You should check out swift key beta x and after you install u can go into the settings under theme and layout section enable arrow keys its free for now and its a really good keyboard I think better then stock. I use the fast prediction of settings.

On the gingerbread keyboard you can press the spacebar and drag up to get arrow keys.

[Q]Removing the arrow keys?

Is it possible to remove the arrow keys from the onscreen keyboard?
I usually click on the text itself if I want to move around the stuff so The keys are just in the way for me.
Thanks in advance
Install the htc ime mod. Can't paste you the bookmark right now but google should found it easy enough.

Is there any way to make a swype keyboard with the arrow keys like in HTC's default keyboard? I think then it would be the perfect keyboard lol.

Fyi, the newest Swype beta has arrows, just not on the main keyboard. You Swype from the info key to sym and an arrow Sven comes up. Hope this helps

[Q] HTC_IME Keyboard

Does anyone have a link to this keyboard with the arrow keys, and better yet with the arrow keys in a black theme? I would love this!

Well I went with Smart Keyboard. It has the options to add the arrow keys to landscape and/or portrait, gives you different skins such as iPhone, Android, Gingerbread, Galaxy, HTC, etc. But I found a free one called Glow Legacy Red Keyboard. Basically this keyboard has everything I want. It'd still be nice to totally customize the key layout to what you use most, but this one is very good.

How do I change keyboards?

This is getting annoying!
I've installed Smart Keyboard PRO, and I am unable to select this as the default keyboard.
Usually I long press in a text box to select an alternative keyboard but it is not working. Any ideas?
Go into settings, language and keyboard to activate your other keyboard.
Then when using the normal keyboard you can swipe down from status bar and select input method.
Hope this makes sense.

i had already activated but didn't know to swipe down!
thanks a million
for you
First, install the keyboard and enable it in keyboard settings (slide to "on").
Second, when you are actually typing in a textbox of some sort, there should be a keyboard notification up at the top of the screen - if you select it, it will let you choose input, and you can select which keyboard to use.
Smart Keyboard Pro is fantastic for typing but horrible for predicting/fixing mistakes
Don`t forget to push thanks
Just curious while we're at this subject, I find the stock HTC keyboard in HOX to be weak in predicting as well. Have seen Galaxy Nexus's stock ICS keyboard instead and would prefer that.
Is there a way I can use the stock ICS keyboard on HOX? If yes, how can I download the stock ICS keyboard and install for use?

[Q] Arrow-Keys like HTC Sense Keyboard in codefireX

Hi.
Is there some possibility, to activate arrow-keys (left, right, up, down) in the codefireX keyboard, as in the htc-sense-keyboard ?
Also: How do I hide the keyboard on some input-field ? HTC-original has a key bottom left to hide it !
Thanks
Micha_he
e.g.: The 'HTC_IME MOD v30' does not work unfortunately with JB4.2 !
No, but codefireX has an option to enable left and right keys in the navbar (if you enable it) and/or use volume keys to move the cursor left/right. If you must have all direction keys in the keyboard, use a keyboard that has the feature like SwiftKey or SwiftKey Flow Beta (if you want swiping).
To hide the keyboard in an input field, just press back.

Ok. I will wait for a new version of "HTC IME MOD"-keyboard.

Thanks, that was easy
Lol. I'd suggest you try SwiftKey Flow. It's a million times better than the HTC keyboard.

Ok, ok. I'll take a look to SwiftKey Flow. But the video and the screenshots i have found, show no cursor-keys
I've had a look to 'SwiftKey Flow Beta'. It's right, you can add the cursor-keys at the bottom of the keyboard, under the config-options.
Thanks to sashank....

Many of the 3rd party keyboards in the Play Store have an option to add arrow keys. Another really nice one, if you don't need gesture typing, is Smart Keyboard Pro.
