Does anyone else have this problem? It's really quite annoying. I get the what's new screen and user acceptance screen for Navigation every time I open those apps, but only after rebooting. It also loses its settings. Is this a Google bug or just me?

what rom are you running. I've only noticed this with tranquil ice and gummy. However, in checking battery usage, maps doesn't show up
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
ive noticed it in bixie rom and now I am using AOKP. and its the same if i go into app management and kill it 2-3 times when its there it seems to solve the problem. but as you say its not in battery stats
Related to one of the options when you initially set up the phone? Sending location based data to Google for one reason or another perhaps?
I noticed it a couple of times but doesn't seem to be happening these days... Running latest Bigxie build aka Apex 1.0.0...
I'm running on 4.01 stock and sometimes it's open and sometimes its not! Pretty annoying if you ask me...

I have a weird problem with my phone. Every so often, my phone wjll vibrate twice, in two really short bursts that arent powerful at all. It is completely random. And whenever im playing music, it will stop the music for 5 seconds. If anyone knows what this is it would be greatly appreciated because this is happening on my new phone, as well as my last two galaxy s 2's (ive gotten 3 replacements)

What apps do you have that give off frequent notification? Do you have facebook, friendcaster, word w/f, etc.? Can you give us a small run down?
you can also download betterbatterystats (free here on XDA) and look at what frequently runs perhaps it appears as a wakelock.
or you can always look at logcat

It's a kernel crash. It's a part of android. It usually happens to let you know that it crashed but android reloads where it last left off. Hence the reason for the gap in music. If you press home immediately after you will catch it trying to finish reloading.

Try running master's kernel cleanser and reinstalling the kernel, that's a place to start

Is the same app running every time it happens? It may be a 3rd party app that isn't completely compatible running on your phone. Try deleting any third party widgeta.. then going into your task manager and clearing your memory. Then add one widget at at time til it starts doing it. If it doesn't do it, then open one of your e eryday apps at a time till you have the vibrating again. You may find some crappy lil app that you installed is causing all the problems.

Ill try that thanks

Hey guys,
Is anyone else experiencing constant restarting of the TouchWiz launcher? It always seems to happen whenever I leave an app to go the main screen the launcher always seem to restart itself. Is there something in the settings I'm missing? I happened to like this launcher a lot, just the restarting drives me crazy lol . It's never like a smooth transition from app to home screen. Thanks guys
Try in developers options changing windows animation scale and transition animation scale to .5 or even off.

I did changed the windows animations scale, but is still doing it. My guess is a launcher issue.

I was running stock, but I decided to factory reset and I believe that might've fixed the constant launcher refreshing. So far is running smoother now. Weird

reinstall apps one by one, and see what happens. It could be an app messing with it
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
never had that happen.. full wipe and reset or flash another rom.

Yeah that is exactly what I did and the phone is running much better than before. It was just so annoying because I just got this phone like days ago and I wasn't really expecting something like this from one of the best phones in the market right now. I believe it all started when I restored all my apps when I first logged into the phone.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Did you restore any system apps?
So, here is the situation with my Samsung Galaxy S2. Every now and then, when the phone is left idle and I try to browse to use the Internet after a while, the speeds are unusable.
So, I run one of those network refresh apps every now and then (which basically puts the phone into airplane mode and back) and that always solves the problem.
My question is whether anyone knows an app that can do this automatically, say once every hour.
Now, this is an issue that I had with my phone ever since I installed ICS on it and none of the different ROMs had helped and neither did flashing different radios.
So, if anyone knows an app like this or has a similar problem with their phone, all help is much appreciated.
Should be a way to do this in either Llama, which is free, or Tasked, which is a paid app.

I've flashed many roms and I always get the same issue. Every time I turn the screen off I always get the notification ringtone. It happens all the time now. does anyone have a solution to this.
Right now I'm on PAC Rom latest version. I've always done a full clean install

I know this sounds basic but it can often be overlooked.
Would that be the screen lock sound? That can be toggled in the sound settings menu.
If its not, then im not sure what else would be causing it.
