Would someone please be kind enough to create a flashable Adblock zip for EF02? I dont want to use and or install the adblocking app.
Thanks in advance
Why?

Can't u just get it from the market?
Sent from my Epicâ„¢ 4G using XDA Premium app
Just install the AdBlocking app, have it block the adds then uninstall it. It will leave the modified host file active. If there ever comes a time you need to run something that the host file is blocking all you will have to do is reinstall and select revert to remove the modified host file.
Why is because I want to block ads. While I appreciate the other comments, I have only used Flashable files before this and I cant stand the app itself.
Paul627g... I have tried your method but it does not work. Might you have any other ideas?
The eco5 ad blocking works on my phone...

so might anyone provide me with a flashable EF02 zip?
Why would anybody bother making you a zip when you can just install the app from the market?

I hadn't heard of Samsung free apps before, but engadget ( http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/21/samsungs-in-a-gifting-mood-is-giving-away-up-to-16-free-games/) just listed a method for getting free apps from Samsung. Apparently you instal an apk and tell the store you're in Europe. Unfortunately the apk is only for the 9100 ie ATT.
EDIT: Just use the apk ysuleman posted below, it works and is easy.
Or you could pull it from the telus roms, they come with a version for our phone.
is there any new word on this? i know our gs2 is only 1 of 5 vairents but it still falls under a gs2.
The Samsung apps works on both of Mr. x's ROM's. I had trouble trying to pull it from there and use them It on other ROM's.

Works on stock rooted
I am still on stock TW but made a quick dialer for CM10 JellyBean (Sprint) and I need someone to test it and tell me how it looks.
Make a backup first just in case then use ES File explorer or similar to copy and paste into system/app
This contacts.apk is from cm-10-20120722-UNOFFICIAL-d2spr.zip release, just in case you need to know, but I believe it should work on all cm10 releases.
Changes you should notice are dialer buttons, contact list picture and in-call contact picture. The Dialer should look similar to stock TW, more or less.
Post screenshots.
downloaded, placed in system apps with root explorer, rebooted. No issues

Most likely need root to have that kind of access.
Or just get CWM Recovery installed somehow, then download this file on your phone from this link "SU-Busybox-Installer.zip" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
and flash that in CWM in the Install from ZIP section.
That should work.
Michael
Would that work? Using odin to flash cwm into the phone with out a rootwd image?

I've had it happen with a few select websites, but it became a lot more apparent when I had an app fail as well.
I've cleared/wiped everything that I could think of, turned off preloading, etc

A lot of the ROM's advertise "no ads" in their descriptions.
I looked at the hosts file on my phone that came with FreeGS, and indeed, games.espn.go.com is blocked.
Take a look at yours... Its in the system/etc folder. If its blocked in yours, use a simple text editor to remove that line from the hosts file and then reboot.
You will need to be rooted in order to make changes to the hosts file, I believe, but if you re on a ROM, you are already rooted.
Hello, is there any other way to obtain XDA premium app rather than market?
I have bought premium app but after ROM change my device is not compatible.

At present there isn't any other way, but I've passed on the issue.
What device and rom worked, and doesn't work?
Sony erricson mini pro, worked fine under JB Rom, does not work under GB Rom.
Solved issue by installing ICS ROM.
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium
The recent update requires Android version 3.0 and up, and hence shows as incompatible with GB
This signature space is dedicated to the OT Thanks feature. RIP OT thanks, you shall be missed.
Install on ICS. Pull apk from phone, backup somewhere, reflash GB, reinstall apk.

thats one workaround alright.. but what if you have a phone which has only GB?? Its not like ICS is available to all phones you know..
Mod Edit: This is WAREZ!!!
Find an outdated version then, also, might be able to edit build.prop to make compatible.
