I really need help guys plz help me i dont how to fix this it all started when i apply the new wimax radio if u can help im a android fan
Might help to explain what you are trying to do when you get this error.
Also when requesting help, try to include the following info:
1) hardware & software versions
2) the recovery & rom you are using
3) the problem you are having
4) what are you doing when the problem occurs
5) what are the expected results
6) any error messages you encounter
Sorry if I'm long winded. I work in a help desk. Providing accurate details always makes it easier to find potential solutions.
you're probably talking about the "Error Code 67" message that says your Sprint PCS Vision username / password are incorrect or something like that. Basically that is sprint's way of saying its not recognizing your phone's credentials on its network. if so, the simple way to fix this is call sprint and go thru their tech support until you get escalated to a real technician who will inadvertently give you your phone's MSL. (or find out your msl some other way) and will try to walk you thru the rest of the process of restoring your data profile.
but, if you want to try it yourself:
open phone app, type ##3282#
enter unlock code (6 digit msl)
>Edit Mode>Data Profile>(Menu Button)>Restore

I get this once in a while. Usually rebooting fixes it.

Rooted phones? ^^^
Have yet to get this error.
I used to get this silly error on my blackberry too so I doubt it is simply because my Evo is rooted.
Hmm. Can't wait to 67 for the first time.
im not sure if you said your rooted or on stock rom, if your rooted you need to be running the stock rooted rom, then go to the section where you can update your prl and profile. update both it will act like its not working but it will say updated successfully, reboot, then should fix issue.
Just update your profile and PRL whenever you get this after doing a reboot, and reboot again.
It happens to everyone, it just means Sprint's network had a hiccup, or you tried to turn on Sprint's hotspot app or HTC's wired tether without paying for it.

Ditto. I agree this usually works... Sometimes just a profile update is enough.
As far as the comments about "Rooting" being the cause... I saw the error 67 Data Failure at initial boot out of the box as the phone was being activated

Are there any other suggestions for this? both profile and PRL update attempts fail because this error blocks the data connection completely. I have also never attempted to use sprint hotspot or any other tethering options.
1) hardware & software versions
-Hardware: 0003
-Software:
--Firmware Version: 2.1 -update1
--Baseband Version: 2.05.00.06.10
--Kernel Version: 2.6.29-789bf291 [email protected] #1
--Build Number: 1.47.651.1 CL195459 release-keys
2) the recovery & rom you are using
-unsure?
3) the problem you are having
-constant "Error code 67"
4) what are you doing when the problem occurs
-anything, most common with any data operations or activating the 4g connection
5) what are the expected results
-not getting an error. having access to data
6) any error messages you encounter
-"Error code 67"

Just FYI, if you saw that on launch day (and especially if you don't live on the East coast) that was due to Sprint's authentication servers being overwhelmed from all the new data and phone activations. Literally took two hours and three calls to Customer Service to get my phone's data connection fully activated and clear out the Error 67 messages.

Have you gone to a Sprint corporate store or nagged customer service lately? What ROM are you currently running?
I was on phone for 4 hours yesterday with same issue...no data due to error 67....finally a hard reset solved my problem. It reprovisioned data immediately upon reboot. Just make sure you fully backup before doing so. I used titanium backup and I'm good to go now with data.

I started getting this out of the blue this morning, all morning. Kept trying to update profile, but that wouldn't work. Kept power cycling, update profile through 3g, then update profile through wifi. Eventually it went through, took a while and many tries though.
Sent from my blah blah blah blah
the thing was it was updating but then the error would pop right up shortly after... but now all the sudden its been ok... so i guess ill wait it out until the replacement gets here and if its still ok i guess ill send the replacement back

I'm getting the same Error.. But I'm on Cricket network.. what would I need to change ...
Hi. I just got an evo from someone and unfortunately they had upgraded the system to 2.2 froyo ota. so right now the phone is stuck on digital roaming and there is no way for me to update the prl. I already tried with cdma workshop ver 3.5.5 paid, Qpst 2.7 build 355. on cdma workshop it says the new prl has been writen but the phone stays on roaming so is not writing the prl to the phone. on qpst it's giving me roaming list receive failed and it's failing to retrieve the phone's information. I also tried to update the prl from the phone settings but that's also failing. if anyone has any ideas please feel free to post them so I can try them thanks.
I was able to downgrade to 2.1 and root the phone using the new method but unfortunately my prl still says version 00000 and I'm still roaming anyone else has had this problem with the prl showing zero's and unable to change it.
Ok. Guys here is what i have tried so far. Cdma workshop. Qdxm qpst unicdma and ##775# to try to update the prl and all of there programs say the prl was successfully updated but once i check the prl version is 00000. Now i have 2 phones with the same issue, one working on sprint and the other on boost mobile i get all my phones from craigslist .. One of the phones became stuck on roaming after trying to repair meid with cdma workshop.. I have tried with several different prls. Tried to copy all the nv items from another evo that is not roaming but nothing helps i know the nam config is good because i compared with the evo that is working.. Everything on the phones work i'm able to make calls, mms,web browsing the only thing is that 3g is extremely slow and that i have the triangle on top of the signal bars..and on boost mobile once i drive a couple of blocks from my house and try to make a call it says verizon wireless your feature update was sucessfull and i'm not able to call until i return home. I'm sure the prl on these phones got corrupted somehow.. How can i repair a corrupted prl..i have done a least 10 android phones incredible, samsung moment, htc evo for family and friends and this is the first time i have ran into this issue.. If anyone knows ho to get rid of this corrupted prl please help me.. Also i have access to a couple of good evos and cdma workshop 3.6 i would like to try and copy the flash from the good working evo and put it on one of these with the corrupted prl but i have not been successful trying..thanks guys for all your help..
I'm assuming you have done the easy way already... ##786# for a factory reset, then battery out while the phone is at the white evo screen the SECOND time... leave the battery out for 15-30 minutes... battery in and power it on to boot. Should reactivate, update PRI if it needs it, and also update PRL. It is a factory wipe, but in your case, that should be no problem.
I have an evo 4g on Sprint, HW rev 3. Was originally running CM9, but that's irrelevant to this problem...
So, I tried to update my radio last week. The first attempt broke the radio -- it was a bad download, I guess. I was able to get a new one over using RA recovery and successfully flash.
I got into a Sense rom, then had no data. Tried profile reset, no luck. Tried ##RTN# reset, no luck. Every time, the phone activates successfully and I can make calls, but data isn't provisioned and I can't get 3G data (4G works fine). Error 67 all over the place, even when trying to update profile.
After tons of research, I found out that it was not authenticating to the 3G network even on Profile 0. Here's the punchline: Using QXDM I read out my AAA secret, it is all zeros! NV positions 465, 466, 1194, and 1196 all read back as zero. Somehow they got wiped.
Is there any way to recover these on my own? If not, can Sprint reset the NV registers to something useful?
Reprovision the data services.
##rtn#
It forces hands free activation.
Hey everyone,
So I've been flashing ROMs on my Epic for about 2 years now, and I'm very VERY used to troubleshooting issues and solving them by either browsing the forums or doing it myself. However, I CANNOT get 4G to work on this phone except for stock EC05. I am currently running 4.3 with the latest gapps on the new Carbon Unofficial epicmtd ROM, with deodexed FC09 radio. I get **** service and can't connect to 4G. This happens consistently with all the ROM's I've used as well as the radios for anything past CM7. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this situation? I would really like to not have to flash it over to another carrier due to sprint being horrible service providers.
tl;dr how do I get 4G working on FC09

I offer this suggestion with much caution....
Ever consider using EFS Clear within Odin? You'll have to setup your phone again, but it could help.
WARNING: This will completely delete your phone identification and you won't be able to reconnect to Sprint's network until you set it up manually again. Write down all your pertinent information, such as MEID #, phone number, etc..
From stock FC09, I recall having to do the following to enter the information:
Enter in the dialpad: ##785468#
Press Edit
Touch the number area to input your phone number.
Input your phone like: 5551112222 (Where you have area code and then phone with no dashes, spaces or parenthesis)
Hit return
Input your phone number like before in the next field
Hit return
Hit done
Manually update your profile in Settings > About Phone > Status
You can always just call up customer care and ask them the steps on how to reconnect your phone to the network. I just said a little cousin starting hitting buttons and when I grabbed the phone it refused to allow calls, text and data.

Nevermind, I understand now. How much success have you had with this process? And do I just need the phone's status splash screen information or am I manually entering EVERYTHING?
I can get talk and text to work only by putting in the MDN & MIN manually. I have tried ##72786# and it wiped all my nam settings clean but kept pageplus data profile in tact. I tried replacing all the [email protected] with MEID(hex)@hcm.sprintpcs.com still no luck.
I tried: 61007.prl 60670.prl 01115.prl and still no OTA Profile Updating or PRL Updating.
I have a Note 2 and you don't need a working data profile to Handfree Activate it works over WiFi. I tried wifi on this epic and it disables itself right away requiring that 3G data.
I have teamviewer, qpst, and dfs installed if someone is willing to take a crack at it. I just wasted over 12 hours on this.
