Desire/Reflex/Data/Timeriffic problem? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Flashed Reflex_S_2.1.7_LITE_GingerBread_Sense-2.1_GRI40_A2SD+ and 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08 for my first rom.
Phone is rooted and S-OFF, completely wiped and the SD card was repartitioned as part of the flashing process.
I use Timeriffic/APNDroid to switch data off overnight to limit traffic on my capped usage plan. Since flashing this rom and re-installing my apps etc I've noticed that wi-fi gets switched but the 3g connection never gets switched off.
At the moment I am having the manually switch off by settings or power button.
Any ideas / pointers?

[Q] loosing network data capability

I am having an odd problem whereby I stop my data connection and sync over night and when I re enable them in the morning my phone will completely refuse to make a data connection on the phone network. I can re establish wifi and connect using that.
I have taken the battery out, booted with no sim and then rebooted with the SIM in still with no joy.
I have a desire which was running the Baadnwz coin drop rom with Alpharev S-off. I removed the rom and even tried ReflexTSense 1.8 and this has done the same thing.
I have temporarily had to revert to a stock rom (the phone is from O2 and their current ROM is 2.14.207.1) which has given me a data connection back.
Does anyone have any ideas apart from leave the data connection active?
UPDATE!
I noticed that when I installed the ReflexTSense ROM I needed to do a battery pull as the recovery mode stalled after the install was complete. I updated the recovery partition with change after installing the ROM.
I have just started from scratch and have installed ReflexTsense successfully including the recovery partition working as it should.
Could there be an issue between HBoot and ROM?

Unable to turn on wifi (NTelos rom needed)

Hi all, sorry to troll, but I have an almost brand new HTC One V on the NTELOS (Virginia) network. After I rooted it, (using the htcdev onlock procedure), I attempted to install cyanogenmod 10 on it.
I thought that I had a good backup, but unfortunately did not notice the backup had failed due to not enough space on the sd card.
When CM10 did not proceed beyond the boot screen, I held down the power key and forced the unit off.
From that point on, any rom I install does not allow me to turn on or connect to any network (mobile or wifi).. When I check for the WIFI Mac address, it says 'unknown'. I am thinking this is a kernel issue, but each kernel I have tried either does not recognize the wifi radio, or does and crashes whenever the cell side tries to roam.
So, if anyone has a stock/good backup for this phone on the NTelos network (virgin mobile apparently has a different radio/config), I would be grateful. As now, ironically, I have a smart phone that cannot get data.

[solved] [Q] No signal (after switching Airplane mode on/off "too quickly")

edit: solution
Flashed the latest available drivers from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32317076&postcount=5 (4.2.2 (JDQ39) LTE FK01/CDMA FK02 Radios) and this fixed the problem.
Hello,
I had an episode where I needed to reconnect to a tower/give my radio a refresh quickly so I switched Airplane mode on, then off shortly after (10-15 sec), ever since my phone has stopped receiving any kind of network signal. The GPS still works but I have no CDMA/LTE signal at all. All antenna apps indicate that I have absolutely no signal.
Things I've tried:
Switched network mode to CDMA only, then back to LTE/CDMA
Switched roaming options (auto/home)
Turned WiFi/GPS on/off (I suppose this is pretty much irrelevant)
Ran Fix Permissions from recovery (I don't recall what this does, but I figured it wouldn't hurt)
Flashed latest version of 4.0.4 radio without wiping Cache/Dalvik Cache
Wiped Cache/Dalvik Cache, flashed 4.0.4 radio
None of these have restored the signal, and I'm at a bit of a loss regarding what I should do to restore signal short of doing a complete wipe/reflash.
Any tips on debugging/troubleshooting appreciated.
Thanks!

[Q] Data Blinking on new SIM

Hi,
I got a new Vodafone Prepaid SIM card. When I turn on the data, I just get the 3G symbol, it turns to 'H', stays on for 3 seconds, turns back to '3G' and then disappears. This whole process keeps repeating every 5 seconds.
A couple of months ago, I accidentally formatted the system partition in cmw recovery and I could any signal. So, I used an old nandroid back up, restored the EFS (.bin and .md5 files) from the radio folder. After that I had no problems, even after flashing new ROMs.
May be a dumb observation, but my previous sim was a PostPaid Vodafone and the new one is Prepaid. Does this affect how the radios I restored from my Old Nandroid backup alter the way data is being connected?
Even now, the signal strength is good and I am able to make Voice calls without any problems. Its just the data connection that keeps blinking.
I searched around and found a similar T-Mobile bug where people edited the build.prop (ro.telephoney.ril.v3) and got this working for HTC phones. I tried that and it didn't work.
I've attached my build.prop here. I don't know what to do. Please help.
OK.. sorry for pressing the panic button too early. I raised a complaint with Vodafone and they refreshed my data settings (after taking their sweet time). Now I'm able to connect to Data.

Suddenly device can't access internet

I'm running the latest beta rom, and since yesterday my device can't connect to internet no matter if i'm connected to a wireless router (i have tried 3 different routers in different places, home, work, friend's home) or using my data plan. Last thing I was doing was sending and receiving messages. After that I went to sleep and when I woke up device had no internet access even though I could see the Wi-Fi symbol or/and the 4G symbol from my carrier.
I have rebooted the device, switched it off, enabled airplane mode, wiped cache from within recovery. I even dirty flashed latest beta zip on top of the rom i'm already running, but nothing helped.
Any suggestion on what to do?
If it's possible I don't want to wipe everything and set the device up all over the beginning. The device isn't rooted and I don't have Titanium backup installed in order to restore the device in few minutes.

Wipe system, reflash the rom. You don't lose anything it just overwrites the system partition and pray it works. Otherwise you are going to need to do a full clean install. Keep in mind it's Open Beta, stability issue might be there more often.
