Hey, just wondering if anyone has gotten the g2 to work over 3g yet. Tried to do the whole keep your wifi on in the background, but hasn't worked once. I'm running the latest cyanogen nightly.
Doesn't work for me either. I think its a "accident" or bug that causes it to work with some phone brands like samsung and motorol. It will probably soon be fixed entirely or unlocked for all phones

I have one of the 1st White EVO's from Sprint and ever since It's been Rooted and running various ROMs I've had this issue where Every time I get a call and use my BT-Headset, it kills my WiFi connection. If I use my Speaker phone option the WiFi stays on and works just fine. Roms I've tried and this issue persist: AVA-Froyo, Fresh Rom, Freak-E Froyo, and currently running MIUI. All have been the latest versions. I've update my Radios with the current Radio "Combo Zip" and still have this issue. I've tried various headsets from the $9.99 Cheapo's to my $99.99 Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and still have this issue. If there is something I'm missing or anyone else has had this issue with the EVO, please help or point me in the right direction. What's the point of having a phone that's supposed to multi task with Voice and Data if the built-in features are killing each other?
*!Update!*

I am now running the latest [EVO NonSense v3.4] ROM and it's all good. I've made several calls and my WiFi and 4G are working as they should. Plus my Bluetooth transmission is a 100 times clearer as well. I'm no expert, but my only conclusion is that it could be the Kernels.
Does anyone know if the [2.6.32.15-gof673ed [email protected] #10] will work with the above mentioned ROMs, particularly the latest MIUI?
Thanks in advance for any help and quick replies.
I posted about this a little while back, have the same problem
On call through my voyager pro wifi is intermittent. I don't think it kills it, only makes it so slow that almost everything times out. Almost randomly it goes in and out. Same with 4g as well
Edit: Not rooted
I can't play any game online.. well technically i can, but only for a few minutes
every game i play on it, i get disconnections.. wifi or 3g or H
Anyone else have this issue?
any fixes???
Well technically they are still working kinks out. Keep in mind it's still in RC mode.
I've been having problems too.
I was thinking maybe we could pull the wifi files from the stock 2.1 rom and brew them into a CM release?
i'm not sure if that would work though, considering they're 2 different android versions.
another thing we could try is flashing a different kernel.
Those are about the only ideas i have
I have the samsung Vibrant T-959 and I am sure alot of you know that there is NO Official Release of 2.3.4 on this phone. but there ARE tons of roms with it from leaks... Gingerbread has been rather buggy on the vibrant from get go, but it has been worked and modded millions of time to seem perfectly stable. you are now able to run gingerbread on the vibrant perfectly with no Imperfections..
But yet, Wifi calling still isnt possible yet.
I have been working to get wifi calling to work on this phone for awhile now, can anyone help me with what ALL is needed in the phone to get this to work correctly..
using the tmobile wifi calling app, it hangs on "Enabling"..
so there is something missing, something not there not allowing it to Enable the calling..
if anyone can help, this would be a HUGE help..
thanks, in advanced

My friend got a Galaxy nexus he brought from amazon and asked me to root, unlock and install jelly bean on it because he cant wait. He is though, just a fan of stock and has no idea of rooting or any development, so i flashed on his phone the ota (bigxie_maguro_JRN84D_v2-signed.zip) then a radio (CWM-RADIO-i9250-JB.zip)... it went okay for a few weeks then he noticed a problem where his signal turned on and off very rapidly... especially in 3g, but when shifted into 2g, his signal seems to be fine.. i asked him what he did but he said he did nothing in particular that could have affected the signal.. he doesnt use his root access though so i believe him. i tried flashing different radio, and it didnt work. so can any of you guys can help us? thanks a bunch
send it back if you can. I'm still trying to get a perfectly working Nexus
When I was having issues with my signal (my RIL and baseband did not match) I found this app mentioned in the modem thread https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sibbor.getril and it seems to have helped resolve the issue for me. Hopefully it'll be of some use for your friend if he is experiencing the same issue.

I installed CM12.1 on my d851 and I cannot disconnect calls. I tap the red button to hang up and the phone app hangs on "hanging up" but does not actually disconnect. Has anyone successfully gotten the CM12.1 dialer to work on the T-Mobile G3?
I have the same issue when I install other custom roms based on CM.
Any help would be appreciated.
Re: dialer will not hang up
Hi,
Did you ever work this out as I'm also having issues with CM
12.1 not hanging up on galaxy s3 Verizon.
Thanks
David
Having the same issue as well 2 i605 on cm 12.1 just switched from rip off VZW to T-Mobile and this bug started. Phones worked fine on Verizon... Can someone please get this fixed?
i don't have a solution for cm12.1 but maybe if i share the (quick) solution that was used in cm11, some smart person here can figure it out--hopefully, once and for all.
in cm11, all you had to do was add a single character to a field in build.prop, which was something like:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=newDriverCall
to get:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=newDriverCallU
in cm12.1, the rom is presumably already shipped with the correct settings:
ro.telephony.ril.config=newDriverCallU,newDialCode
but does not work (for those of us using sph-720, especially). someone who understands android can maybe port the old (and simple) fix to the new one(?)
also, i appreciate the work guys do to get us these builds, but it'd be nice not to reintroduce big issues like these as it basically forces a potential user not use the rom, which then wastes the hard work of porting it to a particular device in the first place. i can live without data since i use wifi heavily, but not being able to receive calls is a no-no.
