Looked but didn't see a section for it. Unless I'm blind or something. Does anyone have one? Anyone have any insight on it thinking about getting one tomorrow
Thanks

their is the flyer, its evo view minus the the data plan. Didn't see much on insight, but I didn't look that hard either on the posts, just skimmed through them. Hope that helps.
Thanks. Need the data plan. Going to rock 4G if Phoenix ever gets it

lol, yep in phx too, supposedly August, but that what they said last year too.
I love it
Just got it like two days ago I love it so far ...my friend has an I pad and he admits that although the screen is slightly smaller ..that the view is better ....but I did notice that there is no section here ....what's up xda?! ... The apps still need to catch up to this device though ...a couple here and there don't work properly but the view is only a couple days old
I just use my EVO to teather to this device **** limited data plan

Nothing useful yet
Using the flyer forum to learn what I can. I'm down for a separate View forum if there is truly a difference. Would be nice if XDA would at least hyphenate the flyer forum so View users would know to look there!
View FTW!

I haven't the slightest idea where to ask this, but I think there should be a placeholder section started for the upcoming LG Optimus 3D. That's the phone I wish I could get but I'm cursed with all the kickass phones of the day coming out 1/4 of the way into my 2-year contract. So.... the only advantage to the Pptimus 3d for me now is the fact that by the time i get it XDA ought to be well prepared for me to customize the hell out of it.
The unofficial release date of the phone it the 25th of this month.... so yeah.
Mods feel free to move to the right place.
There s all ready an optimus 3d section http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1073

Hm, how about the Xperia neo? Or are we waiting for a system dump?
Ok guys, here's my "delimma". I have an upgrade available to me. I've been wanting a gs2 since it came out in Europe. I had every intention of getting this within the first week it came out on tmo. BUT, reading about all the issues with lines on the screen, resolution, etc, I'm skeptical. It's basically going to be this phone or I'll cancel my line (I'm on a family line). I havent had a chance to play with one in person yet. So, in the meantime, I'm trying to gather opinions on the phone.
With all that being said, if you had a chance to relive Wednesday or whatever day you bought the gs2, would you buy it again?

Yes i would .Coming from vibrant running cm7 . Love this Damn thing
Definitely. My Iphone 4 got stolen two days ago, and yesterday I picked up this phone. Didn't even consider a 4S. Done with Apple and ready to get back into xda and the root world Tmo's 4G is amazing too.
i try to buy Samsung phones only. Samsung phones are slim and lightweight!
the lighter the phone, the more comfortable holding in hand!

yup! I love the phone. More so then the G2X.
I would for sure. I think it's the best phone on T-Mobile and T-Mobile is the cheapest out of the major wireless providers for me.
I am eligible for an upgrade to my iPhone 3GS from AT&T. Picked up a Galaxy S II and ported my number over to TMO. Almost everything about this phone is better than my old iPhone. Couldn't be happier. Oh, and I'm paying less for my plan, too!
Yep, I can relate to some. I tried the epic 4g touch version on sprint. If I could swap the internals with that it would be more awesome. As it stands though, once root is here and I can tether I'll be stoked. As of right now I'm happy with it. It feels solid and has a professional look and feel to it.

I'm going to give it a try again. The SGS2 was the phone I wanted from the git go. Sounds like the ones with the least amount of problems are the 9/28 boxes.
I'm going to give it one more chance tomorrow after I get off of work and I'll keep it over the weekend. I honestly really want to love the SGS2.

Maybe this is just me venting but im so tired of people with an evo 3d talkin crap about the gs2. Me and my girlfriend both bought the 3d on launch day and it was ok at first but as soon as i saw the white epic we both dumped the evos. The galaxy screen is bigger and brighter. Way clearer. The battery last twice as long. The phone its self is faster with no lag at all. And to me the main difference is the camera. The camera is 100 times better then that ****ty evo camera. People defend the evo i think bc they have no upgrade but want the gs2 so they live in denial lol. The evo 3d cost as much as the original evo now (49$) and it hasnt even been a year yet. If you have a 3d do yourself a favor....sell it on craigslist then buy your self an epic off craigslist. Mite cost you 200 bucks when said in done. If not please come to grip with the fact the 3d is nowhere near as good as the gs2

Why didn't you just post this in the Evo 3d section then? Although Ranting in a public forum probably isn't going to get you far. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Htc has a big following.... I'm not going to say they are similar to apple fans but people that started with Htc and loved it they have stuck with them. Out of all software skins avaliable from device manufactures I must say sence has been the best. Also rooting with that phone and other software stuff has been easier with the HTC evo line of phones.

It not animosity I'm just making a point.... On my evo I never had to flash 10 kernels, 3 different recoveries and use Odin just to flash 1rom. I have seen this one too many times and I am gonna go ahead and close this thread right here for a few reasons:
1. It simply opens the floor for flaming in large magnitudes;
2. It is not in the right section (should actually be in OT rather than here);
3. There is no point to this other than you venting.
Sorry but thread closed.

Lol...you crack me up with this. I am curious to see if Sammy will still use MTP on the S3. I was reading a post from a Cyanogen kernel dev last night explaining that since Sammy chose this route their Touchwiz phones (all variants of S2) will always require separate kernels for AOSP and Touchwiz ROMs. I guess we are the only ones that can't have these great "any kernels." I can post a screenshot where it was explained in more detail if anyone is interested. It may be a reason why we have so few kernel devs on board

Hello.
I am thinking of getting a newer phone and am wanting to know what u think of the droid bionic, thunderbolt, rezound, or lg lucid, this are the best phones under 140$ that is why those ones lol. What do u think is better to spend the money on and use on page plus ? Thanks

You'd have to check on page plus. I'm not sure about that one. Spec wise the Rezound is the best phone on your list.

I would like to point out that our device is pretty darn special in the phone-world. It runs the latest software nearly flawlessly and has stood the test of time.
Take just a moment or two perhaps to consider what it takes to make this phone. Wars are fought to obtain the ore used in the display.
Discarded obsolete electronics is then shipped to Africa where environmental laws are lax.
According to a documentary on YouTube I saw i think from journeyman productions, children and adults alike scavenge the toxic garbage that gets piled in a giant heap right off the barge.
Having no other way to sustain themselves, they have no choice but search for copper and other valuable waste product.
Truly a pitiful existence certainly beyond any ordinary westerners comprehension, their only respite is dulling their hopelessness by sniffing hydrocarbons (mineral spirits, acetone, etc).
Just acknowledge these implications to yourself and ask, do i really need this to be happy? Is it worth it? Just because everyone else is doing it don't make it right.
One love.
