I have my HTC Desire for w while now and it works ( almost ) flawless. I have rooted it but I still need to do a nand root of which I am a little afraid to do so.
But that is not the issue here. I am a former Nokia user and I use a Parrot carkit in both my cars. The thing with the Nokia was that it sends all its sounds through the parrot into my car speakers. I mean when my phone rang or got a notification, I heard that through my carspeakers. The HTC does not. If I make a call it will use the carspeakers. but any nnotification of incoming call or sms or mms will only be heard on the phone itself.
Is there a solution to correct that?
grtz Maverick ®
Yeah.. Plug an aux cable in to the phone. (Just like when you hear all notifications through headphones)
Other than that, I cannot help!
Dan.

Anyone to recommend a good Bluetooth headset, a set with music controls 3.5mm jack for your own earphones and a display that would display the id3 tags or file name. Of course be able to answer calls.
I'm using a Nokia one at the moment but its not very responsive, dunno if its because of the old Bluetooth 1.0 compatibility.

Thanks for the recommendation, so I bought a set after reading positive reviews. Connection was easy and very quick and responsive. But one fault is that the phone itself starts ringing on incoming calls the and some signals through the headset. Weird doesn't happen on my old slow unresponsive BT headset (Nokia) at least the phone didn't ring just signals through the headset bit embarrassing when your phone goes off and you answer on a BT headset.
Any settings that could fix this?
I have resetted BT pairing and the headset but still same.
Anybody use this with wildfire?

Are you using any custom roms? I remember that cyanogen rom has some options about ringing in headphones, if I am not mistaken.
Also, did you test it on another phone to see if it's behaving the same way ?

I am using Wildpuzzle 0.8. Checked media and phone audio is connected. Have tried it on a Nokia and same thing happens. Can the headset be updated or something? My way round is to mute the phone when I connect the headset but this is so inconvenient when sometimes I forget to reenable sound.

Try this: Do a nandroid back-up and flash CM7. See if the problem still persists.
If not... I`m out of ideas. Maybe try to get a refund?
I have read many threads with same complaint, now realising It's a feature of most new smartphones (dunno whether its just android or not) that phone always rings with Bluetooth headsets just in case for some reason you take out your earphones for some reason.
I'm a little reluctant to switch to cm7 waiting for it to be stable first.

I think it`s normal for a phone to ring via the speaker even with the headset connected. Maybe they just need to add an option for it.
I meant testing CM7, not switching to it completely. A 30 min job to test CM7 and restore nandroid.
Hi
Just got the MW600 as well, very pleased so far.
I have the same issue, phone is ringing as well - whereas it does not really bother me.
There are few things not working well for me, so I was hoping to find here some feedback:
- No Song titles are displayed (not so bad since it is normally clipped in a position where you can not easily check
- the call-button does not work to call somebody, only to take a call
- the play button does not automatically start playing HTC music - but worked with Winamp and Songbird
Any suggestions ?
Original Rom (l have 2.2.1 nie) have Sound quality issue over a2do. HTC support said, I must wait for next update (when they may be fix it)

I'm having an issue with my Plantronics 903+ Bluetooth Headset. They pair and play's music fine , but it cuts out quite alot if i move about. Honestly if I have to sit still I may as well get wired headphones.
I am CM nightly's (71) with the latest radio flashed.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello,
i use Jabra BT3030
http://www.productwiki.com/jabra-bt3030/
3 years of working, without any problem
Ok, I really start to like the SE MW600 a lot
If you get a call music stops and you can take the call with one button.
Double tapping the call button re-calls the last person you phoned - works good as well.
But I am still not having the ideal media player
Original HTC music player fails to start up automatically when you tab the music button
- but next song/pause works well
Songbird opens automatically, next song/pause/... works well but searching in a track not and it is rather heavy making the phone really slow
Winamp is probably the best, but I still think it is too heavy
Does anybody knows a good light media player with bluetooth support ?

Thanks for Your help!
Thank You guys for your help. I read thread and finds it useful.
I have Samsung HM1000 bluetooth handsfree. When i pair it with Wildfire S (A510e), during incoming call, I only get feeble beeps (which very difficult to hear in noisy as well as even in normal condition). Where as when i pair the handsfree with Nokia handset, I can even get a MP3 ringtone in the earpiece.
What could be the problem ? Any solution ?
HTC customer care asked me to soft reset & try again. But no luck.
Wildfire S has bluetooth 3.0 where as handsfree is bluetooth 2.1 +EDR.
HTC customer care says it should support.
This is not uncommon. Ringtones over bluetooth are not part of the bluetooth specifications, so while a phone may be compatible/supported, this feature is not guaranteed to work (Nokia has the best bluetooth stack on the market).
Thanks Lee,
Is there any way to increase the vol of BEEPS. Right now its very feeble. I think i'll not be able to listen to it in crowded area or in the car if music is on in the car's music system.
If your carkit has a volume setting, that would be the way to increase them. I myself have the same situation, except my beeps are extremely loud, so it scares the hell out of me everytime my phone rings
It's not a car kit. I am using a Handsfree being mounted on the ear. U can see this model on Samsung website. Though there are vol buttons, they didn't help in increasing the beeps volume. They can increase / decrease conversation volume.
Any suggestions ?
Can HTC release a patch to resolve the issue ?
I have been searching for this myself as well; the feature is officially called "in-band ringtone". I can't find anything that's android related though.
If you plan to get a new one, may i suggest a blueant device..ive been using one for over 2 years now and used it on motorola, nokia, samsung, htc and it worked flawless ..
dun wry...am not selling em . i just love my blueant st3
I am talking about hands-free to be fixed on the ear (something like Blueant Q2). ST3 appears to be a speakerphone larger in size. Again, in one of the review, it is mentioned to bluetooth ver 2.0.
In the, mean time i once again contacted HTC customer care.
Now they say it should be ver 3.0....A2DP.....Stereo etc.etc.
I don't understand how there can't be backward compatibility ?
How many Bluetooth 3.0 hands-free devices are available in the Indian market ?
Another test:
HM1000 (same model,Bluetooth 2.1 but another piece)connected with SAMSUNG Galaxy ACE (Bluetooth 2.1). Same results. (Only beeps during incoming call).
Any comments / justification from experts.
Hi! I have the same problem. Only faint beeps emitted by the bluetooth headset during incoming calls. (I tried it using samsung galaxy y and blackberry 8520)
What could be the problem? Please help.
Hi All.
One feature I loved with Cyanogenmod on my SGS2 and HTC Desire was the ability to make a hands-free call while using the headphone out socket to listen to music.
When a call came in the sound would be routed out the headphone socket to my headphones/car stereo and the internal microphone would switch to hands-free mode and pick up what I was saying.
With the Nexus however I can hear the other person fine but they cannot hear me at all.
Is this working for anyone? If not I hope the devs build this function into their custom ROMs.
Simple solution: just get something like this.
http://www.amazon.com/Headset-Adapter-Microphone-iTouch-generation/dp/B0034Z5GY8/ref=pd_sim_e_4
I guess that is a solution but it's annoying when every other Android phone I've used doesn't even require one and uses the internal speaker.
What's up everybody,
Just posting a thread because one of my best mates bought a black One X on my recommendation because it's a total powerhouse of a handset, except he's having some issues connecting it over bluetooth to his car.
He's got a lovely brand new 12 plate Vauxhall (in the UK, Opel elsewhere and i assume they all use the same software) Corsa with a built-in Bluetooth car kit. His phone connects fine, he can even dial from the steering wheel and start the call, but all audio takes place through the phone speaker. We've tried pairing, unpairing, playing around with a whole host of bluetooth settings, but call audio always takes place through the phone speaker rather than the car itself.
This was never the case with his old Nexus S, or my HD7, but our teacher's One X and another friend's One X have the same problem: no audio routes itself through the car's speakers.
Does anybody have a solution? Has anybody got a similar problem?
HTC one X
Hi, the problem is an app called "car". It takes control when ever you connect your phone to a car kit. Open the app, it has a steering wheel above it and click on the settings, where it displays the bluetooth symbol. Un-click all the auto launch and auto connect settings. That should cure it.
please help..
Hi,
Guys I am having the same issue in my one x version 4.0.3. I can't pick up calls and talk straight from my car's speakers . i have first to pick up from the from and switch the speaker to htc speaker then I have to switch the phone to my car speaker again. At this point the call is heard through the car's speakers. !! PLZ HOW CAN I FIX THIS ??
Me Too!
My car does this too, only way to get sound is go into the menu on the car and tick "Free Speech"
Hoping 4.0.4 or 4.1 fixes this!
HTC's advice was return the phone....
same problem with samsung galaxy s2
Hi everyone, i am having the same problem with a samsung galaxy s2 and a opel corsa 2010. it connects, i can dial numbers, i can make phone numbers but i can't hear anything and nobody can hear me. if i un check the freespeech box it automatically uncheck the headseat on the phone.
so if anyone found any solutions i would appreciate if they post the solution.

Hello, I have a problem with my HTC One m8 and headsets with a mic. This just began happening yesterday, I would listen to music on Google Play Music, when suddenly my music would stop and my phone would ask me to unlock my device. It then proceeded to try to do a voice search without me starting it, and tried calling someone in my contacts, but would immediately hang up and I'd hear a brief moment of static. At the very least can someone help me determine if this is my phone overreacting to the microphone, or if it's the headset all together?
The specs if anyone needs to know:
Phone: HTC One m8, had it for a few months
Headset: Pear sport
Phone is unrooted on android 4.4.2, sense 6.0
Do you still have the packed-in HTC headset? If so try that.
It seems either the button on your headset is malfunctioning; or your phone is. If its the phone, itcould be software or hardware (such as a damaged headphone jack).
