MHL cable

Just received my MHL cable today must say I'm really impressed with the output looks lovely and crisp. Think I'll invest in Bluetooth keyboard and mouse anyone got this setup? In case anyone's wondering cable cost me £5.50 from ebay

Ok but how about recharging in the time of using HDMI and playing some real games (NOVA3, MAxPayne ...) , it uses 11pins so it actually recharges phone while using or battery power drops ?

I'll have a check when I get home if it charges it I'm sure it does I'll also try some games and post a video

Using the official cable and watching (streaming via wifi) video it stays about the same or goes down a point or two. Gaming should be something similar.

Damn, I was going to buy this one but cos it said s2 I was put off. I ordered one for £13 and it's listed as original.

This same item in Amazon UK has a negative review saying that it doesn't work on the GS3. Can you please confirm that this 3m cable definitely works?

I have an mhl cable from my S2. I only used it once and then had the problem of random car mode activation for a few weeks after. Thankfully this sorted itself out and may not have been related to the cable. I was close to returning the phone at one point.
Would this cable work on the S3?

Yes, I have that set up:

Charging port

Geez, my nephew is having issues with his charging port again. Anyone else having issues with it a second time? His cat is to blame, whatever that means. It's charging, but won't work on computer.

...However, due to the nature of the Inc2's charging port (namely that it sucks), it is totally believable that it broke again.

Have you tried a different cable? Some cables are made to only supply power, sometimes cables just fail because of cats and their diabolical ways.
If she wants an iPhone, let her get one. I am preparing to push my wife to get one. I just think she'll be happier with it. Ain't no shame in this game. I will only be reinforced in my dislike of Apple if my wife gets one, but the point is she should like what she gets.

All women should use iPhones. They are easier to comprehend.

Yes I tried two different cables and it computer won't recognize phone. It will still charge using the charging plugged into outlet, but not into computer. That is a sign that it is going bad. To make matters worse, i need to fix his screen. He just broke it on saturday. Geez.

Hopefully Nokia will bring us a phone. They've been incorporating wireless charging stock. With that and wireless adb, you would never need a cable again! And they have cameras better than anyone else!

ive gone through 2 inc2s with faulty charging ports. current one is loose and looking like it's going to go the same way.

Still alive. I'll report back on how my nephew does on replacing the cracked screen. He is mechanical, but i think i might be supervising the fix. It was pretty cheap to get the parts $17.95 on amazon for the screen + digitizer, t5 & t6 torc screw & pry tool, & adhesive tape. I thought that was pretty cheap.

Finally got the parts needed for a USB repair on one of my Inc2s! seems like a common issue on Inc2 after x amount of time.

Wireless charging

Hey guys I was just looking for some wireless charging pads for my one but then I realized I haven't heard any onr saying the one has these capabilities. So I checked on the box and website and there was no mention there either... Does anyone know if it does support it?!?!?

It doesn't support it. The back is made of all aluminum so it's wouldn't be possible.

Yes, it is impossible.
Those plastic strips aren't nearly enough room. The charging coils required for wireless charging are about 2.5" in diameter, and the entire circular area would have to be plastic.
Either way, I think the only device that got wireless charging right was the Touchstone anyway, so it's no big loss to me.

The Nexus 4 has wireless charging and it works perfectly. Too bad the Nexus One cannot support this. It really is
convenient. I will still be making the switch though.....

I wouldn't call it slipping off the dock and not having any method of ensuring the device is orientated to be "working perfectly". Seriously, the Touchstone's magnets were a large part of why it wasn't a gimmick.

I have the wireless orb for the nexus 4. I haven't had any problem with the phone slipping off. It even charges while in my Ballistic SG case.:good:

it says it puts the phone in car mode. that would imply that it plugs in somehow (like my old epic dock did)

I am definitely purchasing it. I am still using my OG Atrix 4g and one of the main reasons is the custom docks. I use them daily.

Your gonna be waiting a bit longer if you order the desktop dock. I just got this email....

Thats kind of cool surprised its magnetic. I have a Magic-Pro ProMini bluetooth keyboard that works pretty well (I'm running ViperOne 3.1.0). Can't get my One to pair with my Apple wireless bluetooth keyboard which worked great as a full size keyboard for my EVO. The price seems kind of low for this as I paid like $60 for my Pro-Mini.
