Phone calls through dock and car speakers - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want something plain and simple. My call audio with the OEM dock to go to my car speakers, not this damn BT or speakerphone. Is it possible?

cable Stereo Headset for HTC Universal

What would be a good non-bluethooth (cable) stereo Headset that works well with the HTC Universal. I mainly need it for listening to music (so high sound qualitly is important) but still want to be able to answer phone calls from time to time with it.
Use your own Headphones
Hi I got one of those headphone adapters you find on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Qtek-9000-i-mat...7QQihZ011QQcategoryZ58544QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It has a jack right after the microphone so that you can use any headphones you like and still be able to answer to your calls without taking them off.
I mainly use it to connect to my car stereo with a cassete adapter.
You can hear the other talker through your car speakers and talk too, without having to do many movements. You can hear the other party as loud as your car stereos aloud you to
Good Luck.

Car kt/stereo for music and calls - How?

Does anyone know of a solution where I can plug my phone in, play music on the car stereo and then make/take calls?
Would be nice if it was all integrated - i.e. that the stereo would pause or so when I'm on the phone, and the phone goes through the stereo speakers etc.
Need to get a new stereo anyway, so need the whole lot!
Cheers,
Ferg.
This is not a new stereo but works perfect for me. look up the Motorola t505. It is bluetooth handsfree and transmits wirelessly to your car stereo with built in fm transmitter. very strong fm transmitter. Music streamed to car stereo will paus when you make or get a call and the call even comes through the car stereo. Battery is very good too. Google it
That looks quite a decent solution, thanks hotrod.
I'm a little suspicious of BT though generally, not least because of my succession of HTC devices. I wonder if there's anything that just plugs in using old fashioned wires.
Well I am using the t505 with my HTC Touch Elf and it is the best thing that I have used in my car for transmitting music, since my factory stereo doesn't have aux in jack. I have tried using a regular fm transmitter directly from the phone but you get way too much distortion and feedback and radio interferance that way. I aslo do not have a tape deck in my car so that option wasn't available. For me I had to decide - Get a new car stereo with Aux Jack in or Built in Bluetooth, get the Parrot Bluetooth ( has to be professionally installed) or the T505. The cheapest was the T505 for me and it works better for me than I had ever hoped.

[Q] car dock with speaker output instead AUX

What I am talking about is when I dock onto Moto's official car dock, I want the media sound output from phone speak, instead of the dock aux output.
When I dock my phone, I always listen to radio, however, if GPS is also working, the sound will not go through phone speak. Then I have to turn the radio to AUX, in order to recieve GPS guidence.
Does anyone have any idea how to bypass the aux output to speaker output.
Just unplug the audio connector from the dock cable. I do it all the time. That way, you can listen to your vehicle's radio, while still hearing all the phone's functions.
good call!

(Q) hands-free Bluetooth in car only uses front speakers

Is there a way to change the hands-free Bluetooth to play through front and rear car speakers?
When my phone is paired to my stereo, through media plays through all speakers of course, but I was hoping I could get just the regular phone call to play through all speakers also.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
That's a limitation of your cars implementation of bluetooth and nothing really to do with the GN. I assume if you hook up any phone to your car it will only use the front speakers for the call. My car only uses the front passenger speaker for some reason for calls and it doesn't support a2dp so I can't play music through bluetooth .
I thought about that, but when I have the HTC Incredible, I'm pretty sure that it output to all speakers.

Recommended Car Dock with Speakers?

Hey Guys,
Can anyone recommend any car docks that have built-in speakers? Currently using my phone as a navigation doesn't work too well as I find the speaker so quiet that on high speeds or with some light music on, you can barely here anything.
So with that in mind if anyone has any good recommendation of car dock with speakers that is loud and crisp then much appreciated! Sort of like the TomTom's which I found was always quite clear to hear even with the background noises.
Thanks
I'm not sure if there are any Car Docks with built in speakers, but I am very satisfied with the iBolt Car Dock in combination with the HTC Car StereoClip. I always play my music through the phone and navigation works fine as well, as it even turns down the music when the satnav says something.
The only downside is, that it's quite pricey, but instead of the Car StereoClip you could use a normal AUX cable which will do the same as the StereoClip.
