Poor Performance in TW4 - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm getting pretty poor performance and crashes when I try to save settings with TW4. Is this common since it's a port or is this a problem on my end? I'm using the version included in AnonymousRom i3. If it's common, what's the best alternative launcher to use? Doesn't matter whether it's paid or not.

You have to delete tw3 to use tw4, don't you?

Netflix was never ported...
There was an apk made that doesn't check device, or there was changes made to build.prop in order to make it work

Netflix was made for gingerbread since we have leak some got the apk and it worked on the epic (2.3)

It will work when someone with enough know how decides to pull the apk apart and see if they can disable the device check. Continually asking this question is like asking "When will the government agree on healthcare"... its not something that you can get a concrete answer to. So unless you would like to learn how to code and edit the application yourself, have patience. These Dev's are not paid, but if enough people want it, they generally work on it.

There is an apk for 2.3. You probably will not see Netflix as long as you are on 2.2. There's not much reason at this point for a dev to pour tons (probably hundreds) of hours into it at this point.

This one tries to imitate the look ICS if you haven't seen it already in the market:

It has been attempted but the framework is so different that until there are stable ports to different devices it will not work out.
The one in the market to me just isn't good at all. I mean they did good work but just the fact that they insist on having those onscreen buttons there and not make them option is what bugs me the most. The app drawer is going to be a chore to try to even imitate. Like I said they do good work but they don't seem to take user input very seriously.
I feel the same about all android imitated launchers in the market, froyo, GB, ICS ex... But I think Ics is ugly anyways, that's why when it comes out for our phone, I will theme the hell out of it on day #1.

Zeam launcher is sexy, however, I didn't know the non-scrolling was related to touchwiz, so I will now be downloading zeam.
Cm9 doesn't have scrolling lag nor does any of the newest cm7 nightlies... however there is a flashable to incorporate the smooth scrolling mod in development.
As for the reboots its the gapps that does it and you must wait for the phone to load completely before downloading andinstalling apps and if that doest help then you'll need to wipe data in cwm and reboot

Actually it has lots of lag scrolling up and down on contacts, in manage applications, and anywhere you can scroll through long lists. It's like it is sticky. But great for an Alpha. Seems CM7 is my daily now and CM9 is my toy.

Cm9? Or 7?
Cm9 is android 4.0.3 so a lot better than other ROM's
However some quirks such as high ram etc. Also there are certain tweaks other roms don't have ie CyanogenMod Settings. I'm not too sure but I have tw, cm7, miui , and cm9 backed up on my phone and jump from them on a day to day basis

Pay no attention to Biggies delusions, he runs his Epic at 2.0 Ghz with a turbo Nitrous afterburner and also wouldn't know lag if it fell on him...LOL. Everyone else but you are reporting that it takes more effort to scroll on CM9 and doesn't scroll a lot with a quick swipe.

what do they mean when they say its "native" i always thought that was just another word for preinstalled app for some reason,
It's written for android. The last app was a wrapper for an html5 website and wasn't actually an app coded for android.

So since its new will it be better on the battery instead of it being a battery killer? Cuz if not ill just rather use the browser for fb instead of an app that's going to kill my battery.

Interestingly enough, I did not notice it updated and/or was any different... So either it is not that much of an improvement or maybe I just don't use enough of it's features to see it.
I been using this app a lot, it is way better than it was, but there is a lot they still can improve upon.
