Hi guys, I want to flash the cleanest Android ROM for DHD. No sense, no bloatware, just pure Android Gingerbread experience. Which one should I choose?
Cm7

Really you will be happy with Cyanogenmod or any of the Cyanogenmod respins. They are all notably faster than Sense.

what leedroid's kernel differs from the default one with ARHD 3.0 (apache's kernel) ? i think lee's drains more battery as it gives u the option to overclock higher than 1.2 (which will not be undervolted).
correct me if im wrong please cos i'd like to know the differences
Cheers
Leedroid 2.2.4 fo shizzle.

[ROM] Desired AOSP RC1 [9th May] - 75MB of pure Google love - NOT CM7 based
This looks interesting. I shall be trying it as soon as I get round to downgrading etc

Latest stable release of CM7 is awesome! Very light and fast ROM.
The ROM mentioned above is interesting but I haven't tried it yet.

This is a very good rom however it has a bluetooth issue at the moment, hopefully it'll get fixed soon. If like me you can live without bluetooth the I highly recommended this rom.

Faster because it is almost stock Android and no additional hacks like in CM7 + Needs less space on system partition (because of no added apps).
Cheers for the reply, I assume to take advantage of that extra space I need to s-off and use custom hboot right?
Sent from my CM7.1 Desire using XDA Premium App
I only used MIUI aosp RoM its very fast and smooth
CyanogenMOD 7
I used it for 2 months and never have problems with it!
GingerVillain, Cyanogenmod
Cyanogen. In my experience the fastest ROM my phone's ever seen.
or try MIUI if you're looking for a whole new UI experience - it's pretty damn good. Can't bring myself to change it

Nah you need not, but if you want the extra space you should.
Also it's down to preferences, but my experience also give the win to oxygen hands down. CM is nice in its own way, but at some points it's just disturbingly complex(yes you get a lot of extra features which is unneeded for me) and many times it stutter at some user-interactions, where oxygen just feels more solid as well as minimal to me.
Redux 1.2. No word of a lie.
HTC Desire, Redux 1.2, S-OFF, CM7 HBOOT.
Tried the latest CM7 but it was rather 'sluggish'... Now tried Redux 1.2 and it's really really nice. DIdn't try Oxygen, perhaps I'll do it when I have some time, but not right now!
For me Oxygenrom offers the best performance. Battery life is also quite good
So I've been running Oxygen 2.2 then 2.2.1 and now I'm on the Redux2 snapshot. Still hard to choose between them. But because it's complete, I would change my suggestion to Oxygen.
PHONE: HTC Desire GSM, S-OFF
ROM: Redux2 Snapshot 18082011
RADIO: 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2
KERNEL: thalamus 2.6.35.14_r1
Oxygen is the best since it is minimal so that you can add many things accordingly to your needs.
Whats best is subjective. Whats fastest depends on how you use your phone. The fastest ROM I have tried is Redux 1.2
Also, just because something is close to stock doesn't automatically mean its going to be faster.
Fastest and best aosp I've found is GingerVillain 2.8
All the benefits of CM7 but with the added tweaks from Richard Trip.
(Found the home screens were a little sluggish when going from one to another when I first started using it, but then added Launcher Pro to it and now it flies!)
The alpha 3 of the virtuous infinity rom is dead slow, i was wondering if any of you guys have tried any old builds of it. Thats the only rom with full sense 4.0 i'm aware of, so pls if you have tried it pls tell me which build so i can try (obviously I don't want to download all of them and try my self ) or do you know of any full sense 4.0 Rom (not virtuous para......) Thanks in advance

Have you tried the Gen.Y VisionX ROM? Its a full sense 4.0 from and its pretty zippy to me but not as fast as Mimicry Stock ICS. Give it a try I tried and I love it
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda app-developers app
Gen.Y isn't full sense 4. It's 4a. It makes difference.

Thread Closed reason this HERE
As in the topic. Maybe MIUI 2.10.12? Maybe some other? Which do you recommend?
I've tried almost every non-sense rom, and my two favorite is RobotoMOD or MIUI v4 2.8.10, because they are the fastest/smoothest.
CM9, CM10, Paranoid Android 2.54, Speed Droid would be good too, they were working fine, but they were laggy compared to Robotomod or MIUI.
Robotomod could be better too, for example if Int2Ext4+ or anything else (beside Link2SD) would work.
@up
I used MIUI, and now I'm using CM9 and I don't see that MIUI stood out as fast.
I've used MIUI for a month straight and no lags except the known bugs. I am currently using cm9 because of hq videos.
Go for MIUI coz of the interface and the speed.

Miui its so different and cool.

i really dig MIUI the snapseries one though. i'm using paranoid android right now though, and i love it. i think its all up to your personal taste.
Sent from my marvelc using xda app-developers app
Miui for me
tbh i used all three and i LOVE THEM ALL, i would stay on miui but its out of date and the themes dont apply right sometimes. i just stick with cm9 for speed and stability and a uniform look. as far as lag try using some of the memory tweaks and v6 then change your launcher
