push on cyanogen - Defy General

hello,
i tried to set up the push on cyanogen rom but i have some difficulties.
i setup my yahoo account but the push don't work.
Can you help me please.
thank's

Any ideas ...? i'm the only one who have this problem ?

Maybe wifi disconnect. Try reload burton from app itself
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App

if i go to the email and i do a refresh it work. but this is not "the push". When i was on froyo official and eclair official, the push work immediately. Now i need to go on email app to check my email, no notification.

I was having the same problem.
Go to settings/ accounts and sync /Manage accounts and select the account whose email you are using then make sure that you have checked the sync email option. This fixed my problem. By the way I use a Gmail account.

the problem is already here. when i go to the account setting i can't choose push in "refresh frequency".
Before, when i was on stock rom i have this option.
I don't know if the problem comes from the cyanogen rom or the 179 sbf rom that i flash before installing cyanogen.

Any ideas

Go into the Accounts & Sync menu under settings. do another "Add Account", there you should see a second Facebook account icon, click there and login to your facebook account.
If you've already done this, go back to the Account & Sync menu, and click the Facebook for HTC Sense and remove account, re-add it and reboot.
I always have that same issue when setting up a new ROM, and you just have ot play with the settings under Facebook for HTC Sense and sometimes even removing and re-adding helps.
Tried All those options but nothing worked and my whole life is on facebook

Under the People app, click menu and view. make sure you have your Facebook checked.
You may want to avoid creating MULTIPLE threads for the same issue.
Check your other thread in the general section for an answer.
Sorry bout the other thread thing i want this issue resolved and i did check and facebook is checked
Stock Rom? Ask the Facebook App developer. Uninstall and reinstall. Wipe the phone and reinstall. I am using Stock Rom non-rooted and having no issue. Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
If you're still not having any luck, I'd have to agree with tgruendler, try a wipe and start over. As far as the Stock ROM, did you download and install it after rooting.
If that's the case, try one of the custom ROMS
Can u give me links and tell me how to do this??
I have the same problem as you.
I went back to rooted stock and i can't get it to find my friends. everythign else, including the friend stream syncs up fine.
I have wiped and reinstalled...same problem.
I'm having the same issue. I installed Fresh 1.0.1, and I wasn't able to re-sync, but when I reflashed my backup (which was working before), it still wouldn't connect.
Maybe Facebook is having issues today?

[Q] [REQUEST] Remove Exchange Policy From Sense Mail.apk On Super-Z Enhanced v4.2

I am trying to figure out how to remove the exchange lock policy (have to enter pin after unlocking phone) for the mail.apk in the SUPER-Z Enhanced V4.2 ROM. I have tried countless methods but none were successful. I know I can do it with other mail.apk's but I want to use the sense one included in the ROM. Any help is appreciated. The original apk is attached.
Thanks
What I Did
I'm not sure what the differences are between mail.apk's but I followed the instructions from the following post and it worked like a champ:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10024521&postcount=293
When you setup the exchange account it still asks you to activate security and set a pin but once you've setup the account you can remove the admin and use pattern lock.
I attached my Mail.apk. It originated from Virtuous 3.2.

Thanks ktdt I will try when I get home. I tried doing something similar but I couldn't get java files to cooperate.

I deleted my old Mail.apk and pushed the one you supplied to /system/app and then rebooted. When I try to open mail in the app drawer it force closes. Every other one I tried to do did the same thing. Any ideas?

Hmmm.... not sure... I've used that same APK with Virtuous, IncrediblyReengineered and Redemptive Revolution with no problems. Every time I flash a new ROM I replace the APK before setting up the Exchange account.
Did you delete your Exchange account (and any POP3's) and/or maybe delete your mail data before removing/replacing the Mail.apk?
No I just deleted mail.apk, I will try that and let you know.

Ok still didn't work and I did the following. Removed my exchange account, not any account setup on POP, IMAP, etc. Then I cleared the cache, data and force stopped, Mail, Mail Widget, Calendar, Calendar Storage, Calendar Sync Adapter and Calendar Widget. Then I used Super Manager to delete Mail.apk form /system/app. I then pushed your supplied Mail.apk to /system/app and then rebooted. Open app drawer try to open Mail and force close. I might just try another ROM with your Mail.apk what do you think?
I changed to Incredibly Re-Engineered and it works now. Must have not liked the ROM I was on. This was more important to me so I made the switch. Thanks for the help.

[Q] can't add email accounts after root?!

Recently rooted, I can't add email accounts to the HTC mail app. Gmail, hotmail, outlook.com - none of them work. Each time it gives this error:
Warning
503 80376: This device is not snc capable.
The above is not a typo; it actually says 'snc'
Any ideas on this one? I'm not finding anything at all on the web about it

Stock GB 2.3.3, s-off - but I'm upgrading to GingerBangSense 5.0.1 Ext right now in fact
so...I successfully upgraded to the new custom ROM, but I'm still getting this error when trying to add email accounts. Strangely enough, if I add my outlook.com account as an Activesync Exchange account, it works. Attempting to add a hotmail or any other email account gives the above error.

I'm using the CM10 global ROM and I've had no issues setting up Exchange or IMAP email using the built-in email app. You may want to try a different custom ROM?

You can try delete account, uninstall gmail, clean application files by SD Maid (you need PRO version for this), reboot and reinstall gmail again. Or, do a full clean/wipe install ROM. I’ve used both ROMs and never had problem with gmail.
I uninstalled and installed gmail back. I deleted the data files from the application manager. I forgot to mention that in my last post but its still the same i just dont get the problem. All settings are correct but still it does not sync. Theres another app that has the same problem. Whatsapp syncs well but gmail just wont sync
